Testosterone and the Fate of Civilisations By Mrs Vera West

I have mentioned this book before, but have now finished it, looking at the Kindle version, which is much cheaper than paper: Roy Barzilai, The Testosterone Hypothesis: How Hormones Regulate the Life Cycles of Civilizations:
https://www.amazon.com.au/Testosterone-Hypothesis-Hormones-Regulate-Civilization-ebook/dp/B00WT870N6

The book deals with themes dear to my heart, such as that Western Christian civilisation is collapsing all around us, yet little is being done to halt the decline. Sure, there are some dedicated people, but we are talking about the uprising of millions of people.

Global Cooling…Ha, Ha! By James Reed

I have long been a supporter of global cooling and have always encourage people to consume as much as possible and burn fires all day (legally of course) to increase their carbon footprint. None of this trendy global warming nonsense for me.

Now my extreme prejudices may be proven correct, as one of the world’s largest super volcanoes may well be ready to erupt:

The Fall of Fish By Brian Simpson

There has been concerns for a number of years now about the decline, if not crash, of fish populations across the world, with one prediction being the end of ocean fish populations by 2050:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1533125/All-seafood-will-run-out-in-2050-say-scientists.html
https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2014/06/03/the-end-of-fish/?utm_term=.8ee99bf45449

More recent studies indicate that the end of fish date has shifted much closer, with a University of Washington study finding that populations of older fish have dropped by 72 percent on average, and for some species, such as red snapper, by more than 95 percent. Older fish tend to be veteran reproducers, and have more offspring. Natural News was quite alarmed about this and proclaimed that the collapse of fish populations “may lead to the fall of human civilization”:

Sperm, Dying Like Beached Whales on the Polluted Beaches of Modernity By Mrs Vera West

I have written about the issue of the decline of sperm, and of manhood before at this noble site, but now bring an update.

Researchers from the Hadassah-Hebrew University, H. Levine (et al.), “Temporal Trends in Sperm Count: A Systematic Review and Meta-Regression Analysis,” Human Reproduction Update, (2017); doi: 10.1093/humupd/dmx022,  conducted a meta-analysis, a type of statistical synthesis of published studies (more complex: simple linear models, meta-regression models, and sensitivity analyses), and found a 59.3 percent decline in total sperm count among men from North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. There was not found to be a statistically significant decline in sperm count in South America or Africa, but much fewer studies have been conducted there which makes the sample of studies therefore unrepresented in this respect.

Vaccinate, This By Mrs Vera West

Vaccinations have become something of a magic bullet of the age, supposedly giving people Superman-like protection against disease. But, is this magic bullet view correct, or is a more kryptonite position a better fit of reality?
The flu which hit Australia this year, hit harder because the strain mutated after the vaccine had been produced: The Australian, September, 14, 2017, p. 4. There were 155,000 confirmed cases, which is 70 percent more than the entire 2016 flu season. Yet, the concern was made that vaccination rates were still not high enough.
But, wait. If the flu mutated, and hence the vaccine, made for the pre-mutation flu was rendered inadequate, the vaccine rate is besides the point. The fact remains that there is a continuous arms race between bugs and humans, and often the bugs have the upper hand. In this case the mutation was too fast for the vaccine.
It is also interesting to note that research indicates that bacteria can adapt to conditions in outer space, and get stronger and reproduce faster:
http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2017/09/14/study-bacteria-adapts-strengthens-reproduces-faster-in-space/
Although the bacteria decreased in size, they tended to group together in collective patterns for protection. This suggests that space travel could be extra dangerous due to the increased virulence of bacteria. The elite who hope to leave Earth on space ships, to let us all burn down here, may well die of common bacteria infections, if they get their fantasy ships off the ground.

Sterilising the Population By Mrs Vera West

This article: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9E07E2D7153DEF34BC4D51DFB7678382679EDE&legacy=true, straight from The New York Times,  is entitled; “A STERILITY DRUG IN FOOD IS HINTED; Biologist Stresses Need to Curb Population Growth.”

Mike Adams discusses this 1969 article, arguing that an agenda of population regulation is well underway, with vaccines, Big Pharma, etc., etc.: http://collapse.news/2017-09-14-new-york-times-spike-the-food-supply-with-sterilization-chemicals-to-cause-global-infertility-and-depopulation.html
The problem here is that it is highly unlikely that a deliberate conspiracy is at work, beyond the normal conspiracies, such as the great Given: destroy the White race. With the explosion of population numbers in Africa, it is unlikely that there is any globalist plan to eliminate Africans. All the evidence points towards the elimination of the White race. And, no drug in food is even needed. It is easy enough to do things politically, allowing Whites to simply fall on their own swords of political correctness.

