     James, I take hope in the work of Dr Christine Jones whom we heard speak very recently here at Inverell on plants (weeds included) and their role in creating health in our soil. Weeds only thrive in the vaccuum you spoke of, they fill a void, but eventually create in the soil the conditions for the "good seed" to germinate, grow and eventually take the place of the weed.
