China and Human Rights By Bruce Bennett

Reaching number one, on the top of the charts must be great, but with great power comes great responsibility, as Stan Lee once penned as a tag line for Spider-Man. So, what is China up to? Brace yourself:
  https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2019/10/07/concentration-camp-survivors-china-using-forced-sterilization-abortion-for-genocide/

“Women who have survived China’s concentration camps for Muslim ethnic minorities reported widespread rape, forced abortions, forced sterilization, and other extreme sexual human rights atrocities in accounts published this weekend. Speaking to the Washington Post, the women echo the experiences of others who have escaped the estimated thousands of concentration camps built in Xinjiang, China’s largest and westernmost province, to house Uighur, Kazakh, and Kyrgyz ethnic people. While survivors tend to be Kazakh – they can use their dual citizenship to escape to neighboring Kazakhstan – the majority of the 1 to 3 million people trapped in the camps are believed to be Uighurs. Others who have survived have been able to use their marital status to citizens of Pakistan or other neighboring countries to place pressure on Beijing to release them. The nations themselves have not made any official statements condemning the Communist Party’s attempt to eradicate ethnic minorities in Xinjiang – sometimes actively praising it – but have quietly helped individuals with the influence to get their attention. Camp survivors have previously testified to extreme torture, killings, live organ harvesting, infanticide, and slavery in the camps. An Associated Press (AP) report published last year revealed that some clothes made in slave facilities in the concentration camps made its way to America.

Go ahead, make My Day by Impeaching Trump, Taking All Guns and Opening Up the Camps for Conservatives! By Charles Taylor

In the movie Avengers: Endgame (2019), the main villain Thanos has obtained the power to do virtually everything. He has this power by having magic stones that control all aspects of reality. In the previous movie, because he was a population controller, he eliminated half the universe (why just half?), but the Avengers time travelled and reversed this, just like the election of Donald Trump. In this movie he time travels too, and attempts now to totally destroy the universe and remake it, atom by atom, just as the Democrats want to do to traditional America, because so long as any one traditionalist remains, they will resist. The Democrats are like Thanos, seeking to destroy the US, and the West, also down to the last atom. The impeachment of Trump will be the turning point:
  https://www.zerohedge.com/health/snyder-if-donald-trump-impeached-all-hell-will-break-loose-america

  http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/if-donald-trump-is-impeached-that-will-be-a-sign-that-all-hell-is-about-to-break-loose-in-america

“Most Americans don’t realize it yet, but in just a few weeks we will witness one of the most critical moments in American history.  Right now the Democrats in the House of Representatives are drafting articles of impeachment, and it is expected that there will be a vote by the end of this year.  If President Trump is impeached by the House, that will set off a chain of events that nobody is going to be able to control, and if the U.S. Senate ultimately decides to remove Trump from office, all hell will break loose in America.  There are tens of millions of very loyal Trump supporters in this country, and many of them are extremely passionate.  Simply impeaching Trump would represent a “breaking point” for many of them, and if Trump is actually removed from office by a Republican-controlled Senate it is inevitable that we would see a very frightening explosion of righteous anger, and at that point there wouldn’t be much of anything that could be done to calm them down.  A large percentage of the population would instantly lose all the faith they ever had in our political system, and unfortunately there would be widespread civil unrest in the streets.

Soros to Rule the World in 2020 By Charles Taylor (Florida)

George Soros, the globalist who never sleeps, working 24/7, relentless pushing on to victory, in 2020 he believes:
  https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/soros-predicts-globalist-victory-2020

“Progressive billionaire George Soros believes that the global surge in nationalism - from Brexit to Trump - is an aberration, and that globalism will make a resurgence after the 2020 US election. In a recent interview with the New York Times (in which he also endorsed Elizabeth Warren), the 89-year-old investor opined last week in a collection of essays called "In Defense of Open Society" that his brand of globalism - which he defines as an integrated, open society which abides by the law (which is easy to do when allied lawmakers are making them) - is out of favor. Instead, Trump's "America First" approach, debates over Brexit and trade wars have taken precedent. Looking out a window with expansive views of Central Park, Mr. Soros spoke about China, Mr. Trump and who he thinks will face off against the president in next year’s election. Notably, Mr. Soros is convinced that the arc of history may soon turn back his way, that Mr. Trump’s election and Brexit were the nadir of anti-globalism and that a backlash to that nationalism is coming. “Trump is still doing a tremendous amount of damage,” he said, lifting himself up a bit in his desk chair. “I mean, just the last week what he has done in the Middle East has been devastating for America’s influence in the world,” he said, referring to the withdrawal of American troops from Syria. -New York Times