Well, Let Them Eat Ice By James Reed

I don’t normally like any of the journalism of Caroline Overington, but she did a great piece, “Exorbitant Energy Bills Can be A Death Sentence If You’re Old and Short of Cash,” The Weekend Australian, September 23-24, 2017, p. 17.

The point made is that rising energy bills, something that will be talked about at the League National Weekend, 14 and 15 October, 2017, threaten the vulnerable who cannot afford sky high energy bills, and many will die. Winter can be harsh, but it is always possible to struggle through using plenty of warm clothes. But, hot summers are a killer, and a real danger. The heat can offer seemingly no escape.

No Safe Financial Haven in the Coming Collapse By James Reed

Mike Adams has been conducting an extensive critique of Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency, generated by a mathematical algorithm, which has taken decentralised money folk by storm. The basic idea is that no central bank can control this cyber-currency, so people have a freedom that normal fiat currency denies them:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptocurrency

I don’t understand how the algorithm actually works, and how “mining’ occurs: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Block_hashing_algorithm
but the one person I know who swears by it, doesn’t either, but has put most of his savings in it. I referred him to the Mike Adams critiques which he savaged, and made him aggressive, but I suspect that Adams would have a come-back. Maybe he is right, and that this really is a cult. Stranger things happen today, by the minute.

The North Korea Super-Volcano, Set to Blow? By Brian Simpson

While many of us are deeply concerned about North Korea, predictably, the ultra-conspiracy wing of things tells us that it is all a conspiracy and that there is nothing to worry about. Thank God for that! This must all be nonsense:
http://www.breitbart.com/california/2017/09/17/u-s-prepares-for-nuke-war-after-north-korea-inchon-anniversary-missile-launch/

But, wait! Now there is talk that North Korean underground nuclear tests, may have awoken a super-volcano: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-09-16/north-koreas-nuclear-tests-could-trigger-supervolcano-eruption:

An Apple A Day, Keeps the Prostate Away. By Brian Simpson

I have a strange sense of déjà vu (/ˌdeɪʒɑː ˈvuː/; French pronunciation: [deʒa vy]) from French, literally “already seen”), when writing this; have I done it before, or did I think that I did it before? Anyway, not to worry, because no one else will.

Most of us men here are at that time of life when the prostate causes problems, even on a good day. To put it politely, it is like having a roof with a box gutter; you know at some point it will leak, and your house will be subjected to water damage. Even your prized comic book collection may get ruined, if things turn really bad. It can bury you, which is like the house collapsing, totally.

Ecosex Nonsense and the Dreadful Decline of Christian Sexual Morality By Mrs Vera West

Apparently there is an “ecosexual” movement, which advocates having “sex with the Earth,” to save it:
http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2017/09/06/uc-santa-cruz-professor-elizabeth-stephens-a-pioneer-in-the-ecosexual-movement-is-encouraging-the-public-to-engage-in-environmentalism-by-having-sex-with-the-earth/
As usual, there is an academic involved, UC Santa Cruz Professor Elizabeth Stephens, a pioneer in the “ecosexual” movement. Here is what another site said:

“We chatted with Annie Sprinkle, Ph.D., and Beth Stephens, Ph.D., performance artists, ecosexual experts, and the authors of ‘The Explorer’s Guide to Planet Orgasm’ to get the scoop on this trend. They describe being ecosexual as this: ‘you don’t look at the Earth as your mother, you look at it as your lover.’ You also experience nature ‘as sensual, erotic, or sexy.’ This could mean anything getting off while writhing around naked in the mud to simply getting joy out of doing it in a hot tub or going on a naked hike.”

Letter to The Editor - Society Under Attack

Dear Reader,
This is interesting and shows you should never give up on your letter writing.
The following was sent to the Shepparton News on the 14th August 2017 and published today (13th September 2017) on the eve of the ‘postal ballot’.

To hear our Representatives trying to justify support for this issue whilst other important issues hurting their constituents are of little moment for them as they bicker and squabble among themselves worse than little children.
It is ‘adversarial politics’  at its worst as they try and confuse voters in their grab for Power. It is a very good reason to place the ‘sitting Member’ last next time you are required to vote.
In the meantime, voting negative in the plebiscite might keep the nasty wolf at bay a little longer.
Now it is up to you!

