Michael Moore: A Living Symbol of the Leftist Mind By Charles Taylor

Socialist film maker Michael Moore has said that he is looking forward to the day when Whites are a minority in America: https://www.fastcompany.com/40459122/michael-moore-says-trump-is-on-track-to-win-again-in-2020. He seems to think, if that is the word, that when Whites are a minority in America, the Democrats will be eternally in power and will establish a socialist paradise, or something along those lines.

Moore’s position is deluded on many levels, as the better argument is that civil war will occur, and is already occurring. Moore’s worldview does not permit taking in facts, such as the largely unreported war between Blacks and Hispanics in many US suburbs. But, I don’t want to discuss ethno-race issues here.

High Tech Homelessness By Uncle Len, the Low Tech Homeless

As a symbolic representation of the existential homelessness of modern Western man, I am always on the lookout for material to tell you about that affirms my raison d’etre, a word which I found on-line, but don’t know the meaning of, having no meaning or point for my existence.

Anyway, I am getting off topic, which for me is remarkable. But, what was my topic? Think, Len, think. Your fans expect a lot from you, like coherence and all that. Now I remember, I have re-read my title….high tech homelessness. You see the high tech elite at Silicon Valley, which is, I suppose, an entire valley full of silicon, are living in their cars because of the high cost of living. HA! HA, again. Why don’t they just clean up all the silicon and make homes for people? Or, bring in more migrants, who through their economic magic will make even more homes?

The Scottish wind-power racket By John Constable and Matt Ridley

Imagine a sausage factory – the luckiest, most profitable sausage factory in the world. Its machines crank out their sausages, and lorries carry them to supermarkets. So far, so normal.

But this particular factory makes as many sausages as the management and staff choose. If they feel like taking the day off, the lorries and shelves stay empty. If they want to go a bit wild, they sometimes make so many sausages that there aren’t enough lorries to take them away. Or they carry on cranking out sausages even if the shelves are already full.

Letter to The Editor - Lust For Power

to THE AUSTRALIAN
Tony Abbott effectively nails the republican issue on the head (‘Imagine Bill our Head of Fate’, 2/8) by reminding us that the Crown gives us ‘national continuity and a focus of loyalty that’s above politics’. Something enormously valuable that has been bequeathed to Australia by the British people’s 1100 year-old constitutional history will be lost if the republican campaign is successful. Abbott could have added that a constitutional monarchy, based on sacred tradition, is by far the best protection of a people against tyranny, whether that is based on inadequate ideology pushed by ‘green-left’ witchdoctors, lust for power in unbalanced persons or financial greed of cliques of merchants.

CLIMATE CHANGE: Treaties and Policies in the Trump era Alan Moran

Paperback, 165 pages $24.95 ISBN: 978-1-925501-40-7

Alan Moran has been a prominent writer on regulatory matters for thirty years. He was the inaugural head of the Australian governments’ regulatory review office and researched the issues in “think tanks”.

Working outside and within the Victorian Government, he was a major participant in the disaggregation of that state’s monopoly electricity business into a dozen independent parts and in the creation of what later became the National Electricity Market.

Dr Moran has written many books and articles on the interface between climate change, energy and economic well-being. These include editing and contributing to the 2015 best seller, Climate Change: the facts.

Climate Change: treaties and policies in the Trump era, is an examination of:
• The setting of the climate change agenda
• Its position in the international arena where nations have agreed to treaties and agreements that have increasingly placed pressures on governments to take actions in conformance with their provisions
• The developments leading to the 2015 Paris agreement on climate change, which incorporated governments’ “Intended Nationally Determined Contributions” (INDCs) on abatement of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases
• The costs nations are actually and prospectively incurring in meeting their INDCs and in other measures designed to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions
• President Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris agreement and other nations’ responses.

The book foreshadows the collapse of the Paris agreement and gradual, if not abrupt, dismantling of the costly measures it entails – primarily involving forcing consumers to subsidise wind and solar energy.

Laughing All the Way to the Apocalypse By Paul Walker

An insightful article by Miranda Devine, “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Climate Monster,” at http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/rendezview/whos-afraid-of-the-big-bad-climate-monster/news-story/5079c031c43e3de67572402640cc6fc0, makes the point that many have got rich from peddling the idea of a climate catastrophe.

She says that Al Gore is back with a new film and we can expect more hysteria:

Who’s Afraid of Asteroid Strikes? By Brian Simpson

Mike Adam’s sites are featuring an article which quotes astrophysicist Dr Alan Fitzsimons at the Queen University Belfast Astrophysics Research Centre, who says that there is a disturbing probability that an asteroid strike could wipe out the human race.  There are millions of large Near Earth  asteroids, many as big as 10-story buildings out in orbit, capable of impacting with the Earth: http://collapse.news/2017-06-28-astrophysicist-warns-humanity-will-eventually-be-wiped-out-by-an-asteroid-strike-just-a-matter-of-time.html.

