Hey, Want to Know Why Our Students are So Behind at School? By James Reed

The answer my friend is political correctness, that flows through the modern Australian schools like a giant floodwater, which is discussed in general by Dr Bolton in Revolution from Above:

“English students face being drilled in the politics of class, race, gender and sexuality, as an influential teacher advocacy group seeks to push social justice issues into the classroom.

Letter to The Editor - Unrealism about these matters will help no one.

to THE AGE
We live in one of the wealthiest, freest and happiest nations in the world, and yet Rob McCasker (31/10) views our political order as ‘a system that continues to fail Indigenous Australians and all Australians.’  He provides no evidence at all to support his claim that the Government’s rejection of the ‘voice’ in Parliament was ‘driven by cheap and nasty politics.’ His speculation is almost certainly groundless.
Those who wish to benefit the descendants of our first peoples should admit that it has now become apparent that any kind of constitutional recognition carries unacceptable dangers to the stability and security of the nation. No matter how it is phrased, no referendum will succeed. Unrealism about these matters will help no one.

Letter to The Editor - We want no Catalonian division here

to THE AUSTRALIAN
Mark Leibler claims (‘Voice of the people spurned’, 31/10) that the Government’s decision to reject the proposed indigenous ‘voice’ in Parliament has deprived Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders of ‘a form of recognition that might make a difference to their lives.’ How? What difference? What change that cannot be made by avoiding risky tampering with the Constitution? It’s too vague!
So what if ‘more than 1000 First Nations people’ participated in the Uluru process? That is a miniscule number out of the whole body of the nation. It is not even clear to what extent those attendees truly represented the opinions of other indigenous Australians. Nor is it certain that the ‘voice’ would not have become a de facto ‘third chamber’ of Parliament, one that might receive greater powers under some future ALP government.
The Government’s decision has protected the integrity of the nation. We want no Catalonian division here.

The Inane Chant of the Antifa By Peter West

If the Left were truly sincere about their opposition to “racism,” you would expect to see colour-blind behaviour, and strict adherence to universalist morality. Instead, we see the antifa, the street version of the Left, simply advocating White displacement, which by the UN definition is genocide, hence White genocide:

The interesting thing is, that under sharia law, most of these people will not be singing the song they now sing, or maybe any song at all:

Science is White Male and Therefore Racist! By Brian Simpson

The Trolley Problem By Chris Knight

There is a “problem” in academic ethics called the  “trolley problem,” which involves your choice of saving an innocent child tied to the railway track by the villain, by diverting the train and killing a fat man, tied to another track. The problem can be changed to cause difficulties for whatever course of action one takes.

Recently this problem received debate in Alt Right circles, over the abortion issue: would you save say, 10,000 frozen embryos over the life of one child?

Global Demographics and White Survival By Dr Peter J. White

American Renaissance, a journal which presumably defends White interests, even though its core writer Jared Taylor  champions the East Asian IQ superiority theory “they are just so much smarter than us,” Taylor has said, in so many words. I would be cautious about following too closely someone who has embraced a position open to controversy and challenge, even within mainstream psychology, let alone once one begins conceptually deconstructing IQ, as I have done in many articles at this site, which you can follow via our search engine. As far as I am aware, Taylor has never done this sort of fundamental investigation of the IQ issue, but simply quotes some cherry-picked standard papers.

I will comment here on his article dealing with the demographic threats that Whites face:

Australia Should have had Nuclear weapons Back in 1946 By James Reed

Fabian socialists in the Labor Party began the dismantling of the White Australia Policy in 1946, with a massive non-British immigration programme, under the guise of populate or perish. Even though nuclear weapons existed, and Australia cooperated with the British in the development of their nuclear weapons, Australia opted for migrants.

Even back then, no doubt the elites knew that this would lead to Australia ultimately becoming Asian, but as good globalists, they just did what their masters told them. From what I can ascertain, opposition to this program was minimal because freedom movement types were too concerned about the communist threat, even though Dr Sutton had shown that it too was part of the plan. Consequently, Australia slid down the road to Asia, and who knows what else.

The Uselessness of Academic Research By James Reed

“Spend the years of learning squandering
Courage for the years of wandering
Through a world politely turning
From the loutishness of learning.”
Samuel Beckett, “Gnome” in Dublin Magazine Vol. 9 (1934), p. 8

More on my “close the universities” theme. If academic research was achieving anything at all, even if most of it is false:
http://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.0020124
then, at an absolute minimum, the articles should be read by the peer community.

“Zero Emissions” will Test the Convictions of Canberrans by Viv Forbes

Canberra with its “zero emissions” target yearns to be Australia’s greenest address.
Good. Let’s use them as a full-blown test of “zero emissions” before we all jump over that cliff.

