Hey!… Want to Buy a Cheap Heart, Liver, Kidney …? By James Reed

Some from the Left say that claims of China harvesting organs, is false news, racism, bad, bad, bad. But what about claims made of this by the Chinese themselves? Is that auto-racism? Shouldn’t white lefties just explode?
  https://www.breitbart.com/asia/2020/03/03/tribunal-chinas-live-harvesting-political-prisoner-organs-continues-day/

“The China Tribunal, an independent legal entity created to investigate decades of reports of China selling organs cut out of living political prisoners, concluded in its report published this week that live organ harvesting “continues to this day.” The China Tribunal’s report follows months of investigations, including testimony from experts and first-hand accounts from former political prisoners, and compiles hundreds of pages of evidence that the Chinese Communist Party has a stable of people it can kill on demand to sell their organs to high bidders on the black market. Those most vulnerable to having their kidneys, livers, hearts, and other organs cut out of them without anesthesia, as some testified occurred, are Falun Gong practitioners, though ample evidence also exists that Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities in China’s western concentration camps are also being routinely tested in a way consistent with medical testing for organ donation. Christians and other religious minorities in prison for their faith reported face similar testing. The report also found ample evidence of torture and murder of political prisoners and ethnic minorities. Those in the concentration camps in Xinjiang, where most of the nation’s Uyghur population is located, testified to being electrocuted, beaten, forced into sleep deprivation, and witnessed rape and murder.

The Scary News from Japan … and Australia By Brian Simpson

I admire the Japanese, not in the cringing way places like American Renaissance does (they are so much smarter than us), but with respect as a highly capable society. Thus, if Japan is onto something, just as if Israel was, it would be foolish not to look and learn. Consider Japan’s present response to the coronavirus pandemic, and yes, it is now universally admitted to be a pandemic now:
  https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2020/02/27/japan-to-close-schools-nationwide-in-bid-to-contain-coronavirus/

“Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo ordered the closure of all elementary, middle and high schools on Thursday until the beginning of the country’s spring holidays in late March in a bid to contain the outbreak of the coronavirus. The measure, which will cost the Japanese economy billions of dollars, will impact 12.8 million students at nearly 35,000 schools nationwide, according to the country’s education ministry. The drastic measure comes amid rapidly growing concern about the spread of the virus across Japan and other parts of Asia, as the number of untraceable cases of the virus continues to rise. Japan now has around 900 cases, including more than 700 from a quarantined cruise ship. At least eight deaths have been confirmed. “Efforts have been made to prevent the spread of infection among children in each region, and these one or two weeks will be an extremely critical period,” Abe told a meeting of key Cabinet ministers on Thursday. “The government attaches the top priority to the health and safety of children, among others.”

Coronavirus: Economy vs Nature: Biology Bites Back By Brian Simpson

This situation with the coronavirus is very different from the climate change scam, where the political element is clear on the face of it; that is, one can see a globalist anti-Western agenda. Coronavirus is more complex. As the articles which I have assembled below show, the virus continues to spread throughout the world, with a steep rise in cases in South Korea, Japan and Italy. It is no longer, just China’s problem, and the so-called racial realists who thought that there would be no white deaths have been proven wrong.

“As the coronavirus becomes the all-consuming news story of the moment, the Financial Times decided to invite an extremely apropos guest for this weekend's "Lunch with the FT". That guest is: Belgian scientist Peter Piot, the "Mick Jagger of Microbes", best known for discovering the Ebola virus. Obviously well-qualified, how does Piot feel about COVID-19? He didn't mince words: "This is serious." "I’m not the scaremongering type," he says. "But I think this is serious in the sense that we can’t afford not to consider it as a serious threat." "It could be that, indeed, it’s going to be over in a few months," he continues, crunching into a tempura-covered sage leaf. "But just take the counterfactual. We say, ‘OK, it’s fine and we don’t do anything.’ I bet that we would already have had far more cases in Singapore, the UK, Germany. Let’s not forget, we are already well over 1,000 deaths. That’s not a detail." The interview took place on Feb. 13, which means that since Piot made these comments, 1,500 more people have died, and serious outbreaks have emerged in Iran, South Korea and Italy. Saudi Arabia has halted pilgrimages to Mecca, and Japanese PM Shinzo Abe has asked all schools in the country to close.”

