The End of Meat By Paul Walker

First, earlier in the year, it was all of that climate change nonsense from Greenies about how we needed to save the planet by not eating meat, although that was reserved for the West, China, as a developing society, whatever that means, could eat meat, just to catch up. But now, enter the world of coronavirus shutdowns and a real threat to the meat industry, at least overseas at present, but the same trend will come to Australia no doubt:
  https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/price-meat-climbing-quickly-more-food-processing-plants-close

“As we pointed out earlier in the week, China-owned Smithfield Food's decision to temporarily shutter the largest pork processing plant in the US, based in Sioux Falls, SD, due to a coronavirus outbreak is a much more significant even than the mainstream media gave credit for. While WaPo focused on bashing the state's governor, whose refusal to issue a 'stay at home' order was blamed for the outbreak, the real significant wasn't accorded sufficient time and attention, we feel. The real takeaway here, is that the supply chain for American staples was badly damaged by the outbreak, with the damage still more extensive and stubborn than government officials have really acknowledged. Two months on, and millions of Americans are still having trouble finding toilet paper and sterilizing wipes. A comprehensive list of products in perpetual short-supply would be quite lengthy, at this point. For all we know, Smithfield might be only the beginning. Earlier on Sunday, we noted a Hormel foods plant in Illinois has been forced to close temporarily after a cluster of cases in the surrounding counties was traced back to workers at the plant. That could leave millions of Americans without access to popular processed foods like Spam. An unopened can of Spam can keep for between 2 an 5 years, depending on storage conditions. If closures like these continue, it could add further strain on the supply chain. Everywhere you look, you see experts talking about an overabundance of food thanks to the closure of restaurants, which has resulted in unprecedented levels of food waste. But sadly, thanks to the way our food distribution is set up, if there's no way to process the products, package them and then distribute them to markets around the country, then the food will spoil before it's eaten. And if enough hungry, scared, desperate and irrepressibly, unceasingly furious Americans hear that piles of food are being left to spoil in the farm belt as the country starves - or if a sudden burst of inflation rattles both the Fed and hungry Americans as one of the many worst-case "supply-side" shocks unfolds - well, they just might riot. Bloomberg warned on Sunday that these closures, along with a handful of others, are already putting upward pressure on meat prices at the point of sale in the market. As more processing facilities close, supermarkets are left with fewer options - because unfortunately many farmers who sell mostly to restaurants simply aren't equipped to ship to supermarkets, and these types of changes unfortunately take time, as frustrating as that might sound.”

Here Come the Famines of Biblical Proportions: UN By Brian Simpson

This is hot from our feathered friends at the UN today:

“Noting that the global spread of COVID-19 this year has sparked “the worst humanitarian crisis since World War Two”, Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) David Beasley pointed to deepening crises, more frequent natural disasters and changing weather patterns, saying “we’re already facing a perfect storm”. As millions of civilians in conflict-scarred nations teeter on the brink of starvation, he said, “famine is a very real and dangerous possibility”. Mr. Beasley painted a grim picture of 135 million people facing crisis levels of hunger or worse, coupled with an additional 130 million on the edge of starvation prompted by Coronavirus, noting that WFP currently offers a lifeline to nearly 100 million people – up from about 80 million just a few years ago. “If we can’t reach these people with the life-saving assistance they need, our analysis shows that 300,000 people could starve to death every single day over a three-month period”, he upheld. “This does not include the increase of starvation due to COVID-19”.

The Coming of Starvation in the West By Brian Simpson

It looks like the horsemen of the apocalypse are riding in the West. Regardless of the debates about the severity of Covid-19, and coronaviruses to quickly come after it, there is a growing concern about food shortages, arising from the economic shutdowns. (In my tiredness  I accidentally typed “sh*tdown” which I think may have to become a word.). It would be a bitter irony if more people ended up dying of malnutrition and associated diseases that from the virus.

“The journey from field to plate has been interrupted in our locked down world. Why it matters: With some crops rotting in fields and others subject to export bans, the coronavirus crisis could cause shortages in richer countries and hunger in poorer ones. In Europe, as in North America, the harvest depends on migration.