Letter to The Editor - Would that Really be in the Interests of Society and the Nation?

to THE AUSTRALIAN
Alan Baker has touched on the most essential aspect of the marriage debate (8/9): ‘the importance of children being raised, wherever possible, by their biological mother and father.’ Every Australian who has had the good fortune to be so raised should think carefully about how a ‘yes’ vote might militate against this. It might also facilitate future legal action on the grounds of ‘discrimination’ against anyone expressing this view. Would that really be in the interests of society and the nation?

Letter to The Editor - ALP Will Ignore Any ‘NO’ Victory

to THE AGE
Your editorial (‘The survey’s on, so vote “yes” for justice’, 8/9) fails to consider the other parties whose interests are at stake in this plebiscite. Foremost among them are children. I am so grateful that I was raised in a family with a father and a mother, and I urge all Australians who have enjoyed similar good fortune to ask themselves whether they would really be happy to have been brought up instead by two men or two women?
As for Bill Shorten’s promise that the ALP, if elected to government, will ignore any ‘no’ victory, that suggests a bullying and fanatical attitude and tramples on democratic principle.

Problems in Vaccination Paradise By Mrs Vera West

Which juicy news item do I start with first? Tossing a coin, or a vaccination syringe, first up,  Oxford University scientists trialled a TB vaccine on humans that did not pass an animal test model using monkeys: http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/oxford-university-scientists-trial-tb-vaccine-babies-monkeys-did-not-work-a7928911.html.
Wait, that should read, hundreds of babies:

“The worrying results from a tuberculosis vaccine trial on monkeys before they tested the treatment on hundreds of babies were ignored by scientists at Oxford University, a former principal research fellow at the institution has claimed.

Myxo and Vaccination Miracles By Mrs Vera West

A paper in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, P. Kerr (et al.), “Next Step in the Ongoing Arms Race Between Myxoma Virus and wild Rabbits in Australia is a Novel Disease Phenotype,” July 14, 2017, has raised the issue that pathogens may evolve to cause complete immune collapse of the host, by suppressing their entire immune system. The paper states:

“The possibility that pathogens can become highly immunosuppressive in response to increases in host resistance needs to be considered where genetic and immunologic manipulations are used to enhance host resistance, as, for instance, in agriculture.”

The End of the English Language in Australia By Peter West

One of the neglected aspects of immigration and multiculturalism is the problem of enclaves, the creation of nations within nations, which was raised in the 1980s, but is not heard much nowadays. However, there is an informative article by Bernard Salt about “non-English-speaking clusters” in our capital cities:
http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/inquirer/the-curious-nature-of-nonenglish-speaking-clusters-in-our-cities/news-story/4eaf844601ae657450e40c9c942b4473

“Last year’s census figures confirm our extraordinarily diverse cultural and linguistic composition. About 18 million out of 24 million speak English. About three million were born overseas but are English proficient, including about 1.5 million British and Kiwi immigrants. However, there are 820,000 Australian residents who described their English proficiency as poor and a further 193,000 who are about as proficient in English as I am in Mandarin.
Indeed, the number of residents who say they do not speak English is up from 118,000 a decade ago, which suggests that this cohort is growing by an average of 7000 people a year. If Australia is to remain one of the most welcoming and inclusive immigrant nations on earth then we also need to develop our language skills. And this doesn’t necessarily mean that all migrants must immediately learn English. I think that given the basis of modern Australian prosperity it is entirely appropriate for Mandarin to be taught universally in schools. I learned French in secondary school in the 1970s; today’s kids should be learning the language of our single most important trading partner.
Across the country 16 per cent of the population does not speak English at all or well, but in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide this proportion is closer to 18 per cent. And in parts of each of these cities there are well-defined non-English-speaking enclaves including the northern suburbs of Adelaide centred on Salisbury, the southwestern suburbs of Sydney between Lakemba and Cabramatta, and in Melbourne’s west around Sunshine and southeast around Dandenong. Brisbane’s southside centred on Logan and Sunnybank is also a non-English-speaking hotspot.”

The World of Cancer By Mrs Vera West

A study has confirmed that about 41 percent of cancers are caused by the environment and lifestyles: http://cmajopen.ca/content/5/3/E540.full
But you don’t need to swim through the technicalities of the paper, as there is a neat summary provided by the authors:

Background: Estimates of the proportion of cancer cases that can be attributed to modifiable risk factors are not available for Canada and, more specifically, Alberta. The purpose of this study was to estimate the total proportion of cancer cases in Alberta in 2012 that could be attributed to a set of 24 modifiable lifestyle and environmental risk factors.