Poverty Australian Style By James Reed

Being dirt poor, I can relate to my fellow Aussies sinking into the mud with me. Like not being able to pay for dental treatment, and having to contemplate pulling out one’s own teeth with rusty pliers. Don’t even ask about do-it-yourself surgery:
  https://www.sbs.com.au/news/one-in-eight-australian-adults-one-in-six-kids-are-living-in-poverty

“One in eight Australians adults and one in six children are living in poverty, a new report has found. The Australian Council of Social Service and UNSW Sydney joint study found 13.6 per cent of the population - or 3.24 million people - are estimated to be living below the poverty line, after taking account of housing costs. Of those, 774,000 children are living in poverty, the study published on Friday said. The council's chief executive Cassandra Goldie said Australians were locked into poverty by low welfare rates, a lack of jobs and unaffordable housing. She called on the government to raise welfare payments, invest in social housing and boost jobs growth. "Our economy is leaving people behind, with persistently high poverty rates despite decades of uninterrupted economic growth," Dr Goldie said. Researchers warned Australia's poverty rate was worse than most wealthy countries, including New Zealand, Germany and Ireland. In Australia, the poverty line was $457 per week for a single adult, with the poverty line measured as 50 per cent of median income. The average gap between the poverty line and people living in poverty was $282 per week.”

Brett Stevens on Hairy Harvey Weinstein By Charles Taylor

After his jail sentence being delivered by the court, old Harvey was admitted to hospital with chest pains, maybe a heart attack coming. Who would not get chest pains from all that Me-tooism! On this Brett Stevens sums it up in his admirably brutal, concise style:

“Egalitarian systems favor victims because they, at the left side of the bell curve, are those to whom benefits flow from those on the right side. As a result, we have elevated victims to special status because they are the new elite. In my view, Harvey Weinstein did not have any victims; he had dupes, or mooks who played the game to get ahead in Hollywood and then lost. They knew that Hollywood, which makes its money by attention …  has long had a tradition of producers and investors treating its women like prostitutes. They took the gamble: offer sex in exchange for getting ahead in the industry. For some, this did not work out, since they did not have whatever mix of talent, charisma, dedication, and luck is required to become a big name. They faced an ugly choice between admitting failure and scapegoating someone else, and now they get their fifteen minutes in the sun. I doubt anyone cares that Harvey Weinstein is off the streets, since he has already made money for the people who matter, or that any of his remaining wealth will be siphoned off to these … victims. However, the trend toward victimhood shows us a dying civilization where no one believes in its future and everyone is trying to scrabble for enough money to escape.”

Will There be Australian Dairy Industry (Or Anything Else) in the Future? By James Reed

Another day, one more Chinese buy up, this time a whole lot of iconic former Australian dairy names:
  https://amp.9news.com.au/article/bc9afd4a-04a7-4fb6-8214-72662b04654a

“The ACCC has cleared the way for China Mengniu Dairy to lap up Lion's Dairy and Drinks portfolio, which includes the Dairy Farmers, Pura milk, Dare and Farmers Union iced coffee brands. The competition watchdog says Mengniu's $600 million proposal to acquire Lion's raw milk processing facilities in Australia will not substantially lessen competition in the Gippsland region, where Mengniu already has a presence due to a partial ownership of Burra Foods. ACCC Deputy Chair Mick Keogh says while Burra and Lion D&D compete for raw milk, they are not close competitors. "Our investigations concluded that dairy farmers are unlikely to switch between the two," Mr Keogh said today. The ACCC also considered a combined Mengniu-Lion D&D would continue to be constrained by giants Saputo and Fonterra in the region, as well as a number of smaller raw milk processors. The deal still needs Foreign Investment Review Board approval.”

Big Business and Mass Immigration By Michael Ferguson

Here is a good article, not every unquoted word of which I necessarily endorse, detailing why big business loves mass immigration; it is all about the money, bunny, and has been since this place was set up.
  https://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2020/02/23/the-war-on-white-australia-cheap-labor-importation-schemes/

“Population growth fuelled by mass immigration and the servicing of it with cheaply-built houses, apartments, and supermarkets has essentially become Australia’s economic strategy. Former Australian Foreign Minister, Bob Carr, pointed out that “Australia digs up and sells raw materials. In the cities the economy is based on building apartment blocks and shopping malls. The idea of Australia as a clever country is a myth, it’s an illusion.” Unsurprisingly, surveys have found a steep fall in public support for immigration over the last decade. A 2018 survey found that more than 69 per cent of respondents felt the country didn’t need more people. Community concerns about the deleterious effects of mass immigration are not, however, represented by Australia’s political class. At the 2019 federal election, despite some clear differences between the two major political parties in a range of policy areas, they effectively ran a joint ticket on immigration. Economics journalist Judith Sloan notes that immigration is “a no go subject for many in the political class,” who are “in heated agreement in their support for high migrant intakes, both permanent and temporary, and the associated high population growth.”