In January 2017, asteroid 2017 BX passed by the Earth without any threat of collision.  But, in  November 2016, there was a narrow miss between the Earth and the asteroid 2016 VA, missing the Earth by only 77,00 kilometres, which is not much in cosmological terms, a bee’s whisker. In 2013, another small asteroid exploded over the city of Chelyabinsk in Russia, causing extensive damage. An air-burst asteroid exploded over Tunguska in Russia in Siberia in 1908, exploding with the energy equivalent of 185 Hiroshima bombs. So, it happens.

Letter to The Editor - Tragedy and Hope

to THE AUSTRALIAN
It is good to see Maurice Newman’s invocation of forbidden author W. Cleon Skousen (‘Masks slip to reveal the ugly face of the future’, 21/6) and his 1960’s analysis of the danger of a future communist world presided over by the UNO.  As to that ‘brutal authoritarian face’ behind ‘the seductive mask of socialism’, it must be remembered that Skousen published a sequel to ‘The Naked Communist’ in 1970, entitled ‘The Naked Capitalist’.
This was a detailed analysis of insider Carroll Quigley’s 1300-page book ‘Tragedy and Hope’, which exposed what former communist Dr Bella Dodd called ‘a much bigger conspiracy’ behind the communist conspiracy. Quigley’s book suddenly became almost unobtainable for several years. His thesis makes good sense: there is obviously enormous financial power behind the spread of the ‘cultural Marxism’ that Newman deplores.

It’s Hard to Even Keep Track of Terrorist Attacks Now By Peter West

Another day, another terrorist attack. Although I know that global warming is a myth, it is possible that so many candle-lit vigils will be held, that we may find the poles melting and glaciers, well, turning into slushies!! Of course, I jest: global warming, as Don Trumpeter well knows, is just hot air, as conspiracy to stop the West enjoying the fruits of the good life.

No sooner than I had completed my masterpiece article on the London bombing, sorry, truck and knife attacks, then we have a terrible terror in Melbourne, with an abduction and killing, with the police shooting the terrorist dead: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/05/world/australia/australia-terrorism-isis-hostage-killing.html?_r=0. All of this brought to you from the unfriendly people at ISIS Pty Ltd.

So, We have Only 100 Years Left for Naked Lady Lap Dancing! By Paul Walker

Sorry for mentioning naked ladies in the title, but trust me, it is relevant and not gratuitous sensationalism just to get Google hits. You see Stephen Hawking, who is ok in the IQ department, has said that humanity seriously needs to start looking for a new planet because within 100 years, this one will be pretty much finished, from everything from pollution to nuclear war and the population bomb: http://www.wired.co.uk/article/stephen-hawking-100-years-on-earth-prediction-starmus-festival.

Well, let us suppose that this is so, just for the sake of argument. What is to stop the new planet from being destroyed in record time too? If we can’t save this one, then what likelihood is there of saving the next? And, the one after that? At some point we will reach the limit of space exploration and have to face our own hubris. Why not do it now? In fact, with the slow development of space travel, and the problems of long-term life in space, it is most unlikely that our future will be in the stars:
https://www.wired.com/2016/02/space-is-cold-vast-and-deadly-humans-will-explore-it-anyway/; https://www.businessinsider.com.au/living-in-space-causes-health-problems-2012-7?r=US&IR=T; https://www.wired.com/2012/07/medicine-psychology-space/?pid=4350&viewall=true.
Meanwhile, in his down time Professor Hawking likes to frolic with the naked ladies at a Californian sex club, as far as that is possible for someone with motor neuron disease in a wheelchair: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/stephen-hawking-brief-history-lapdancing-745182.
My guess is that given he has previously said that we had 1,000 years to get off the planet, we should take the latest news with a bag of salt.

Are Men the Real Aggressors in Partner Abuse? By Mrs Vera West

According to the US CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/nisvs/, a national study has shown that, contrary to the ideological claims of feminism, made each day to brainwash students in our schools and universities, more men than women are victims of partner abuse, and over 40 percent of men are victims of severe physical violence. Men are frequently the victims of psychological aggression.

If one examines data about sexual abuse in US prisons, then more men than women are raped in the US: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2449454/More-men-raped-US-women-including-prison-sexual-abuse.html. Looks like men deserve  “liberation” too.  Ask yourself, would a man who stabbed his partner have the usual prison term waived merely because it might damage his career? Not likely. But an Oxford female student stabbed her boyfriend and avoided jail for just this reason: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3605956/oxford-student-lavinia-woodward-spared-prison-sentence-after-stabbing-lover-attacked-him-twice-before-and-lied-about-having-cancer-to-cover-up-coke-habit/.