The Great Divorce: Secession, Everywhere By Chris Knight

The idea of secession, breaking up the nation state into separate ethno-states, or divisions based upon culture and politics, has until now been regarded as a fringe idea. But now, this idea that the nation state is not working has been discussed in mainstream publications such as The New York Magazine:
  http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2018/11/maybe-its-time-for-america-to-split-up.html

“Let’s just admit that this arranged marriage isn’t really working anymore, is it? The partisan dynamic in Washington may have changed, but our dysfunctional, codependent relationship is still the same. The midterm results have shown that Democrats have become even more a party of cities and upscale suburbs whose votes are inefficiently packed into dense geographies, Republicans one of exurbs and rural areas overrepresented in the Senate. The new Congress will be more ideologically divided than any before it, according to a scoring system developed by Stanford political scientist Adam Bonica: the Republicans more conservative, the Democrats more liberal. Come January, we are likely to find that we’ve simply shifted to another gear of a perpetual deadlock unlikely to satisfy either side. For the past eight years, there has been no movement toward goals with broad bipartisan support: to fund new infrastructure projects, or for basic gun-control measures like background checks or limits on bump stocks. Divided party control of Capitol Hill will make other advances even less likely. For the near future, the boldest policy proposals are likely to be rollbacks: Democrats angling to revert to a pre-Trump tax code, Republicans to repeal Obama’s health-care law. By December 7, Congress will have to pass spending bills to avoid a government shutdown. Next March looms another deadline to raise the debt ceiling.

Professor Chang Unleashes on China By James Reed

Professor Gordon Chang, who is obviously Chinese, has some stern things to say about the US-China trade war, relevant to us in little old Oz too. China, he says lies, chats and steals, so trader beware:
  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/15045/trade-china-cheating

  •     “[I]t is especially difficult to trade with a thief, especially when the thief views commercial contact as an opportunity to steal more.... This crime is essential to the achievement of the extraordinarily ambitious Made in China 2025 initiative [to dominate 11 crucial technology sectors].
  •     By his silence, Liu allowed Trump to think he had a deal when, in reality, he did not. So Trump made a real concession — the tariff deferral — for a promise that was not a promise.
  •     [T]he "engagement" of China is Washington's "greatest foreign policy failure." – Arthur Waldron, University of Pennsylvania.
  •     If all this were not bad enough, Xi's future plans are especially pernicious... Americans are going to have to make a choice: take Chinese money or maintain a free marketplace of ideas. The disengagement of the two economies is, of course, unfortunate, but it is necessary as China presses Americans and leaves them no choice if they are to defend freedoms and sovereignty.
  •     On October 11th, Beijing harvested another big benefit. Trump agreed to defer a tariff increase scheduled for the following Tuesday. Having gotten what it wanted, China then began to play hardball. On October 17, Beijing denied it had made a commitment to buy $40 billion to $50 billion of American farm products.
  •     Judging from Beijing's breaking one more trade arrangement in recent days, it is evident the communist regime in China is not able to work with the United States — or any other country for that matter. So let's not trade with a China that lies, cheats, and steals.

Good for the US if it can still maintain its freedom. But alas, Australia does not have the political will or strength to resist China, and anyway, our elites decided long ago, with the end of the white Australia policy that Australia would defect from the West and become a colony of Asia. And, that is what we are.

Farewell France, Thanks for the Frog Legs! By Richard Miller

Instead of reporting about the collapse of Sweden, a change of scenery, and this time it is France heading for the rubbish tip, but we all knew that, didn’t we?
  https://www.jihadwatch.org/2019/10/france-within-five-years-the-situation-could-become-irreversible