When You Social Distance So Well the Cops have to Find You by Helicopter! By Bruce Bennett

Overseas folk are laughing at this classic piece of new-world-orderism, but really, the police are only doing their job, and if you have a helicopter, why try and use it to bust ethnic drug growing, now an institution in certain cities,  when you can track down isolated family campers, who may be passing on Covid-19 to … nobody:
  https://www.theaustralian.com.au/arts/books/reporter-bob-bottom-shone-light-on-darkness/news-story/0773866231a97cb51ff57614fa2af4e2

“Police in Tasmania are using a surveillance helicopter to track down people camping in remote locations in violation of coronavirus lockdown laws. “Tasmania Police officers conducting aerial surveillance around the state, including on the North-West Coast located several campsites where people were directed to leave and return home,” reports The Advocate. “When u social distance so well that the cops have to find u by helicopter,” tweeted Twitter user @PetiteNicoco. 17 people across the state were charged with a lockdown offense in a period of just 24 hours over the Easter weekend. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter “landed near campsites which were viewed from the air” to interrogate campers in the region. Where the chopper couldn’t land, officers were dispatched to the area on foot. Commander Rob Blackwood called the campers “selfish” for endangering other people during the COVID-19 pandemic despite them literally being around no other people. “Covert and marked police vehicles, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, will continue to undertake patrols around the state, so if you’re away from your primary residence you can expect police to stop and speak to you about your movements,” Tasmania Police said on their Facebook page. The practice was denounced by many as absurd overkill given that the campers are hardly posing a threat to anybody.”

Coming soon – the Oz-bat Epidemic By Viv Forbes

15 April 2020

PM Morrison warns of health risks from China’s wet markets. He should also check Wuhan virus labs. And cull fruit bats in Australia. Many Australian towns and parks are infected by millions of messy, noisy fruit bats that can carry three viruses dangerous to animals and humans – Hendra-virus (flu etc), Lyssa-virus (like rabies) and Nipah-virus (encephalitis). These bats wear Green “Protected Species” badges, but unprotected humans are exposed to their noise, smell, droppings, virus dangers and damage to trees and orchards. Do we want the next world plague to be called “The Oz-Bat Epidemic?

Sheltering in Place After a Tornado Destroys Your Shelter By Charles Taylor

Storms have wrecked homes a plenty here in the American south, but I am ok, and my extensive black rifle semi-auto firearms collection (all legal here in Florida) are fine to, thanks for asking:
  https://weather.com/storms/tornado/news/2020-04-13-tornadoes-storms-impacts-south-carolina-georgia-mississippi-arkansas

“At least 33 people were killed as a tornado outbreak slashed across the South on Sunday and Monday, destroying hundreds of homes and businesses and leaving numerous towns with widespread, severe damage. There were more than 60 reports of tornadoes as the storms that began on Easter Sunday tore a deadly and destructive path from Texas and Arkansas, across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia and into the Carolinas and Tennessee. More than 1 million homes and businesses lost power as a result of the outbreak, according to poweroutage.us. On Monday, outages were the most significant in North and South Carolina, where nearly half a million customers had no electricity Monday morning, but every state from Texas to the mid-Atlantic was affected. High winds were responsible for outages in many areas not affected by tornadoes.”

One Animal or a Super-Organism? By Brian Simpson

When the system finally goes totally mad and starts prosecuting non-humans for violating social distancing (e.g. bees), will this creature discussed below get one fine, or many? These are the sorts of questions I contemplate here in social isolation, while slowly going mad:
  https://www.livescience.com/longest-animal-ever-underwater-australia.html

“Underwater explorers found a 150-foot-long (45 meters) siphonophore — a translucent, stringy creature that, like coral, is made up of smaller critters — living in a submarine canyon off the coast of Australia. It's "seemingly the largest animal ever discovered," they said. Every individual siphonophore is made up of many little "zooids," which each live lives that are more similar to animals we're used to talking about, albeit always connected to the larger colony. Zooids are born asexually, and each one performs a function for the siphonophore's larger body, according to a research article published in the journal Developmental Dynamics in 2005. Linked together in long chains, the colonies were already known to reach lengths of up to 130 feet (40 m) according to the Monterey Bay Aquarium — though each siphonophore is only about as thick as a broomstick. The new, record-setting siphonophore was one of several discoveries made by a team aboard the research vessel.

The Death of Pentti Linkola By Brian Simpson

The Right-wing environmentalist Pentti Linkola of Finland died on April 54, 2020. He expounded many things which we as a conservative Christian movement would disagree with, but what is interesting is that like his US counterpart, the late Garrett Hardin, he was strongly anti-immigration and anti-globalism. Unlike our Greenies, or most of them, he practiced what he preached, and worked tirelessly to save local forests which cannot be all bad, as this gives home to cuddly creatures, like grizzly bears, and nice doggies like European timber wolves. What is interesting about him is that he escaped the intellectual death sentence usually delivered to those who say what he said. Maybe even quoting things he said would be illegal here in Australia; I don’t know. In any case, the sheer guts and daring of the man probably made him the national treasure to otherwise pelvically politically correct Finland.  In Australia, a similar thinker would simply be destroyed by our thug class of self-righteous new class chatterers.
  https://www.counter-currents.com/2020/04/remembering-pentti-linkola/#more-118512

“It is not very difficult to understand why the Dissident Right appreciated Linkola. He criticized modernization, humanism, and globalism in a way that was charming even in its most extreme and provocative forms. Like many luminous figures of all eras, Linkola was a son of an impoverished upper-class family, and his hatred towards the vulgarity of the modern age stemmed from his family background. He was no politician and had no mass movement behind him, so he was immune to all forms of political correctness. Unlike most other thinkers of the Green Movement, he always recognized the ecologically and culturally disastrous effects of mass immigration. He said to the author Eero Alén: ”Helsinki has become a Negro city. Everywhere you go, you see Negroes. That kind of Helsinki is no true Helsinki for me.” Linkola did not consider the nation a value as such, but his thinking did have some nationalist elements. In his book Unelmat paremmasta maailmasta (Dreams of a Better World, 1971) he wrote:

5 G and Pandemics By “Brain” Simpson

Here I am with a tin foil hat on reading that there really is a hypothesised connection between the coronavirus and 5 G, but not in a simplistic way:
  https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2020/04/12/why-is-the-world-more-vulnerable-to-a-global-pandemic.aspx?cid_source=dnl&cid_medium=email&cid_content=art1HL&cid=20200412Z1&et_cid=DM508252&et_rid=849348878

“The infection appears to be more aggressive than influenza in older individuals, and the illness lasts longer than the regular flu. So, there’s enhanced virulence to this virus for some reason we yet do not understand. While unproven, one current theory is that EMF radiation — and the addition of 5G in particular — could be having an impact.

Ozone to the Rescue? By Brian Simpson

Hey, how good would it be if ozone, a chemical hated by the Greenies, turns out to be a game changer in this pandemic business?
  https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2020/04/05/ozone-therapy.aspx?cid_source=dnl&cid_medium=email&cid_content=art1ReadMore&cid=20200405Z1&et_cid=DM501439&et_rid=844482775

•    “One of the most important factors in healing is oxygen. Ozone helps improve oxygen delivery in your body by causing more oxygen to be released by hemoglobin and improving red blood cell flexibility, allowing the red blood cells to travel through small capillaries better
•    Ozone also improves ATP production, increases key antioxidants and nitric oxide, which improves blood circulation, and modulates the immune system, increasing certain cytokines that reduce inflammation and decreasing certain cytokines that increase inflammation
•    Even though ozone dissipates quickly, it creates a whole host of downstream metabolites — messenger molecules — that may kill pathogens and upregulate your immune system, and they last for days
•    Ozone therapy can be done at home and include rectal, vaginal and ear insufflation, along with drinking ozone water; ozone saunas can be done too
•    The coronavirus is a lipid-coated virus, and if you disrupt that lipid coat, you reduce or eliminate its infectivity. Ozone attacks lipids, and viruses cannot repair that damage. Thus, ozone may effectively destroy the virus.”

Climate Change and the Coronavirus By James Reed

Is there a link between the climate change agenda, and the coronavirus pandemic social controls? Here below an article gives one hint, with the globalist World Economic Forum claiming that there will be a flow-on effect from the social control measures that the public will be trained to put up with, translating into climate change action:
  https://www.technocracy.news/wef-confirms-link-between-pandemic-and-climate-change-agenda/