Coronavirus Visits Italy: Pizza? By Brian Simpson

The coronavirus is marching through South Korea now, showing how ineffective communist China’s control mechanisms were. Pandemics and the Universities By James Reed

Guess what the universities are up to today in these days of plague?
  https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-health-australia/australian-university-offers-chinese-students-1000-to-return-via-third-country-idUSKBN20F08A

“One of Australia’s leading universities said on Friday it is offering Chinese students A$1,500 ($992) if they travel through a third country as higher education providers seek to minimize the impact of a ban on foreigners arriving from mainland China. Australia has since Feb. 1 barred entry to foreigners arriving directly from mainland China, citing a need to stop the spread of the flu-like virus that emerged in China late last year. The ban was extended on Thursday until at least Feb. 29. With the Australian academic year already underway, universities fear thousands of students will withdraw and look at international alternatives if they are unable to get to their classes within weeks. Australia’s government has said that as long as the students are outside China for 14 days, they would be permitted to enter the country. Western Sydney University said it will offer Chinese students a one-off payment if they fulfil those requirements.”

Australia Sensible on Climate Change Nonsense By James Reed

It is good to see that the Feds are putting mining and jobs ahead of so-called climate change international obligations, and globalist bs like that:
  https://www.breitbart.com/environment/2020/02/24/australia-refuses-to-risk-mining-jobs-economy-in-pursuit-of-u-n-climate-targets/

“Australia’s conservative coalition government will put jobs and the economy ahead of any U.N. demands for it to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,  Finance Minister Mathias Cormann said Sunday. Cormann said Australia’s government will work to set new long-term plans addressing greenhouse gas emissions ahead of yet another global climate summit in Glasgow year, however it won’t pursue any net-zero emissions policies that hurt workers in key economic areas. “If we make the wrong decisions, not only would we be harming the Australian economy, harming Australian workers, we would also be harming the global environment,” Cormann said in an interview on local outlet Sky News. “Imposing a target in Australia that ultimately just shifts emissions to other parts of the world where emissions will be higher for the same level of economic output doesn’t help solve the problem that we’re wanting to solve, and just imposes a sacrifice on people here in Australia for no environmental benefit whatsoever.”

Universal Income in Scotland By James Reed

Scotland had begun an experiment with a universal income scheme; here are the details:
  https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/universal-basic-income-scotland-week-cash-payment-life-nicola-sturgeon-first-minister-snp-a7934131.html

“Scotland may adopt a universal basic income scheme that would guarantee a cash payment of up to £150 a week to its citizens for the rest of their lives, Nicola Sturgeon has said. The First Minister said she would fund research into the proposal that would “inform parliament’s thinking for the future”. The system has been championed as a method to do away with the UK’s welfare system, but critics complain that it is complicated and pointed out that many of the handouts overlap. It would see benefits payments such as the dole and housing all rolled into one lump sum. It would not be means-tested and would be given out whether the recipient has a job or not. Advocates say it frees up State workers from assessing individual cases for benefits - such as housing payments and the dole - and that it also eliminates poverty. But critics complain it pushes social policy “in the wrong direction” and the payments encourage people to work less and therefore contribute less in taxes to fund the scheme.”

Survival of the Richest? By Brian “The Brain” Simpson

Is this their plan? The hypothesis to be discussed is that the rich will be able to reproduce and have children, being able to get some freedom and protection from environmental toxins, while the poor, people like us, will be swimming in pollutants, and thus will be effectively sterilised. End of story.
  https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/10/gmos-grantham-warns-only-the-rich-will-be-able-to-have-kids-due-to-chemical-toxicity.html