“French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner’s recent revelation, discussed in the last hour, that “60 attacks have been foiled since 2013 and every week people are arrested,” recalled some statements of his predecessor Gérard Collomb, who is now mayor of Lyon, and who knows as much as anyone about France’s internal security situation. Collomb gave an interview in February 2018 which was only published in November of that year. Here is an excerpt: In your heart of hearts, how do you judge the security situation in France? Collomb: It’s very worrying. What I read every morning in notes from the police reflects a very pessimistic situation. The relations between people are very hard, people don’t want to live together… To what extent is immigration responsible for this? Collomb: Enormously so. It’s for that reason that, with Emmanuel Macron, we wanted to change the law… Your law only attacks illegal immigration. Legal immigration allows more than 200,000 people into the country each year… Collomb: It’s true. We’re doing it bit by bit. But that remains a problem… You think there is no more need for immigration in France? Collomb: “Yes, absolutely. You were speaking of vivre ensemble [living together] just now. What is happening? Collomb: Communities in France are engaging in conflict with one another more and more and it’s becoming very violent… What are you afraid of? Partition? Secession? Collomb: Yes, I’m thinking about that, that’s what worries me. How much time do we have before it’s too late? Collomb: I don’t want to create fear, but I think there’s very little time left. How much? Collomb: It’s difficult to estimate, but I would say that within five years the situation could become irreversible. Yes, we have five, six years to avoid the worst. Afterwards…”

Nervous Asia By James Reed

I am nervous of China. I am so nervous about “china” that I only use plastic plates and cups, being nervous about the china one’s! But, the rest of Asia is nervous abut China too, so my neurotic behaviour could have survival value:
  https://www.todayonline.com/chinaindia/china/china-aims-world-class-army-asia-starts-worry

“Chinese President Xi Jinping's pledge to build a "world-class army" by 2050 is making his neighbours nervous, but analysts say Beijing's military ambitions do not constitute a strategic threat — for now. With purchases and construction of fighter jets, ships and hi-tech weaponry, China's military budget has grown steadily for 30 years, but remains three times smaller than that of the United States. Now, Beijing wants to catch up. "We should strive to fully transform the people's armed forces into a world-class military by the mid-21st century," Mr Xi told 2,300 delegates of the Chinese Communist Party, which he heads and which controls the army. The comments, made during the party's twice-a-decade congress, were aimed in part at domestic nationalists, but also intended to show other countries "China's desire to be strong economically as well as militarily," said Mr James Char, a military analyst at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University. During China's so-called Century of Humiliation, starting around the mid-19th century, the country lost almost every war it fought, and was often forced to give major concessions in subsequent treaties.

Letter to The Editor - Persistence in an unjust cause will hinder reconciliation

To The Australian         You are right that Aboriginal constitutional recognition "barely registers with voters" ("A voice to government for all indigenous Australians", 30/10). There is something for you to learn from that. Yes, it is true that The Australian has "consistently supported such recognition", but it has been consistently wrong in doing so. The term "indigenous" and the pseudo-definition of Aboriginality that was brought in by the first Whitlam government both fudge the issue. Most so-called Aboriginals are part-Aboriginals only and it is by no means ethically clear why they should be, two centuries after settlement, especially privileged over other Australians, huge numbers of whom were born here and have no other citizenship. Ken Wyatt says he wants his people "to be heard". As though they aren't being already, and with excessive media and government megaphones provided at no cost to them but plenty to the rest of us. Persistence in an unjust cause will hinder reconciliation or (a better term) mutual understanding, not help it.

Letter to The Editor - Why should our taxes fund another unjustly constituted body?

To The Age        Ken Wyatt states that Australians "need to ensure Indigenous voices are heard" ("New design to give voice to unheard Australians", 30/10). Such voices have been being heard for many decades, with huge support from both the media and governments. Policies being espoused by the current federal government amount to an unjustified over-privileging of that small minority of Australians that happen to have some Aboriginal ancestry. The term "Closing the Gap" is misleading. Scientific evidence suggests that that such closure cannot and will not happen; thus the term can be used, politically, as a never-ending cry for more and more wealth and power for some Australians at the expense of the great majority of others. Why should our taxes fund another unjustly constituted body? Why should those calling themselves "indigenous" not set up their own representative bodies at their own expense? That, surely, would be a fairer way to go. Or they could interact with Parliament on the same footing as the rest of us.

The Minister for Wasting Water, DAVID LITTLEPROUD, must resign By Ron Pike

The Saltbush Club today called for the immediate resignation of Mr. David Littleproud from his position as Minister for Water on the grounds of incompetence in his management of the Murray-Darling Basin Authority. The call was made by Mr Ron Pike, the Saltbush Club Water Adviser with a lifetime of experience and information on Murray Darling Basin water supply, storage and use. “Under Mr. Littleproud’s stewardship this Authority has grown to be a law unto itself and is repeatedly lying to both the people and the Government. As an example; ‘we had to drain Menindee Lakes, or the water would have been lost to evaporation.’ “We now have the wicked and unjust situation where this out of control Authority is denying available water to desperate end users by claiming that they are compelled by law to release this fresh water to the sea, while farmers and Municipalities are left without water.