“While we are reeling in the shock of what is happening around us and coming to terms with our new reality, we could seize this moment as a unique window of opportunity to re-build our society and economy as we want it. With scientists warning we have 10 years left to avoid the worst consequences of climate change, this could offer an opportunity to fix the climate crisis before it's too late. A number of shifts brought on by the COVID-19 emergency lay the groundwork for the transformation required. Here are five actions we should take. We have known about the risk of a global pandemic for years: just see Bill Gates declare during a 2015 Ted Talk that “If anything kills over 10 million people in the next few decades, it is most likely to be a highly infectious virus… We should be concerned. But in fact we can build a really good response system.” Yet it took an unfolding disaster to prompt governments, businesses and individuals to act at the scale required. Climate change similarly poses a major threat to human lives and urgently requires a comprehensive response. A study published in the medical journal the Lancet predicts 500,000 adult deaths caused by climate change by 2050. If the pandemic teaches us to acknowledge our vulnerability to high-impact shocks such as pandemics and climate-related disasters, we will be infinitely better placed to prepare for them.

Climate Change and the Evolution of Birds By James Reed

Here is yet another reason why I believe that climate change, even if it was occurring, is nothing to worry about; it is helping birds evolve in intelligence, and that just has to be a good thing, because from my experience, given the way birds poop on everything and everybody, they sorely need more birdy IQ points:
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-8192321/Birds-adopting-extraordinary-behaviours-survive-impact-climate-change.html

“Climate change is forcing birds to find new and 'extraordinary' ways to survive including using bread to bait fish and dropping mussels on rocks to break the shell. Researchers from McGill University, Montreal studied data on more than 8,600 bird species to look at changes in their feeding and hunting techniques over time. They found that the changing climate has caused some notable alterations including evidence of birds using boats and even trains as a hunting platform. Birds have also been seen opening packets of sugar on cafe terraces in their bid to counter the loss of habitat from global warming and human urban development. First author, Dr Simon Ducatez, an evolutionary biologist, said species that learn tricks to cope with challenging circumstances are less vulnerable to extinction. 'We long suspected this relationship between innovation and survival must exist, but now we have been able to verify it quantitatively. 'We have also been able to verify the greater the number of innovations described for a species, the greater the probability its populations are stable or increasing.' Ducatez and his team analysed data on over 8,600 bird species - including more than 3,800 novel feeding techniques spanning nearly 60 years. The observations from bird watchers in the UK show significant changes in the behaviour of some of the more successful bird species. One strand of observations revealed that 'great egrets have been seen using a piece of bread or insects as fishing bait,' Ducatez said. 'This is a fascinating behaviour also occasionally observed in other herons and some gulls,' the expert in biology discovered from studying the observations. It is believed they got the idea by watching anglers do similar things by chucking bread into the water, or using maggots or worms on their their hooks to tempt fish. 'A peregrine falcon even used a train to attack birds as they were flushed by its passage through the forest,' said Ducatez. 'Another was observed using fishing vessels as platform for hunting petrels at sea, a food source otherwise unavailable.' The peregrine falcon is the world's fastest animal, capable of dive bombing at more than 200mph. Dr Ducatez said: 'Great cormorants have been watched timing their fishing strategy with the movement of commercial ferries at a wharf. 'They use the strong currents generated by the propellers to catch confused fish.' All these examples were captured around Britain, but the phenomenon of altered avian activity stretches to every country.”

From the Coronavirus Back to the Climate Agenda By James Reed

Yes, the new class are at it 24/7. You would have thought that the coronavirus freak-out would have scattered them, especially the climate change mob, but not a chance:
  https://www.technocracy.news/climate-alarmists-use-coronavirus-to-push-climate-change-agenda/

“Several climate alarmists, including celebrities, members of the media, and politicians, are using the deadly coronavirus pandemic to further their climate change agenda. A report by Steven Milloy released by the Heartland Institute on Tuesday, titled Never Waste A Crisis: Climate Alarmism Surfs Coronavirus, highlighted how certain activists are using the crisis to advance their agenda. Included in the report were 60 tweets from a “wide variety of climate alarmists” who have used the crisis to further their climate agenda. Milloy strategically ranked the tweets, giving certain honors to the “top ten,” which included comments from CBS News, Sky News’s Ed Conway, Democratic Socialists of America, Greta Thunberg, and Socialist Party USA. Ranked first in the report was a tweet from CBS Los Angeles, which claimed the coronavirus led to “lower levels of pollution around the world.” The outlet also reported that some have been “seeing dolphins” due to better clarity. “Here we are amid an actual and grave health and economic crisis… and all climate communists can think about is how to exploit global suffering to push their twisted climate hoax,” Milloy said in a statement. The report went on to include Ed Conway’s remarks on the coronavirus as it relates to climate change and concluded that Conway determined that the “coronavirus will kill climate skeptics.” Democracy for America was also highlighted in the report for its tweet promoting the Green New Deal, saying the United States can certainly afford the socialist-backed deal if it can afford a $2 trillion stimulus package for the American people. Similar to Democracy for America, the far-left Democratic Socialists of America was ranked fourth in the report for a tweet the group shared that promoted the Green New Deal amid the coronavirus pandemic. “The coronavirus pandemic makes what we’ve already known clear: we need a Green New Deal to stop climate change, provide desperately needed jobs, and halt future mass pandemics,” the group wrote on March 18.