Canberra passes thousands of laws for us. If their zero emissions dream is fair dinkum, they need to pass just three laws for themselves.

Letter to The Editor - the Copernican revolution demanded a change in cosmological understanding

to THE AUSTRALIAN
Tony Abbott sees a main cause of ‘our civilisational self-doubt and the collapse of cultural self-confidence’ as being a ‘decline in belief’ (‘New conservative activists may be key to defending our fragile rights’, 2/11). Yes and no. If he means a loss of conviction in the reality of the transcendental, he is right. However, if he means a failure of belief in ‘orthodox’ theology, he is wrong.
The Western world has reached a turning point from which there can be no going back. ‘Belief’ that Christianity is the only way to salvation, buttressed by false claims about the authority of ‘the Church’ or the authority of the Bible, must be revised, just as the Copernican revolution demanded a change in cosmological understanding.

Letter to The Editor - Adequate recognition can be achieved without any tampering with the Constitution

to THE AUSTRALIAN
How amazing to learn that a law professor was able to persuade some netball parents in five minutes that the indigenous ‘voice’ to Parliament should be supported (‘Pollies, not people, the real obstacle’, 3/11)! How could the rest of us not see that it’s all so simple? It’s odd, however, that nowhere in Rosalind Dixon’s statement can we find a single reasoned argument justifying the proposed change.
By contrast, Simon Breheny (‘Decision on “indigenous voice” a big win for liberal democracy’) gives us at least six such arguments to justify the Government’s decision. The most important of these is that any ‘advisory’ voice does not need to be constitutionally enshrined. Adequate recognition can be achieved without any tampering with the Constitution.

Sunday Book Club By James Reed

In preparation for the end of the world, or more likely, the end of my world, I am cleaning up my books, and finding a home for them. Some will wind up sent to Uncle Len, who will use them for burning in his shed, in an old 44 gallon  oil drum. For warmth and light in winter, and maybe to keep the mossies at bay in summer.  Some, I imagine, he will tear up, and put on the dirty cement floor, to keep his tootsies toasty in winter. I am pleased that great literature always finds a natural home.

So, what first to briefly note and throw out? Here is my copy of Alain de Benoist, Beyond Human Rights, (Arktos, London, 2011). De Benoist is a leading French New Right theorist, who likes being photographed with his cat. Me, I hate cats, being highly allergic to their fur which always seems to get everywhere, just like human rights.

Black Death, Returns, Via Air By Brian Simpson

This news item disturbed even me. It is one thing to contemplate economic doomsday, which always leaves the hope of rebuilding. But, a biological doomsday is different, especially if it is microbiologically caused. It hits you from within where you can’t defend yourself.

The Black Death, which once devastated the European population, may be making a comeback, in a mutated form, which is airborne, that is spread by coughing etc. from person to person, and not just by fleas:

Letter to The Editor - couched in terms that will gain very wide approval

to THE AGE
It is to be hoped that the Government’s proposed ‘parliamentary committee process’ to examine other models for constitutional recognition will adopt a sensible approach that is in line with the thinking and wishes of the great majority of Australians (‘Door open for treaties for Indigenous groups’, 28/10). That will certainly mean the complete rejection of any kind of alteration to the Constitution and of any proposal for a treaty or treaties.
We do not want our nation divided and its stability and security jeopardized by inequitable measures based on sentimentality and foolish idealism. Thus, any process towards further reconciliation must be free of ideological prejudice and couched in terms that will gain very wide approval.

Letter to The Editor - badly damaged any claims he has had to statesmanship

to THE AUSTRALIAN
It is regrettable that Noel Pearson has not learned anything from the Government’s decision on constitutional recognition (‘Prime Minister’s rejection is a kick in the guts for Aboriginal Australians’, 28-29/10). Instead he has resorted to a mixture of emotional special pleading and discourteous attacks on the Prime Minister and Tony Abbott.
It does not help when he engages in excessive claims (‘Turnbull has broken the hearts of all Australians of goodwill.’) and misleading attributions (implying that Greg Craven, Anne Twomey, Julian Leeser and Damien Freeman are ‘true conservatives’, while ignoring the real conservatives on this issue such as Keith Windschuttle, Frank Salter, Greg Sheridan, Andrew Bolt and Gary Johns).
Pearson has badly damaged any claims he has had to statesmanship.

Senator Gichuhi Socks it to the Same Sex Marriagers By Mrs Vera West

The papers have been celebrating the appointment of Senator Lucy Gichuhi, Australia’s first African-born senator. She held second spot on the Family First ticket, and received only 152 direct votes, but by the magic of our political system, when it was found that the election of Bob Day was invalid, she entered parliament, joining the Australian Conservative Party, as Family First no longer existed:
