Chicago Anarcho-Tyranny By Charles Taylor

Chicago is a taste of the world that is rapidly approaching us.
  https://www.foxnews.com/us/widespread-looting-reported-in-chicago-after-police-involved-shooting

“Videos circulating online show widespread looting and clashes with police across Chicago’s Magnificent Mile shopping district early Monday, sparked by an officer-involved shooting hours earlier that left a 20-year-old man wounded. Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown said as of Monday morning, responding units have arrested more than 100 people so far on charges ranging from disorderly conduct to battery against police. He added that 13 officers were hurt in the unrest, including a sergeant struck in the face with a bottle and an officer who had his nose broken while scuffling with a group of looters. “This was not an organized protest. Rather, this was an incident of pure criminality," Brown told reporters. "This was an act of violence against our police officers and against our city.” Brown also said a security guard and a civilian are now in critical condition at a local hospital after being hit with gunfire during the looting overnight, and he said that five guns in total have been recovered. “I, for one, refuse to allow these cowardly acts to hold our city hostage," Brown said. "CPD will not stand by as our beautiful downtown becomes some place that people fear.” Brown says he has now ordered detectives to comb over high-definition footage of suspects and vehicles from the looting scenes, suggesting that more arrests are coming.”

A Philosopher Faces Death By James Reed

We will all face death, some sooner than others, even George Soros, unless they get the AI uploading of elite consciousness into machines going, but who knows? Anyway, this is interesting, about a philosopher who adopted the old argument that death is not something to worry about, because when you are dead, you are not, the sort of bs that philosophers churn out. Sure, but dying is a problem as he finds out. This is especially so if there is Heaven and Hell. Heaven is no problem, but worry should be directed to the possibility of Hell, something religion today is careful to avoid. My guess is that Hell, among its many evils, will be terribly hot, and massively overcrowded, much like the Hell that mass migration produces in the West now.

Mask Mania By Brian Simpson

Senile Joe Biden wants to make it a law that people wear masks, all the time, everywhere, every night and every day, maybe even in the shower, perhaps shaving. That is crazy, even coming from crazy Joe, but others are pushing the agenda further, as incredible as that is:
  https://www.naturalnews.com/2020-08-16-nashville-councilwoman-charge-murder-refuse-mask.html

“A member of the Metropolitan Council of Nashville and Davidson County has suggested that residents who refuse to wear a mask should be charged with murder or attempted murder if they transmit the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) to other people. Councilwoman Sharon Hurt, an at-large member of the council, made the suggestion on August 5 during a meeting with the committees for Public Safety, Beer and Regulated Beverages and Health, Hospital and Social Services, the latter of which she is also the chairman. During this meeting, Hurt said: “My question goes back to legislation. I don’t know if Mike Jameson could be the one to answer the question, but my concern is – you know I work for an organization, that if they [transmit HIV to another person], they are tried for murder or attempted murder, if they [did not tell the person about their condition] … and this person who may very well pass this virus that’s out in the air because they’re not wearing a mask is basically doing the same thing to someone who contracts it and dies from it.” “It seems to me that we have been more reactive, as opposed to proactive, and a little too late, too little. So, my thing is, maybe there should be legislation, stronger legislation … to say that if you do not wear a mask and you subject exposure of this virus to someone else then there will be some stronger penalty as it is in other viruses that are exposed.” The person she is referring to during her statement, Mike Jameson, is a former councilman, the current director of legislative affairs for the mayor’s office and a special adviser to the mayor. Jameson responded by telling Hurt that the city council does not have the authority to do what she is proposing.”

Oh, the System Will Not Allow the Rich to be Eaten! By Chris Knight

Given the antifa home invasions, it is interesting to observe that the system is not going to let the socialists, at least at first, eat the rich. Maybe after a regime change there will be the conventional slaughter.

“Law enforcement officials had to respond to a large group of Black Lives Matters activists late on Friday night that stormed a Beverly Hills residential neighborhood chanting “Eat the rich!” and “Abolish capitalism now!”
The Beverly Hills Police Department tweeted: “The unlawful assembly in the area of Rexford Dr & Carmelita Ave has ended with arrests being made. Protesters have now left the City.” Videos and photographs of the mob flooded social media as they shouted various messages throughout the residential neighborhood and tore down American flags. Human Events Managing Editor Ian Miles Cheong compiled video highlights from the demonstrators on his Twitter account, noting that the group marched through residential neighborhoods in Beverly Hills shouting “Eat the rich1” and “Abolish capitalism now!” (posts below). “The Black Lives Matter mob shut down Santa Monica Boulevard, Rodeo Drive, and intersections around the city center,” wrote Cheong. At one point the group “seized a privately owned American flag in a residential suburb, shredding it and pulling it down.” In the residential areas, video shows, the group played “loud music and blocked the streets.” “The police showed up in full force to arrest members of the Black Lives Matter mob making a nuisance of themselves across residential Los Angeles streets,” Cheong captions one post with video of police arresting members of the group. “One pretended to be injured by the police and forced them to drag him.”

Will the US Invade Melbourne? By James Reed

The idea of a US invasion of Melbourne is intriguing. Done under Trump, it would be interesting. Done under Biden, no, Kamala, whatever, it would be frightening. Anyway, it is shame that Americans are seeing us a cesspool, which is something considering what America today looks like. Things are sure descending to the bottom of the wheelie bin quickly. President Trump, please don’t bomb my house, as Vlad Putin promises to nuke my flat, and I don’t want to be the cause of you guys getting a divorce.
  https://www.naturalnews.com/2020-08-14-should-the-us-invade-melbourne-australia.html
  https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/tyranny/should-the-us-invade-melbourne-australia-to-restore-human-rights-like-iraq/

“How will the markets handle what lies ahead is very interesting. Historically capital will always flee from tyranny. The markets may appear to be disconnected, but they are clearly beginning to weight the changing tide of freedom which is so essential to how and why we invest our capital. Governments have violated the very core authority they have been granted by the people. The treatment of choking this girl simply because she does not have a mask is by no means a free society that respects human rights. What is really interesting is the justification to invade Iraq or Syria was that their governments were abusing their own people and violating human rights. These are just the first six articles of the Declaration of Human Rights that countries now routinely violate claiming they are protecting them. What countries have restored to under the pretence of protecting the public is to strip everyone of all human rights. This has gone way too far and, in many cases, as seen here, the Police have crossed the line and become the tyrannical enemies of the people. This is the very essence of what sets in motion a revolution that is not bloodless. How will the markets respond and they will distinctly provide us clues as to their intended path of flight. Australia has clearly adopted a very aggressive authoritarian posture against its people. This is reflected in the currency for it has declined sharply for the past 9 years since the high of 2011. The A$ needs to close back above 7800 at year-end to raise hope of a bounce. A closing below 7000 at year-end will point to political unrest and a decline into 2021 at the least. The A$ should rise with commodities into 2024, but the failure to do so would warn of political unrest which will not end well for Australia.”

Please Do Not Read Shocking Racist Article that President Harris will Ban By Charles Taylor

Shocking modes of thought like the one reported here will mercifully come to an end, when Kamala Harris takes the presidency in November. No,  super-senile Joe Biden is only a proxy candidate, as the media elites are now gloating over. Thus, say goodbye to thought like this. In fact, the crime statistics used in the following article will just disappear, which will be like the crime itself disappeared, unless you are being raped and murdered. Then it will not matter, as the police will be defunded and cannot help, so  you just die.
  https://www.takimag.com/article/crime-roaring-twenties/
  https://www.takimag.com/article/the-waning-luxury-of-being-color-blind/

“Why do blacks get hassled by the police so much? The Occam’s Razor explanation is the one you are never supposed to mention in public: because on average African-Americans commit so disproportionately many crimes, especially murders. I will therefore summarize some important crime statistics from federal government documents. The most striking fact is that blacks, who have typically made up about one-eighth of the population, have comprised the majority of the country’s homicide offenders over the past four decades. The FBI states that among 2018 murderers: When the race of the offender was known, 54.9 percent were Black or African American…. That’s up slightly from the average during the past decade. I calculate from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting publications that blacks made up 53.3 percent of murder and nonnegligent manslaughter offenders over the decade 2009–2018. The FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting system is based on police-department submissions from around the country. It is by no means perfect, but police departments at least have to take murders fairly seriously, unlike many other crimes. The decades before weren’t all that different either: In 2011, the Obama administration’s Bureau of Justice Statistics released a report stating that blacks were 52.5 percent of homicide offenders during the 29 years from 1980 to 2008. And a government study from 1967 says that nonwhites (over 90 percent of them black back then) made up 10.5 percent of the population in 1950 but 55.5 percent of the murder victims (not offenders, but most murders are intraracial). By 1960, nonwhites were 11.4 percent of Americans, but now represented only 52.9 of deaths by violence, reflecting the moderate progress blacks made during the 1950s. The homicide rate for the white population leveled off at 2 or 3 deaths per 100,000 population after 1950. The rate for nonwhite persons continued declining through 1961; in 1950 it stood at 28 deaths per 100,000—11 times the average among white persons. By 1961, the rate had fallen to 21, which was still eight times the rate of the white population. In the last 3 years, 1962 through 1964, the rate for nonwhite persons increased again. Sadly, that uptick represented the quiet beginning of the huge increase in black murder rates that followed the triumphs of the civil rights movement.

The Future is Here Now By Charles Taylor

Is it all over now? Then expect the great die off, because we all became racially obese and diabetic from this age of consumer affluence? One is not safe in the green leafy outer suburbs, because they are coming to get you too:
  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/08/12/portland-residents-worry-as-protests-spread-to-residential-neighborhoods/

“The streets of downtown Portland were quieter on Tuesday as nightly protests approach 80 consecutive nights of unrest but that is not because protesters are giving up. Instead, they are heading into residential areas, and people who live there are worried. “The main action has shifted from downtown to residential neighborhoods on the east side of the Willamette River, bringing crowds of demonstrators and a heavy police force onto usually quiet nighttime streets,” the Oregonian newspaper’s online portal Oregon Live reported. “People who live and work in areas where protests have taken place are not happy.” Riots were declared over the weekend and new concerns surfaced as protesters change locations, Oregon Live reported: In downtown Kenton, protesters used wooden items, including picnic tables and road barrier signs, to build a barricade across Denver near Schofield Street. The standoff between police and demonstrators continued past midnight. On Reddit and Facebook, people who live in the area expressed anger about property destruction. “Lots of people worked hard to make our little neighborhood pleasant and to help the local businesses stay open,” wrote Redditor WheeblesWobble in a post called “Leave Kenton Alone!” “Now it’s trashed,” the user wrote. “This was not a BLM protest, this was a tantrum by a bunch of entitled kids.” The person who made the post noted that a black-owned business was damaged when a dumpster was set on fire. “What a dumpster has to do with Black Lives Matter, I don’t know,” James Bradley, the head chef at Po’Shines said in the Oregon Live report. “If people want to protest, find your hands busy doing something for the people that you’re protesting for,” Bradley, who is black, said. “There’s a blueprint, and the blueprint is called the civil rights movement.” Bradley called what happened in the Kenton neighborhood “tomfoolery.” Billy Burch lives near the police union building, which has been targeted in riots, with his family. “The violence and fires have definitely disturbed my family,” he said.“Having to close all of the windows so that tear gas doesn’t get in isn’t fun as we don’t have air conditioning.” “Burch also said he didn’t think the current incarnation of protests supported the message of the Black Lives Matter movement,” Oregon Live reported. “And he associates the ongoing demonstrations with a rise in violence in other parts of town.” But protesters said in a virtual event held Sunday and included in the Oregon Live report that protesters plan to stay on city streets, including Demetria Hester, a Black Lives Matter activist who was arrested later that same day.”

Lock-ups and Shake-downs By Viv Forbes

Politicians have given Australia an impossible task - fight a Covid Lock-up while also enduring a Green Energy Shake-down.

A Covid Depression is already locked in. Recovery dictates that we must reverse the lockdown and also rid our weakened economy of the Green parasites forever sucking our energy.

Australia seems to specialize in political stupidity.

Victoria’s Scorched Earth policy has wrecked its economy. Despite this damage, they dream of replacing their nation-building brown coal electricity with unreliable wind and solar toys. Their once-free people cower in their homes while police and troops detain peaceful folk and demand papers. Covid will only decline when populations develop immunity. Lock-ups ensure that community immunity develops slowly.