“In a worsening drought no one in their right mind would condone wasting fresh water to the sea, while denying the people the water they desperately need. But Mr. Littleproud is. “This is not only unjust it is a crime against the people perpetrated by a Federal Minister. “Given that Mr. Littleproud has several advisors, he should have been aware that the MDBA were fabricating stories, just as they now are about releases from Wyangala Dam. “Not only are the actions of the MDBA leaving the Government with little credibility they are exposing the Government to billions of dollars in compensation for lost businesses, especially the death of permanent plantings; something that has never happened since we built the dams on our western rivers. “David Littleproud is responsible for a Government Authority that is denying the people their most basic of rights; that is access to water.  Mr. Littleproud has broken his oath of office “To well and truly serve the people of Australia.” “David Littleproud you have broken that vow and the people no longer trust you. You must resign now”.

What a Generous Lad, Vlad is By James Reed

Despite however much I praise Vlad the lad Putin, I still have not been elected prime minter, I mean minister of Australia via Russian hacking. What is wrong with these guys? Queen Hillary assured me that the Russians are hacking everything to pieces and that I would be in line for a special toady position, such as Donny Trump allegedly got. All that even after intense study of Robert Sears, Vladimir Putin: Life Coach (2018):
  https://www.bookdepository.com/Vladimir-Putin-Life-Coach-Robert-Sears/9781786894694?redirected=true&selectCurrency=AUD&w=AF45AU968GDJD7A80TRQ&pdg=aud-530325474908:cmp-966708429:adg-48044257813:crv-356196816192:pos-none:dev-c&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIj5uZypm05QIVkrGWCh2vFwQHEAEYASACEgL3-vD_BwE

“What can the rise and reign of this century's most feared politician teach us about life, work and love? Rob Sears shows how the machinations that enabled Putin to dominate the Kremlin and undermine the United States of America could also help you take control of your mundane life. How would you like to ruin your enemies by sharing compromising material about that time they didn't wash their hands? Or annex territory by claiming the stationery cupboard at work as your personal empire? Fancy hacking democracy at the parent-teacher association to ensure you're a shoo-in for social secretary? Or serving up a cold dish called revenge in a high street restaurant? Filled with stories from Putin's extraordinary time in power, and ideas and illustrations to help you emulate him on a small scale, Vladimir Putin: Life Coach is the ultimate guide to releasing the pseudo-elected, judo black belt, 5D chess-playing autocrat inside each and every one of us.”

Letter to The Editor - Avoid further corruption of British legal tradition

To The Australian         The two voices to whom the British people should most of all be listening as they prepare for the coming elections are both those of dead men: George Orwell and Alexander Solzhenitsyn. They showed in their great novels with terrible clarity what life becomes like in modern, post-industrial states if political freedom is lost. In order for a genuine Brexit to happen and such freedom to be regained for the UK, there needs to be an unequivocal alliance in the next five weeks between the Conservative Party and the Brexit Party. Then, after a genuine Brexit has been achieved, the new British government needs to bring to an end the life of the Tony Blair created Supreme Court and avoid further corruption of British legal tradition. It is astonishing that these matters are not at the forefront of public debate at this stage.

That’s a Terribly Racist Thing to Notice! By Bruce Bennett

I did not notice this at all until reading the below article, now I really do notice it, all the time, in fact. Does that make me a racist? Sure, deplorables like me are racist by definition, even 1,000 years after extinction. Where do I get help, Clockwork Orange style for this? Pretty please!
  https://loudwire.com/james-kottak-scorpions-interracial-couples-commercials/?utm_source=tsmclip&utm_medium=referralk

“Some people truly have no filter on social media. James Kottak of Kingdom Come and formerly of the Scorpions has gone off in a tweet about the amount of interracial couples in commercials, insinuating that it "is not reality." "You know I am sick of every other commercial having interracial couples...this is not reality. It is Hollywood shoving it down our throat. I don’t have one friend or friends who live in this category...just saying," Kottak said in a tweet, followed by a bunch of animal and American flag emojis. The drummer has gone off on several other controversial tangents in the past on Twitter as well, especially regarding climate change — "For those of us who lived through it, we were told an ice age was coming in 1978/79. Who froze? I am all about ‘reduce reuse recycle repurpose’ the rest is political b.s...same now . I recycle every piece of paper, containers, and have done since I was 9 years old...I encourage." Kottak was the drummer for the German group Scorpions from 1996 until he was let go in 2016 due to his reluctance to get sober. Two years prior, he was sentenced to jail in Dubai for drunkenness, derogatory comments toward Islam and public exposure.”

