I saw this article dealing with social critic Wendell Berry, but I can’t really comment as I have not read any of his recent books, and have only vague recollections of A Place on Earth (1967). Still, it is interesting. But, I liked the comments on Blaise Pascal (1623-1662), that attributes many problems to the lack of ability of people to be at peace, as exemplified by sitting quietly in their room. There is much here. Pascal even then say that the reason for this irritability was the poverty of morality that engulfs many people, and certainly today. It is seen in social media which Pascal, a deeply religious Christian, would see as the tool of the devil.