South Australia has destroyed its manufacturing industry with uncompetitive employment rules and intermittent green energy. They dream of more Big Batteries to keep the lights on.

WA is protected from many Eastern fads and viruses by the mighty Nullarbor Plain. It quietly thanks its hard-working mining industry for funding both state and federal governments.

NT has made anti-fracking for hydro-carbons into an election issue while endorsing bizarre plans to waste billions erecting about 150 square km of solar panels to supply electricity to Singapore. This needs 720 km of land transmission feeding a 3,700 km undersea extension cord from Darwin, crossing the deep and unstable Java Trench, to Singapore Island. And for the times that NT is not sunny, it needs humungous battery storage.

Queensland has shut its borders to millions of customers and workers from interstate and overseas while discouraging new mines and reliable power supplies.

NSW is determined to kill coal and gas power with locked gates and bureaucratic obstructions.

Canberra plans to throw billions that it does not have at the Snowy 2 white elephant (a net consumer of both water and electricity) while endorsing industry-killing emissions targets.

The federal government is also undermining the federation with a centralizing “National Cabinet” and has taught a generation of youngsters that they can eat and party without working by getting onto the federal jobs replacement gravy train. Meanwhile orchardists, farmers and abattoirs cannot find workers.

Trusting people are mesmerised and traumatized by the Covid scare. Ballooning government debts and looming depression will haunt our children and destroy our savings. Naturally, alcoholism, gambling, family violence and mental problems are increasing.

Meanwhile, a smug cohort of people on government salaries, handouts and safe pensions feels no pain. This includes politicians, the bureaucracy, academia and the Scare-a-dayBC.

Civil War 2.0 is Underway By Charles Taylor

America today is more divided than back in the days of Civil War 1.0. That is not a good sign, because the real driving force of civil wars is this division that ultimately becomes kinetic:
  https://www.jihadwatch.org/2020/08/america-was-less-divided-during-the-civil-war-than-it-is-today?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=the_2020_08_13_jihad_watch_daily_digest&utm_term=2020-08-13
  https://pjmedia.com/columns/robert-spencer/2020/08/10/america-was-less-divided-during-the-civil-war-than-it-is-today-n771502
  https://www.zerohedge.com/political/who-stands-benefit-group-behind-occupy-wall-street-plans-50-day-white-house-siege

“There is growing worry these days about whether or not we are headed for another civil war, and whether the divisions in American society are as bad as they were in the run-up to what is still the bloodiest war in American history. In fact, there is no comparison between the divisions between Americans today and in the run-up to the Civil War. The ones today are far worse. That doesn’t necessarily mean that we are headed for a shooting war, but we certainly may be. No less an authority than Abraham Lincoln noted the similarity of the two sides in his second inaugural address, even as he pointed out the one thing that sharply distinguished them: “Both read the same Bible, and pray to the same God; and each invokes His aid against the other. It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God’s assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men’s faces; but let us judge not that we be not judged.” That was truly a civil war, a war between countrymen. But today, the two sides of America’s great divide do not read the same Bible or pray to the same God. In fact, Leftists are increasingly open about considering American Christians to be among their foremost enemies. If American Leftists were to create their own Constitution, it would not resemble the American Constitution, and judging from the behavior of Democratic governors and mayors during the coronavirus crisis, it would not likely protect the freedom of religion or the freedom of speech. A flag of Leftist America is more likely to feature a hammer and sickle than stars and stripes.”

Raping Germany By Richard Miller

“The numbers are shocking: Between March and early July 2020 alone, the Berlin police registered 210 cases of “community or particularly degrading rape”. In almost half of the cases, the criminal investigation are of foreign suspects…. …many comparable serious cases of sexual assault in the federal capital only appear as a case note in the lists of law enforcement officers. Between March and early July 2020 alone, the Berlin police registered 210 cases of “gang or particularly degrading rape”. That means: in Berlin on average, almost two women are victims of serious sexual violence every day. The victims included 50 minors up to 16 years of age, including 16 children. In almost half of the cases, the criminal investigation was of foreign suspects. This emerges from a report by the Berlin Senate Administration to the at-large FDP MP Marcel Luthe. The percentage is far higher than the proportion of foreigners in the Spree region, which Statista put at 19.2 percent last year. The Berlin liberal Luthe warns apprehensively to VIP News: “The far disproportionate proportion of foreign suspects shows that the causes must urgently be clarified and discussed transparently. And then effective crime prevention must be practiced.” Those who find their personal, ideological agenda more important than combating these acts “set the wrong political priority, ”says Luthe. All in all, significantly fewer criminal offenses are recorded, “but no less brutal sexual offenses. This should give a reason to think.”