Letter to The Editor - Farage may well be right, too, that Boris Johnson's deal with the UK is "just not Brexit"

To The Age        A feature of Western European culture since World War Two has been the ongoing demonisation of the so-called "extreme right" or "hard right" in popular and mainstream public forums. Is it possible that this will lead in the UK to a failure to achieve Brexit because the Conservative Party will not form an alliance with Nigel Farage's Brexit Party? Common sense suggests that, with the UK's electoral system of first-past-the-post voting, such an agreement should be forged. Farage may well be right, too, that Boris Johnson's deal with the UK is "just not Brexit" ("Fast-forward to the election", 31/10). Does it really promise a full return of sovereignty and the clear protection of free speech by a traditional legal system?

Early Civil War Rumblings By Charles Taylor

An update from the US trenches:
  https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-50166557

“The head of Major League Baseball has said the organisation is investigating a tweet from an umpire that threatened civil war if US President Donald Trump was impeached. Rob Drake's now-deleted tweet said he planned to buy an AR-15 rifle. It comes amid an impeachment inquiry in the US House of Representatives. Mr Drake, 50, has not commented and has deactivated his Twitter account. He has been a full-time major-league umpire since 2010. In the tweet, Mr Drake said he planned to buy an assault rifle "because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL (sic) WAR!!! #MAGA2020", according to a copy seen by ESPN. It reportedly followed another tweet that read: "You can't do an impeachment inquiry from the basement of Capital (sic) Hill without even a vote! What is going on in this country?" Major League Baseball (MLB) Commissioner Rob Manfred told reporters before a World Series game on Wednesday that the tweet would be looked into. The president of the Major League Baseball Umpires' Association has declined to comment.”

2020 USA Democrats Will Give Open Borders By Chris Knight

Like it or lump it, Australia’s survival in an increasingly threatening region, dominated by China, depends upon the US continuing to exist, and not collapsing. But, as Ann Coulter has said in one of her most hard-hitting interviews, most of the leading Democrat presidential candidates are falling over themselves to embrace increasingly absurd forms of globalisation and open borders, in some respects more extreme than George Soros:
  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/10/27/ann-coulter-oligarchs-going-deliver-country-like-venezuela/

“The nation’s oligarchs will “deliver a country” to American citizens “like Venezuela” through 2020 Democrats such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) because of their need for “more and more cheap labor,” columnist Ann Coulter says. In an interview with Lars Larson, Coulter said America’s giant middle class will continue to be eroded should the billionaire class get their way on immigration where the ultimate goal is hemispheric open borders. “We used to have … the hallmark of America was an enormous, enormous middle class. I mean, something like 80 to 90 percent of Americans describes themselves as middle class,” Coulter said. “You might be upper or lower within that, but there were not enormous gaps.” I mean, there is a problem with the oligarchs in this country and they’re the ones bringing in the cheap labor and they’re the ones — not all of them but a lot of them — who don’t care about the country per se,” Coulter continued. “They just want more and more cheap labor. And they are going to deliver a country to us like Venezuela through people like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.” As Breitbart News has noted, despite Warren’s populist rhetoric — where she has called out multinational corporations for having no loyalty to American workers — her campaign to win the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination has endorsed one of the most open borders platforms of all the candidates. Warren’s immigration plan includes decriminalizing illegal immigration and providing amnesty to all 11 million to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. — policies that will force America’s working class to compete for scarce blue-collar and middle-income jobs against the world’s migrants. Likewise, Warren has championed the donor class and Chamber of Commerce’s effort to increase legal immigration to the U.S. and thus driving up foreign competition against middle class and college-educated Americans. Current immigration levels are already helping to hand electoral dominance to Democrats nationwide, research by the New York Times, Axios, and the Atlantic has noted. The U.S. is set to bring at least 15 million new foreign-born voters to the country in the next decade. These voters’ swing towards Democrats has been realized in the 2016 presidential election, where despite winning almost 50 percent of native-born Americans, Trump lost foreign-born voters to Hillary Clinton by 64 percent.”

