     This paper looks at the moral question of the use of foetal tissue form elective abortions, where otherwise the tissue would have been discarded. Such situations always gets the utilitarians going; does this not result in a benefit/utility to society, because of the benefits of vaccines? Why waste it? I must admit, not being a quick thinking intellectual (if only we had them!), I would probably have been stumped if an opponent hit me with that reply in a public debate. So, what is the objection?

     No doubt, many people who have had weak fathers, or no fathers at all, have latched onto the Jordan Peterson steam train. And, it is not all bad, because it is better to have a 6 out of 10 role model than none at all. But, as always, there are complexities.      I actually tried this for a few days, and got chronic constipation, so bad I felt like I was full of gravel! My doctor got me on fibre supplements, and litres of pure water, to clear the plumbing. So, after this I thought that I would read the target article a bit closer. There were some amazing things there:

     Over a glass of “turps” I was contemplating why intellectuals are socialists. The wisdom of the drink aided me to conclude that there is probably no singular reason, but rather a multitude of reasons ranging from being uniformed/ignorant useful idiots, to being at the low level of the global conspiracy. Those at these  upper levels usually work for various think tanks, doing things like getting immigration information and producing propaganda to be used by the globalists in the media. They write the books and textbooks that educate the next generation; we don’t.

     Common though to all of these critters, is a sense of hatred and resentment, a rejection of the society and its traditions that gave them everything. Their education is used to destroy the society that produced them, and perverse as it is, they are not put on trial for treason, but given the highest rewards, while those foolish enough to oppose them, are rendered unemployed. Unfortunately, our side of politics, being fundamentally intellectually challenged, do not understand social dynamics and the role that ideas play in propagating ideology, so, there is ultimately little challenge to the status quo of ideas because there is no cultivation of intellectuals by our side. This is because  our side is too cash-strapped and too mean. Compare this to Soros who has the money to spend, and is generous in getting the job done. My guess is that even if our side of politics had the money, we would still have the same problems of getting the job done due to this basic Scroogeness. The price paid by thinkers for supporting us is so great, that few are willing to risk destitution. I don’t blame them. Hence, in the longer term there will be no opposition thinkers and writers to oppose the march of the cultural Marxists, and our battles will all be for nothing.

     Augusto Zimmerman has just published a very solid piece of jurisprudence, Christian Foundations of the Common Law, Volume 2, The United States, (Connor Court Publishing, 2018). It is excellent that in these dark and degenerate times, there are still scholars, and publishers investigating the Christian traditions that gave us the modern world, and the liberties that unfortunately are disappearing by the day. But, unless we have some idea of that the truth is, we will live forever in a world of unending error.

     The book covers a vast array of American historical material, which may not be necessary to summarise for our readership, since the fundamental argument would be accepted by most of us. The textual evidence from the writings of the American founding Fathers, such as Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Adams, indicates that Christian faith motivated these men to do what they did and write what they wrote. A good example to take here is Thomas Jefferson, whom the atheists claim as one of their own. But, Jefferson was not opposed to the belief in God, but only to the establishment of a national church, being committed to individual liberty. It is shown that Jefferson was in fact a Christian, and not an atheist.

     My son was looking on Quora, the geek science site, and saw a “joke’ question about whether a non-sexist rocket could be designed. The writers thought that it was a joke to regard the rocket as a phallic symbol, and played it for laughs. Obviously, these science guys have not been following what feminists have been saying about the gun debate, which is clearly a symbolic castration.