Authorities have a Difficult Job Enough Now Fighting Black Death 2.0 By Edward Kelly

Shocking law breakers are coming out in Victoria, without masks, in defiance of the lock down masks-at-all-times law, which is needed to prevent the spread of a pandemic deadlier than the Black Death of old. In fact, it is a blacker death, and only by locking people in their homes, has noble governments, at the direction of loving humanitarian medical technocrats, saved the world from an oblivion worse that an asteroid attack. Death rates would be off the charts without the brave measures adopted by our courageous health care technocrats. Respect them, if not worship them. At the very least, watch them dance on YouTubular.

Thus, it is quite justified for police to grab a woman by the neck, or grab anyone, by any body part, even grab turkeys, the most notorious spreaders of disease, no, that is chickens, but all birds are bad for species jumping bugs. Anyway, this form of strangulation is necessary for arrest procedures, and can be accompanied by the American practice of putting the full body weight on the neck if required, until said neck develops a George Floyd brake. If people resist going off to be locked in a cage, what do you expect? People need to learn their place. Clearly, we might need concentration camps set up in the desert for re-education, done by Maoist Chinese Communist Party experts. You think I am being a bit extreme? Well, it is working for China, so why not here? I see nothing wrong with what our great and mighty trading partner does. By the way, we need to respect the communist Chinese more too, and stop this nonsense of blaming them for Covid-19, when in fact the disease may have started in the US, as reliable Chinese Communist Party sources have revealed. I trust them, and shouldn’t you too? Why would they lie to us, just for world domination?

Portland: Socialist Hell On Earth By Chris Knight

Sure, socialism looks mildly plausible on paper when you are 18 years old, and when what one is discussing is the multiple sins of the corporates. But really, you don’t need Marxism to see this. The real test of socialism, as Marxist would have to admit in their praxis/pragmatism theory of truth, is that the proof of the pudding is in the eating, as I think Marx’s mate Engels said. So, look at Portland as an example of what is in store, beyond the rhetoric, because talk is cheap:
  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/08/07/video-portland-rioters-throw-paint-on-elderly-womans-face-for-defending-police-station/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=daily&utm_campaign=20200807

“Portland protesters aggressively confronted two elderly women who reportedly tried to stop some of the flagrant criminal activity — throwing paint on one of them — the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) confirmed. Portland hit its 70th night of protests late Thursday night into early Friday morning — the day after violent protesters attempted to set the East Precinct on fire. Despite condemnation from Mayor Ted Wheeler (D), protesters targeted the building again, vandalizing security cameras with spray paint. One demonstrator successfully dismantled a security camera, the police affirmed. Authorities added that members of the group hurled cans of spray paint at the East Precinct. The PPB reported that “two elderly community members attempted to stop the group from vandalizing the building with paint and were subsequently hit with the paint.” Videos show protesters aggressively confronting one woman, who was covered in what appeared to be a white liquid.”

Shooting Themselves in the Foot By John Steele

I thought that the story about the law suit to close down the National Rifle Association was just another Leftist attack, which it is, but it may well be that these guys have shot the movement to preserve guns, and doomed America to civil war 2.0, all for luxury, comfort, materialism … if it is true.
  https://amp.abc.net.au/article/12533022