“Investor Jeremy Grantham warned in a letter that falling birth rates in the developed world could accelerate in coming years due to increasing chemical toxicity, allowing only wealthy people to have children. In recent years, economists have raised concern about the impact on economic growth of slowing birth rates in the developed world. Grantham, who co-founded GMO in the 1970s and is famous for calling the last two major market bubbles, said that trend is poised to accelerate due to increased chemical toxicity in the environment and food products. “This interference is growing at such a rapid rate that if left alone it is likely to leave us sterile in a few decades with only the rich able to easily afford the healthy lifestyles and the exotic medical help required to have babies,” Grantham said. While acknowledging that changes in lifestyle choices is responsible for at least some of the slowing birth rates, Graham said increased chemical toxicity is making it harder for women to conceive and lowering sperm counts in men. “The net effect of choice and postponement combined with the recent decade of ‘help’ from toxicity has been an unexpected and accelerating decline in delivered fertility in developed countries, as well as the critically important China and India, with new annual cohorts of babies already declining in absolute numbers, not just growth rates,” Grantham said. He also pointed to dramatic population declines in some species of insects as an example of how increased chemicals in the environment can hurt reproduction rates. He ended his letter by warning that major chemical companies could soon be hit by widespread bans on some of their key products. “The bottom line is this: either endocrine disrupting chemicals will go out of business or we will!” Grantham wrote.

CEOs should stop sitting on the fence about their clients’ property By Nicholas Babaya

One of the remarkable results of the saga regarding amending the property rights section of the Constitution is the relative silence coming from corporate top-brass at South Africa’s financial institutions. Banks and other financial institutions are – in the vast majority of cases – the way South Africans finance expensive property such as houses, agricultural land, vehicles, factories, and many other assets. Many have tried to frame the proposed constitutional amendment in terms of some kind of focus on agricultural land, but really when one understands this change in policy in light of the National Democratic Revolution of the governing African National Congress (ANC), it is clear that this is very much about property in general. The ANC’s policies have been progressively more and more about state control. Poor black South Africans living in RDP houses do not own the title deeds to the land on which they live. Failing state-owned enterprises are kept afloat by getting pumped full of taxpayers’ rands. In just over ten years, Eskom’s debt securities and borrowings have increased by over 1000%. Now Fikile Mbalula has announced the government is looking to establish another state-owned enterprise (SOE), this time a shipping carrier – largely for the purposes of transformation. Given the unmitigated failure to make a profit at so many other SOEs, this might seem insane, but it’s not insane if the purpose was never to make a profit in the first place. Fundamentally, the ANC believes in state intervention in the economy to drive social engineering – the dead loss is of no concern. I remember hearing Malusi Gigaba express these sentiments in a speech he gave at my alma mater Rhodes University last year. It was not that SAA was unsuccessful, we were just viewing “success” according to the imperialist Washington Consensus.

When translating this view of “success” into the realm of property ownership, the implications of potential government expropriation of property should be making alarm bells go off  for financial institutions which grant loans against property as collateral. Should a person’s property be expropriated with compensation, is that person still liable to pay off their bond? It would be a bizarre situation in which people might default on their debt while having little to be repossessed by the bank. Nedbank CEO Mike Brown himself has stated that EWC could cause “a classical banking crisis.” So why then have CEOs of financial institutions not been more vocal in their opposition to the constitutional amendment which is proposed? Surely these intelligent CEOs and board members of banks must be aware of the serious consequences which expropriation of property without compensation will have on their clients? Unfortunately this fits in with a general trend of business cosying up to government in the hope that they might get a seat at the negotiating table. The agricultural community has perhaps already seen this, with Dan Kriek initially getting a seat at Cyril Ramaphosa’s 2018 Advisory Panel on Land Reform but later distancing himself from that panel’s recommendations for EWC. Kriek has since resigned (the official statement said it was “due to health and stress-related reasons”), and now farmers are facing terrible drought on one hand and government threatening to steal their property on the other. It is certainly understandable that big business in South Africa would want to have a good relationship with government. Government spending makes up a large proportion of GDP and the ANC is constantly finding new ways of involving itself in the economy, either through more failing SOEs or harsh regulatory environments – especially in the case of mining and infrastructure development, the latter of which consists of many government tenders. Perhaps big businesses in South Africa believe that by cosying up to the bureaucrats in Pretoria and “playing along” in the legislative process they may avoid being in the firing line. Take a look at this interview with Mike Brown from Nedbank, and how he gingerly mentions his opposition to EWC while still sounding supportive of “the process.”

WHY MANY PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD HATE GLOBALISATION By Gary J. Matthews (a Vietnam Veteran)

Ten years ago Australia had five car manufacturers, Ford, GMH, Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi.

Now we have none. All gone  overseas and the reason given? Costs were to high. Funny in that the cars we are  now importing (Malaysia etc) are no cheaper.

I remember back in  1968 living in Brisbane, when the 3 major cities back then were Sydney,  Melbourne & Adelaide and Adelaide was the  Industrial City.