Kill the Paris Treaty and Rip out its Roots by Viv Forbes (Secretary of the Clexit Coalition)

The Clexit Coalition today called on President Trump to keep his election promise to withdraw from the Paris Climate Treaty and stop US payments to all UN global warming programs.
The Clexit (ClimateExit) Coalition, comprising over 175 representatives from 25 countries, aims to prevent ratification or local enforcement of the UN Paris climate treaty.
See: http://clexit.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/clexit-members.pdf

The Secretary of Clexit, Mr Viv Forbes of Australia, said that all nations will suffer from the destructive energy policies being promoted in the UN’s war on cheap, reliable hydro-carbon fuels and the backbone industries that rely on them – mining and smelting, farming, fishing, forestry, processing and manufacturing.
He was supported by Professor Will Happer, Professor of Physics at Princeton University who said today:

China Doing Crazy Things in Space, Just Because it Wants To. By Brian Simpson

I guess when you have plenty of money you can relax and do crazy things. If you are a nation, longing to overcome the humiliations of the past, as China is seeking to do (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_of_humiliation),  then you attempt things like trying to capture an asteroid and fire it into the moon’s orbit: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/china-considering-mission-capture-asteroid-fire-it-into-moons-orbit-1621217?mkfrom=adsup&read=1. The initial idea is to mine the asteroid for minerals, but just for the heck of it, it would be one-upmanship to put the asteroid in the moon’s orbit too. Trump that, Trump!

Now, given Murphy’s law: http://www.murphys-laws.com/, there are a multitude of problems with this. Imagine a screw-up that leads to the asteroid not orbiting the moon, but deciding in its infinite cosmic wisdom to pay mother earth a visit, ground zero for impact, Beijing. Very dishonourable asteroid. Very desolate planet.

How is the Weather… in Space? by Brian Simpson

A new report from the European Commission, JRC Science for Policy report, Space Weather & Critical Infrastructures: Findings and Outlook: http://publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu/repository/bitstream/JRC104231/space_weather_cover%2Breport_final.pdf, has reported on the threat of space weather events on earth’s critical infrastructure. For our purposes, the report notes that space weather events, like EMP occurrences, can severely damage critical infrastructure, such as the power grid, aviation, navigation systems and communications. There can be cascading effects resulting in larger than expected impacts.

The report recommends that there be a multi-risk approach adopted to deal with this threat, with improvements in forecasting via better methodologies and the determination of the specific vulnerability that a system has to space weather events.
While that is fine, it seems that the human race is moving with glacial slowness on this issue, and if another Carrington event occurs – and Earth had a near miss in 2012 (https://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2014/23jul_superstorm, civilisation itself will be threatened. Up to 90 percent of people will die off rather quickly:  https://www.theguardian.com/science/2014/jul/25/extreme-solar-storm-sun-earth; http://www.naturalnews.com/047399_solar_flare_Dark_Ages_NASA.html.

A Diesel in the Shed by Viv Forbes

You can have your solar panels
             and your turbines on the hills;
You can use the warmth of sunshine
             to reduce your heating bills.

You can dream you’re self-sufficient
             as you weed your vegie bed;
As long as you make sure to keep
             A diesel in the shed.

The Face of the Left by James Reed

I don’t know how I got onto the site, but today I was in horror, reading a Leftist environmentalist blog. I would strongly recommend that readers with a morbid desire for self-punishment have a look at the latest entries at https://carolynbaker.net/. This is a very well presented site, with highly skilled web design. But, the articles an politics, are …well… just consider…

“Useless Eaters And Ethnic Purity; The Trump/Bannon War For Biological Nationhood,” by Chris Floyd, which pushes the idea that Trump is trying to follow a Nazi agenda and create an ethnically pure state. No matter that his daughter is married to a Jewish man, and is in fact a practising  Jew herself. No, Trump wants to cut some social welfare programs (never mind that feminist icon Julia Gillard did more), and his man Stephen Bannon (spelt wrongly in one part of the article), likes French philosopher Charles Maurras, and he was a Nazi sympathiser.

Battery Baloney by Viv Forbes

Every day some green energy promoter or a battery salesman tells us how green energy with battery backup will supply Australia’s future electricity needs.
A battery stores energy. Energy can be stored using lead-acid, nickel/cadmium, lithium, molten salt, pumped hydro, hydrogen, flywheels, compressed air or some other smart gizmo. But NOT ONE battery produces new energy – they simply store and discharge energy produced by other means. They all deliver less energy than they consume. Moreover, to manufacture, charge, use and dispose of batteries consumes energy and resources.

The idea of producing reliable grid power from intermittent green energy backed up by batteries looks possible in green doodle-diagrams, but would be absurdly inefficient and expensive.

Try Energy Freedom by Viv Forbes

We don’t have an electricity supply crisis – we have an energy policy crisis. Vote-seeking politicians with little understanding of markets, engineering or energy have passed costly laws, shuffled a pack of complex regulations, imposed discriminatory taxes and subsidies, set unrealistic targets, interfered in markets, and imposed death-by-delay on real energy explorers and developers.

Australia once had the world’s cheapest and most reliable electricity (before politicians became green socialists and started interfering). Now we have expensive electricity and much of it is unreliable, unpredictable and intermittent.
Let’s try free enterprise in the energy market before we all freeze in the dark.