“New York's Attorney-General has sued the National Rifle Association (NRA) over allegations that high-ranking executives diverted millions of dollars for lavish personal trips, no-show contracts for associates and other questionable expenditures. The lawsuit filed in a Manhattan court by Attorney-General Letitia James alleges NRA leaders paid for family trips to the Bahamas, private jets and expensive meals that contributed to a $US64 million ($88 million) reduction in the NRA's balance sheet in three years, turning a surplus into a deficit. The lawsuit highlighted misspending and self-dealing allegations that have roiled the NRA and its longtime leader, Wayne LaPierre, in recent years — from hair and makeup for his wife to a $17 million post-employment contract for himself. Simultaneously, the Washington, DC, Attorney-General sued the NRA Foundation, a charitable arm of the organisation designed to provide programs for firearm safety, marksmanship and hunting safety, accusing it of diverting funds to the NRA to help pay for lavish spending by its top executives. The troubles, which Ms James said were long cloaked by loyal lieutenants and a pass-through payment arrangement with a vendor, started to come to light as the NRA's deficit piled up and it struggled to find its footing after a spate of mass shootings eroded support for its pro-gun agenda, the lawsuit said Mr LaPierre, 70, spent millions of the NRA's dollars on travel consultants, including luxury black car services, and hundreds of thousands of dollars on private jet flights for himself and his family, including more than $US500,000 ($691,000) on eight trips to the Bahamas over a three-year span. Ms James, a Democrat, argued that the organisation's prominence and cosy political relationships had lulled it into a sense of invincibility and enabled a culture where non-profit rules were routinely flouted and state and federal laws were violated. Even the NRA's own bylaws and employee handbook were ignored, she said. "The NRA's influence has been so powerful that the organisation went unchecked for decades while top executives funnelled millions into their own pockets," Ms James said in a statement announcing the lawsuit. "The NRA is fraught with fraud and abuse, which is why, today, we seek to dissolve the NRA, because no organisation is above the law." A spokesman for the NRA's legal team had no immediate comment. Ms James took aim at the NRA after her office last year dismantled President Donald Trump's charitable foundation and fined him $US2 million ($2.7million) to settle allegations he used donations meant for worthy causes to further his own business and political interests. Though it has headquarters in Virginia, the NRA was chartered as a non-profit in New York in 1871 and continues to be incorporated in the state. The Washington, DC, Attorney-General has been investigating the NRA Foundation for more than a year.”

It requires manufacturers of encrypted devices and operating systems to have the ability to decrypt data upon request, creating a backdoor requirement.

The case was investigated by the FBI and involved at least one other agency, but the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota, Erica MacDonald, has decided not to prosecute. MacDonald is a Republican who was appointed to her post in June 2018 by President Trump.”

New York is becoming a case study of what is going to happen as the communist revolution rolls over America, and then the rest of the West. To get the ball rolling, the strategy is anarcho-tyranny in New York, where budget cuts to the police, despite all of their faults, are leading to a Mad Max world, with the rule of law in crisis:

“New York City is spiraling into a rule-of-law crisis, according to the city’s police department, citing the recent surge in shootings and a paralyzed justice system that can’t keep repeat offenders off the streets. While the NYPD has sounded the alarm for months, city leaders seem to be headed in the opposite direction, slashing the department’s budget by $1 billion. “I hope I’m not the only one—it takes a long time to turn the ship—that sees the iceberg directly in front of us,” NYPD Commissioner Dermont Shea told NY1 on June 22. The problem is the result of multiple compounding factors, several current and former NYPD leaders said. First, the city passed a bail reform law that allowed more criminals to immediately get back on the streets. Then the city went into lockdown in response to the CCP virus pandemic, resulting in the shutdown of the court system, which created a sizable backlog of cases. It then released hundreds from its jails, saying it would mitigate the spread of the virus among inmates. Finally, protests sparked by the death of George Floyd during his arrest in Minneapolis in May quickly turned violent, fueling resentment toward police and elevating calls for abolishing police altogether. There were 250 victims of shootings across the city between June 1 and June 28—an increase of nearly 160 percent from the same period last year, and the largest number for that four-week time frame since 1996. On the Fourth of July weekend, 39 people were shot across the city, including two men in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. A 20-year-old died after a dispute during a party that spilled out into the street ended with bullets flying. Three days later, the street had been cleared and there was no evidence of a crime scene. Three men fixing a car on the street said the incident was a celebration gone wrong. “Their energy in the city is all messed up,” one said, declining to provide his name. When asked if the city should do something about the shootings, he said: “We should do something about it. We need to stop acting stupid.” The city needs to reopen recreation facilities, said two women sitting on the stairs of a house near the scene of the crime. Frustration among the youth runs high as the virus lockdown forced them to stay inside even as the summer came, they said.”

