     On the climate change issue, my position is that climate changes when it wants to. There have been ups and downs throughout geological time, assuming you accept standard science. If the world was created only 4,000 years ago, then it is a different matter. On this question, as a Christian I am just not sure.      Although Chris Knight and Charles Taylor (in Florida) cover the US political scene and its significance for the West, I feel some comment is required on the present controversy over the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court. The latest revelation is that, as alleged by Christine Blasey Ford, as a teenager, young Brett tried to force Ford to have sex, which is now rape. An alleged witness says that this event did not occur. The event allegedly took place four decades ago, and Ford does not remember much about it, apart form the man who may overturn the sacred judgment for abortion on demand, Roe v Wade, did it. But, Ford now wants a full FBI investigation, before testifying. Now that the Democrats face a threat to their sacred cow of abortion on demand, as well as a judge who will interpret the Constitution the way the Founding Fathers intended (originalism), it is necessary to destroy this nomination. There is no plausibility to a rape/sexual assault claim that took place so long ago, and then magically surfaces at the right political moment, by someone who is opposed to Trump.

     The best thing here is to put ford’s claim to the test and sue her for defamation, if she fails the test. She is making the most serious of criminal accusations, against a white male, who seem to be the only one’s today who may be judged for rape. Not only that, but Ford is claiming that she thought that she was going to be raped and  murdered too. At least she did not include Don Trump in her little narrative! If Kavanaugh was a rapist, Ford had a duty to the public to expose him decades ago. It staggers belief to suppose that this convenient piece of dirt surfaces now.