Letter to The Editor - Incorporation into the EU threatens the British with the loss of all of these benefits and the effective end of their national story

To The Australian         Greg Sheridan states truly that if Brexit is defeated "the very idea of Britain will be humiliated" ("British poll is truly an election for the ages, a hinge of history", 2-3/11). It is worth asking what that idea is. A triumphalist answer in 2019 that ignores the many failings of the British in their long history will not do. More modestly, it is possible to find an answer in the institution of the English monarchy and the pledges made by the Sovereign at the time of coronation. In simple terms British tradition honours the sacred and recognises its primacy in the affairs of state. Secondly, it upholds an idea of service and an ideal of chivalry drawn from Christian teaching. Thirdly, it recognises the dignity of the person and the crucial importance of political freedom in the life of the nation. Fourthly, it possesses a magnificent legal tradition that, properly wielded, offers the people protections from power-mongers and selfish elites. Incorporation into the EU threatens the British with the loss of all of these benefits and the effective end of their national story.

Letter to The Editor - In a long history that begins with the wisdom of Prince Alfred and the signing of Magna Carta

To The Age        Yes, the British people have indeed reached a turning point ("Brexit election puts UK at historic crossroads", 2/11). However, it is nonsense to suggest that there is any danger of the UK "turning the English Channel into a new Berlin Wall." It is rather a question of whether, collectively, the British people have the insight and the nerve to avoid being further imprisoned within an EU that is busy, as the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights show, in erecting new walls to keep out traditional freedoms that have been rightly cherished by Britons in a long history that begins with the wisdom of Prince Alfred and the signing of Magna Carta. And remember, an entirely independent UK after a successful and genuine Brexit can still participate in European culture and trade with the peoples of Europe.

Millennials Love Socialism! (Lot’s of Free Stuff) By Paul Walker

This is a problem; while we older folk remember the evils of communism, the young people at university are getting flooded with bs from socialists, which equates Marxism with politically correct causes that the average young person has been programmed to accept as part of the laws of nature, as if multiculturalism was ground into the furniture of the universe. Along with that, a generation almost as narcissistic as we disgusting boomers, likes a lot of free stuff.
  https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/467684-70-percent-of-millennials-say-theyd-vote-for-a-socialist-poll

“Seventy percent of millennials in a new poll say that they are somewhat or extremely like to vote for a socialist candidate. The YouGov–Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation poll released on Monday also found that 50 percent of millennials, defined as between the ages of 23 and 38, and 51 percent of Generation Z, or those ages 16 to 22, have a somewhat or very unfavorable view of capitalism, an increase of 8 and 6 percentage points, respectively, from last year. Only 44 percent of Generation X, 33 percent of baby boomers and 33 percent of the silent generation said they were somewhat or extremely likely to vote for a socialist candidate. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), a Democratic White House hopeful, is a self-identified democratic socialist who advocates for left-wing policies like the Green New Deal, "Medicare for All" and increased tax rates on wealthier Americans. Another front-runner in the 2020 race, progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), said that it would be “wrong” to label her a socialist. Overall, Americans are more hesitant about voting for a “democratic socialist” than they were in 2018, according to the new survey.

What? Everybody, Including Migrants Love Pauline Hanson! By Bruce Bennett

I was just a kid back in the late 1990s when Pauline Hanson got One Nation going. All I remember feeling at the time, is that my high school teachers hated her, so that immediately made her cool with me. Then there were the riots and all the rampaging by insane pinkos which was pretty exciting at the time for a teenager. This was the first time the Lefties got a big serve back, and I wish that they could get another one too. And now, years later, even migrants, God bless ‘em are starting to rethink things:
  https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-10-27/the-labor-migrants-voting-for-pauline-hanson-one-nation/11634408

“Vic Meli's parents left war-torn Malta for a better life in Australia when he was just a toddler. But growing up in suburban Sydney as a migrant child in the 1950s was challenging. "Australia was very racist, the polite ones called us new Australians - the others just called us wogs," he said. Mr Meli is now among a growing number of migrants voting for One Nation. ABC analysis of voting trends and Census data has revealed last election, Pauline Hanson's One Nation and Clive Palmer's United Australia Party (UAP) polled strongly in electorates with the highest percentage of migrants in Australia, despite campaigning against further immigration. When asked why a migrant was voting for a party that has been outspoken against some immigrants, Mr Meli said he was protective of his country. "Migrants are not migrants after they come here, they are new Australians," he said. "And if they waited a long time in a queue and went through lots of steps — how do you think they feel about a so-called queue-jumper? "They don't like it."