The Myth of George Floyd By Chris Knight (Florida)

Well, the bodycam footage of the entire George Floyd arrest has been released, and it clearly shows that Floyd used the phrase “I can’t breathe” long before the police restrained him, this being consistent with him being a criminal trying to get rid of evidence. And this is the new martyr of the revolution, a true symbol of the state of America, and the West, today.

“Early, one of the officers has a gun on him, and tells him repeatedly to put his hands on the wheel. Floyd says, “I got shot the same way before.” Well then, says the cop, put your hands on the wheel when I tell you to.
The police tell him repeatedly to get out of the car, but he keeps saying, “Please don’t shoot me, please don’t shoot me.” Yet he refuses to obey them. At the 1:28 moment, Floyd says, “I just lost my mom, man.” (He was lying about that.) At the 1:51 point, a female voice is heard saying, “Stop resisting!” Floyd continues to resist arrest as they’re trying to cuff him. At about the 2:12 point, the officer says again, “Stop resisting!” At 2:19, the police finally get the cuffs on Floyd, and put him back into the seat of his car. In the seconds before a break at 3:57, one of the bystanders (a black woman) tells an officer that Floyd has mental problems. Then, at 3:57, we see Floyd cuffed and standing on the street. An officer says, “Are you on something right now?” “No, nothing,” says Floyd.

Big Tech; Big Mafia By Brian Simpson

I like the following article that compares big Tech to organised crime. Indeed, the metaphor can be extended to cover much of modernity, where not only does government blend into crime syndicates, with corrupt cops, politicians and everyone in between, but entire institutions, such as the universities reek of criminality, treason, degeneracy, you name it. Corruption and rottenness is  everywhere, a universal sewer flowing throughout the land, which is what we would expect in a world undergoing decomposition:

“On Wednesday, the House's top antitrust subcommittee grilled big-tech CEOs Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai, Tim Cook and Jeff Bezos, who appeared via videoconferencing software. Some people called it tech's "Big Tobacco moment" while others compared it with past antitrust investigations of Microsoft and AT&T. To me, the hearing - and the ongoing investigations - conjured another set of hearings from 70 years ago: the probe into mob activity led by Sen. Estes Kefauver, D-Tenn. Those hearings led to a wave of enforcement, new laws and eventually, in 1970, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. What we learned at Wednesday's hearing suggests the behavior of Facebook, Microsoft, Apple and Amazon calls for a comparably comprehensive and forceful response. (Bezos, the chief executive of Amazon, owns The Washington Post.) There are more than a few similarities between the organized crime and these four companies. Like the Mafia, the threats that Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Google pose to American democracy flow from the power they have over key services (from email to social media to music and film), the way they use dominance in one area to achieve dominance in others and their ability to use fear to stop challenges to their control. Like the Mafia, they are a resilient, surveillance-based shadow government. So citizens are dual subjects - of the country, and of the flawed online markets created by these companies. Like the mob, big tech has friends in very high places. Likewise, big tech is an oligarchy with several bosses, who compete in some territories but generally divide power among themselves, without consulting elected officials. Obviously, I am not saying Facebook and Google murder and kneecap their opponents, or burn down businesses that refuse to play by their rules; I am not equating tech companies with the mob. While just about every Mafia enterprise was illegal, big tech operates in a legal gray area; these companies argue that they have broken no laws. They evade taxes using legal loopholes, not as the mob does by simply refusing to report income. Still, the analogy is useful, because it helps us think about a certain kind of oligarchic governing power that exists alongside - is interwoven with - responsive democratic systems. It helps us to think through what an effective governmental response to systemic interference with, dominance of, and bullying of businesses with less power might look like. The hearing, compressed into one afternoon with all the CEOs present at one time, was not ideal, but arguably the best Congress could get without getting dragged into an extended legal fight over subpoenas. In one of the funnier moments, Bezos said, "I don't want to be sitting here," and then trailed off, revealing a basic truth.”