Adelaide - South  Australia, was where you went to work in the Iron Ore Industry, or where you  could get a job making railway tracks for B.H.P.?

You could  get a job building ships, submarines, cars, washing machines, fridges, TV’s,  Hills hoists, Victa Lawn Mowers or make tyres at Bridgestone tyres.

Lightburn Washing Machine Company even made a car called a  Zeta. It was not much of  a car, but at least it was Australian and we built it. I worked at Stanvac  where we made our own Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene and Oil. We had Oil Rigs in  Bass Strait, North West Shelf and the Timor Sea. We even had  Australian owned Service Stations like (H.C. Sleigh) Golden Fleece and many of  us young wanna-be mechanics back then worked as a driveway attendant. (Just like  Stanley)

Elite Capture of Foreign Aid By James Reed

This is interesting, from Michael Smith News, quoting a Work Bank report that found that 7.5 percent of aid goes into foreign bank accounts:

  https://www.michaelsmithnews.com/2020/02/we-ask-dfat-for-comment-on-world-bank-finding-that-75-of-aid-goes-into-secret-private-accounts.html

Elite Capture of Foreign Aid Evidence from Offshore Bank Accounts Jørgen Juel Andersen Niels Johannesen Bob Rijkers  Policy Research Working Paper 9150
“Do elites capture foreign aid? This paper documents that aid disbursements to highly aid-dependent countries coincide with sharp increases in bank deposits in offshore financial centers known for bank secrecy and private wealth management, but not in other financial centers. The estimates are not confounded by contemporaneous shocks such as civil conflicts, natural disasters, and financial crises, and are robust to instrumenting with predetermined aid commitments. The implied leakage rate is around 7.5 percent at the sample mean and tends to increase with the ratio of aid to GDP. The findings are consistent with aid capture in the most aid-dependent countries. … We document that aid disbursements to the most aid-dependent countries coincide with significant increases in deposits held in offshore financial centers known for bank secrecy and private wealth management. Aid capture by ruling politicians, bureaucrats and their cronies is consistent with the totality of observed patterns: it can explain why aid does not trigger flows to non-havens, why the capital outflows occur precisely in the same quarter as the aid inflows and why the estimated effects are larger for more corrupt countries. Other explanations are possible but we find them harder to reconcile with all the patterns in the data. We cannot exclude that firms benefiting from aid-sponsored spending receive payments in quarters with aid disbursements and deposit the funds with foreign banks; however, this mechanism cannot explain why the money only flows to havens. It seems even less likely that the results reflect profit shifting by multinational firms, the effect of aid on income through aggregate demand and portfolio adjustments by commercial and central banks. Our estimates suggest a leakage rate of around 7.5% for the average highly aid-dependent country.”

The Elderly Migrant Tsunami By Peter Bennett

Dr Bob Birrell predicts a flood of elderly migrants to Australia. Good grief, what next!
  https://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2019/05/labor-visa-earthquake-to-trigger-elderly-migrant-tsunami/

“An alarmist headline? Not really. This judgement follows from an analysis of Labor’s proposed temporary visa for parents of existing migrants, entitled, a ‘Fairer Long stay parent visa for Australia’s migrant and multicultural communities’. The proposal was announced on 22 April, 2019. Labor’s proposal is for an uncapped, low cost, temporary parent visa open to all migrant families who are citizens or are permanent residents. It will cost $2,500 for five years regardless of sponsors’ income or capacity to provide for their parents. All four parents in each household can be sponsored. The children eligible to sponsor their parents include all those who are permanent residents or citizens of Australia. The visa will be renewable thus enabling parents to stay in Australia for ten years without having to leave. This means it is a de facto permanent entry visa since, as sponsors will know, it is highly unlikely that parents who have lived here for a decade will be required to return home. Labor’s ‘temporary’ parent visa is an unprecedented offer. No other western country provides any similar parent visa. The trend across Western Europe is to tighten already stringent rules on parents’  access to obtain permanent residence status. The US, though it allows adult migrant children to sponsor their parents, has many hurdles, including that the sponsor must be a citizen and must meet financial capacity guidelines. Even Canada, the most overtly welcoming migration country in the west, has an annual cap of 17,000 on parent visas and, as with the US, sponsors must prove that they can meet stringent financial capacity criteria. As we will see, Labor’s parent proposal dismantles all the careful rules successive Australian governments have, over thirty years, put in place to control parent migration. The door is now wide open for parent sponsorship. This is an especially attractive prospect of Australia’s more recently arrived Asian and Middle-Eastern communities. And here it should be noted that Australia’s Asian-born population (at just over 10 per cent) is higher than any other western country.

