To THE AUSTRALIAN          Janet Albrechtsen is completely right ('Neo-Nazis test our conviction', 3-4/3) that the community must clearly and effectively ban incitement to violence, but that such acts need also to be clearly differentiated from 'freedom of expression' behaviour such as 'hate speech', blasphemy, harassment and intimidation. That sort of behaviour should not be made illegal but should be debated in public forums. Few Australians would support it.

     Legislation against violence should clearly define what is meant, otherwise some might argue that 'violence' can be understood metaphorically rather than logically, which would open the door again to political censorship and the erosion of intellectual freedom. As for the 'neo-Nazi' acts Albrechtsen describes, they make it harder for responsible right-wing conservatism to defend free speech, which makes you wonder whether the ratbags concerned are engaging in a 'false flags' operation precisely to discredit such defence.

     The basic gist of the articles is that there are incidents involving the student colleges of leading universities, where student’s board. It seems that these colleges have cultures of alcohol, which has led to drunk male students raping female victims as reported in the articles. What is interesting is that the universities have a big public promotion that they are safe spaces for young women, but the colleges are in the respect detailed, not, if the victims’ testimonies are accepted, and I have no reason to doubt them. Clearly, all of the actions described in the article constitute criminal offences. Some victims advocate closing down of the colleges, which I think is fully justified in the light of their testimony and the evidence of a new 200 page report, The Red Zone, on the toxic culture of the universities.

     Trump does not get it. He got in because he defended the “deplorables,” the dispossessed majority of Euro-Americans. That meant defending things like free speech and the right to bear firearms. However, he seems to have the deluded view that if he makes concessions on the gun issue, the liberal/globalist establishment will suddenly love him! This is crazy, and shows Trump’s lack of strategic IQ, something which he has self-promoted himself as having.

     He in reality has done little to save traditional America, but the establishment still take him as a symbol of resistance, so he must be destroyed, as a purely symbolic gesture. That Trump went to water on the gun issue is very easy to see from the saga of the headlines, where Trump supported gun confiscation without due process, making US law something like Australian socialist law:

     As I have said in other articles, I studied philosophy at a mid-level US university in the 1980s, failing badly in second year, primarily because of my Christian approach to problems. Ethics was the topic that led to me withdrawing, but I found all of the topics, like the theory of knowledge, somewhat insane. The type of philosophy done at Anglo-American universities is called “analytic philosophy” and it basically applies mathematical logic and the sciences to solve traditional problems. It also has something of a toolkit of its own, various methods and tricks (linguistic analysis), but I never mastered them.      I came across this interesting little story by French Alt Righter, Guillaume Faye. It is not great literature, and no doubt much is lost in translation, but it is still thought provoking. Western civilisation is collapsing and the protagonist, Jeane Riquetaut, seeks to preserve some trace of what was by putting in words on leather, humanity’s plight, and sealing the leather in a safe.