Do You Want Super Powers Too? The New Biophysics and the Quantum Rabbit Hole By Brian Simpson

I have been given a photocopy of chapter 3 of a new book, Regenerate: Unlocking Your Bodies Radical Resilience through the New Biology, by Sayer Ji:
  https://www.amazon.com/Regenerate-Biological-Reverse-Chronic-Disease-ebook/dp/B07Q5QFJ1L

“Modern medicine and human health are at a critical crossroads, and the truth is that you and not your genes are in the driver's seat. You are the one who gets to make informed decisions on how you use and nourish the evolutionary miracle that is your body. Combining analysis of cutting-edge scientific findings with our deepest ancestral wisdom and health-promoting practices, Sayer Ji, founder of GreenMedInfo, offers a time-tested program to help prevent and manage the most common health afflictions of our day-cancer, heart disease, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic syndrome. Antiquated thinking and scientific dogma have long obstructed our understanding of our innate untapped potential for self-regeneration and radical healing. But the New Biology explains why biological time is not a downward spiral and how chronic illness is not inevitable when you implement nature's resiliency tools.

Bioweapon or Not, that is the Question By Brian Simpson

An important counter to the idea made by Natural News.com. and accepted by our James Reed, is that the coronavirus is a bioweapon. Those holding that line usually go the next step and see the present pandemic as a sample of what is to come, as biological weapons are used in World War III. Here is a summary of the debate:
  https://thebulletin.org/2020/03/experts-know-the-new-coronavirus-is-not-a-bioweapon-they-disagree-on-whether-it-could-have-leaked-from-a-research-lab/

“Experts seem to agree it wasn’t the product of human engineering. Much research has been focused on the hypothesis that bats passed a virus to some intermediate host—perhaps pangolins, scaly ant-eating mammals—which subsequently passed it to humans. But the pangolin theory has not been conclusively proven. Some experts wonder whether a virus under study at a lab could have been accidentally released, something that’s happened in the past. Among the latest entrants to the debate about the provenance of SARS-CoV-2 are the authors of a March 17 Nature Medicine piece that takes a look at the virus’s characteristics—including the sites on the virus that allow it to bind to human cells. They looked at whether the virus was engineered by humans and present what appears to be convincing evidence it was not. They also considered the possibility that the outbreak could have resulted from an inadvertent lab release of a virus under study but concluded “we do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible.”

More on 5 G and the Coronavirus: Burning Towers By Brian Simpson

It was not an April Fool’s joke: there is a countercultural belief that 5 G technology has caused the coronavirus pandemic. While it is true that there is an on-going debate about the effects of 5 G on human health, there is no evidence that 5 G has the same effects as seen by the coronavirus, although, if 5 G does impact upon human health, this will be one further factor lowering human immunity and health, this having an indirect impact.     Anyway, some people are going over the top on this, literally burning down towers.

“Conspiracy nuts are reportedly setting phone masts alight and targeting engineers after a bizarre claim 5G "radiation" caused the deadly coronavirus spread. The theory originated last month after a video filmed at a US health conference claimed Africa was not as affected by the disease because it is "not a 5G region". The myth was quickly debunked after the World Health Organisation confirmed there were thousands of Covid-19 cases in Africa. The government has also confirmed there is "no evidence to suggest that 5G has anything to do with Covid-19". Celebs have been slammed for sharing the conspiracy theory, including Jason Gardiner and Callum Best, who posted similar claims that 5G can impact the immune system. But the claims have still been doing the rounds on WhatsApp via a lengthy voice note - with phone masts now being set alight in the UK. Engineers are now also being targeted with social media users encouraging each other to destroy the masts in a Stop 5G Facebook group.