Globalism and the Cashless Society By James Reed

Who is promoting the push to a cashless society and why? Whose interests are served by this? Certainly not those of the little people, like me, who get to struggle to pay bills, through putting the odd shrapnel of cash into containers to try and meet specific bills on time:
  https://www.alt-market.com/index.php/articles/4013-the-rush-to-a-cashless-society-only-serves-globalist-interests

“In 2017 I published an article called 'The Globalist One World Currency Will Look A Lot Like Bitcoin'. In it, I warned that the trendy marketing of cryptocurrencies to the general public by the mainstream media was extremely suspicious and contrary to the notion that the establishment was “terrified” of Bitcoin or blockchain tech putting them out of business. I also warned of the deep involvement of international banks like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan in the progress of blockchain infrastructure and more specifically Goldman Sachs and the IMF's love affair with digital monetary systems. Goldman Sachs even referred to the blockchain as “the new technology of trust...” Clearly, the banking elites are not worried about this technology. In fact, they have been investing in it heavily. But why?  I have long held that current popular cryptocurrencies are nothing more than a beta test for a global digital currency system controlled by the elites. This is not to say that many people are familiar with using Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. In fact, only a tiny percentage of the population ever comes into contact with or trades crypto. What I am saying is, the terminology, the idea of cryptocurrencies, is now widespread. Thanks to a vast amount of media attention, Bitcoin is a household brand even though most people have never owned a bitcoin (or a portion of a bitcoin). Whale investors have hyperinflated the price of Bitcoin and certain other coins to levels beyond all reason as demand by the investment world and average people for the mechanism is minimal at best. These price explosions, though brief, have spurred public curiosity. And, in the minds of many if something is considered valuable, no matter how ethereal or arbitrary the measure, there must be a reason...right? Therefore, in the minds of bitcoin cheerleaders high market prices prove by default that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are necessary and desirable and anyone who is critical or skeptical is merely “upset” that they “missed out on the opportunity”.

Epstein’s Ghost Must Have Done It! By Charles Taylor

Hands up those who don’t believe in conspiracies nowadays? I thought so, nobody. The whole world runs on it, and conspiracies run from the top to the bottom of the system. Let’s take paedophile Epstein’s amazing vanishing bank account for example:
  https://themindunleashed.com/2020/02/no-one-knows-why-epsteins-secret-bank-account-moved-millions-since-his-death.html

“A judge in the Virgin Islands has recently questioned the lawyers of Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, after an old bank account registered to Epstein received millions of dollars from the estate in the months since his death. The account was opened by Epstein in the Virgin Islands in 2014 and was reportedly intended to be used for an international banking firm that he planned to develop. On his application, Epstein said that he wanted to pursue the “dynamic discipline of international banking.” Meanwhile, on that same application he glossed over his very serious criminal history and his status as a registered sex offender, saying that he dealt with a previous legal challenge but the case was discontinued. The account in the Virgin Islands sat dormant with very little activity for many years, and it is unclear whether or not his international banking firm ever brought on clients. Local authorities suspect it was used as some type of shell company for his criminal enterprise. Despite the lack of activity and Epstein’s criminal record the bank renewed his license every year since he was first approved. The New York Times reported on Tuesday that the bank had $693,157 in assets when Epstein died back in August but received roughly $12.9 million in the months since. The account was cleared out and left with just under a half-million dollars around the first of the year.”

Academics Think that People Like Us are “Vermin” By Richard Miller

Academics have a low opinion of us, and we should likewise reciprocate the feeling:
  https://www.independent.co.uk/news/education/education-news/cardiff-university-students-conservatives-tory-general-election-a9248701.html

“Cardiff University lecturers have been criticised by students for suggesting people who vote Conservative are “vermin” and lack a “social conscience”. The Cardiff University Conservative Association, a student society, has spoken out against the comments by academics, saying is a “real shame” to see young Conservatives being “attacked” by senior lecturers. The students are calling on the university to ensure classes are taught in an “impartial manner”. It comes after Dr Andy Williams, senior lecturer at the university's school of journalism, media and culture came under fire for branding Conservative voters “vermin” after the general election. Dr Williams referred to polling data suggesting that men and older voters were more likely to back Conservatives.
