Fear the Walking Dead ... Sorry, White Men By Charles Taylor

Here are some juicy articles in the theatre of the absurd, showing the levels of madness of the progressives. Muslim representative Ilhan Omar, one of the “Squad’ thinks people should fear white men more:
  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/07/25/flashback-ilhan-omar-tells-al-jazeera-our-country-should-be-more-fearful-of-white-men/

“Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) suggested in a recently resurfaced interview that Americans should be “more fearful of white men” than radical Islamic terror. In an August 2018 interview with Al Jazeera host Medhi Hasan, the far-left “Squad” member was asked for her thoughts on the purported rise of Islamophobia in the wake of terror attacks such as the Manhattan bike path massacre that killed eight people. “I would say our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country,” Omar claimed.”

Face it, Sydney is Lost By Bruce Bennett

I lived in Sydney for about 8 years, working in real estate. Travel, the sheer amount of traffic made me ill, I mean really ill in terms of hypertension, going around to properties all day, and drinking alcohol at night. I earnt good money selling the place off to overseas buyers, but eventually I saw the error of my ways, left the evil industry, left Sydney, and went down the coast. Maybe others will do so too, before Sydney simply collapses:
  https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/why-sydney-is-a-disaster-mark-latham-on-everything-thats-wrong-with-australias-biggest-city-and-its-troubled-future-thanks-to-a-booming-population/ar-AAEnppj?li=AAgfYrC&ocid=mailsignout

“Sydney's planners suffer from a 'total lack of sense' and seem 'permanently asleep at the wheel' as the city goes through a massive population boom, Mark Latham has warned. In an exclusive interview, the newly elected New South Wales One Nation leader has given a scathing diagnosis of the biggest problem with Australia's largest city. The powerful crossbencher, 58, still lives in Sydney's south-west near Camden with his wife and children and commutes to work by train. But Mr Latham described the area as 'population boom town' and painted a vivid picture of schools and local services already under immense strain. That comes even as the Government plans to build a new city the size of Adelaide on Sydney's outskirts - without setting aside land for a single public hospital. 'I got involved with politics because of bad planning where I grew up ... and fifty years later you're having the same problems,' Mr Latham said. 'You have to wonder, are these people permanently asleep at the wheel? Because these are obvious, obvious problems that come from bad planning.'

Fantastic News for Transgender Weight Lifting! By Mrs Vera West

I have been paying attention to the fantastic gains and in-roads that transgender athletes, especially in weightlifting have made in women’s sports. Records once held by so-called “women” continue to fall, and who could not clap their hands with excitement at this, for the end of cis-women’s sport is close at hand:
  https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/jul/15/laurel-hubbard-transgender-weightlifter-wins-two-g/?utm_campaign=shareaholic&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=socialnetwork

“The transgender conquest of women’s sports continued over the weekend as a New Zealand weightlifter took home multiple gold medals at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa. Laurel Hubbard won two gold medals and a silver in the three heavyweight categories, for women weighing more than 87 kilograms, or 192 pounds, finishing first in the snatch-lift and combined categories and second in the clean-and-jerk. The 41-year-old weightlifter was born as Gavin Hubbard and reportedly transitioned while in the mid-30s. According to Caldron Pool, a Christian website that reported the outcome, the woman in second place was Samoa’s Feagaiga Stowers, who won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games last year after Hubbard withdrew with an injured elbow.”

The Eyes Have It! By Mrs Vera West

Here is a great article on something we take for granted until it is under threat: our eyesight! The point made is that eye health is intrinsically linked to a healthy diet, and much eye disease can be controlled by getting one’s diet under control as soon as possible, like, now.
  https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2019/07/14/meal-plan-to-prevent-macular-degeneration.aspx?utm_source=dnl&utm_medium=email&utm_content=art1&utm_campaign=20190714Z1&et_cid=DM301431&et_rid=662360361

“Dr. Chris Knobbe, an ophthalmologist, has written an excellent book — Ancestral Dietary Strategy to Prevent and Treat Macular Degeneration — which, like the title suggests, tells you how to address the most common cause of legal blindness in the United States. One of his heroes is Weston A. Price, the dentist who wrote the classic book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. I did not know this when I read Knobbe’s book, but it is very clear to me that Knobbe is the 21st century equivalent of Dr. Price. The difference is that Price focused on the teeth and general physical degenerative diseases, like arthritis and cancer, whereas Knobbe is concentrated on his specialty, the eyes. But their findings are nearly identical: Industrially processed food is the root of most chronic disease. The first chapter is available free of charge on cureamd.org, where you can also order the book. Knobbe says, “Ultimately … the next step I want to do is to … physically go out into the world and evaluate … the few niches around the world that are still consuming ancestral diets and analyze their macular degeneration,” he says. Still, without venturing into foreign lands, Knobbe has amassed a wealth of knowledge by sifting through the published research, and what he’s found is shocking. Physicians are taught that macular degeneration is an inevitable consequence of aging and genetics, primarily, and has always existed. This, it turns out, is an absolute untruth.

Fear Our AI Overlords By Brian Simpson

  https://www.ccn.com/tesla-cars-fire-not-good-way/

He is working on a project to merge human brains with AI. Whooaha, who gave him permission to do this? Why is this sort of research being permitted? Will the brains catch on fire too? Wait, it is science and technology, and thus part of the official religion of the West, or at least the  insane capitalism-impregnated West, and thus  beyond criticism:

A Good Time for Nihilists: Social Media is Ripping Society Apart By James Reed

Apart from ethno-racial conflict, which has always been with us, and which humanity, or at least Whites never seem to understand, going through these cycles of civilisation and collapse, there is the new variable of technology. Most people are so addicted to it, especially computers, social media and demonic things like that, that criticism of these institutions is unthinkable, heretical. Some, though are still thinking:
  https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/dec/11/facebook-former-executive-ripping-society-apart

“A former Facebook executive has said he feels “tremendous guilt” over his work on “tools that are ripping apart the social fabric of how society works”, joining a growing chorus of critics of the social media giant. Chamath Palihapitiya, who was vice-president for user growth at Facebook before he left the company in 2011, said: “The short-term, dopamine-driven feedback loops that we have created are destroying how society works. No civil discourse, no cooperation, misinformation, mistruth.” The remarks, which were made at a Stanford Business School event in November, were just surfaced by tech website the Verge on Monday. “This is not about Russian ads,” he added. “This is a global problem. It is eroding the core foundations of how people behave by and between each other.” Palihapitiya’s comments last month were made a day after Facebook’s founding president, Sean Parker, criticized the way that the company “exploit[s] a vulnerability in human psychology” by creating a “social-validation feedback loop” during an interview at an Axios event. Parker had said that he was “something of a conscientious objector” to using social media, a stance echoed by Palihapitiya who said that he was now hoping to use the money he made at Facebook to do good in the world. “I can’t control them,” Palihapitiya said of his former employer. “I can control my decision, which is that I don’t use that shit. I can control my kids’ decisions, which is that they’re not allowed to use that shit.” He also called on his audience to “soul-search” about their own relationship to social media. “Your behaviors, you don’t realize it, but you are being programmed,” he said. “It was unintentional, but now you gotta decide how much you’re going to give up, how much of your intellectual independence.”

Blueberries and High Blood Pressure By Mrs Vera West

Once more the usual health article caveat, that no medical or health advice is being offered, see a medical practitioner etc. etc. Now, to report some news, it has been claimed that blueberries are a delightful way of aiding in the problem of dealing with high blood pressure:
  https://life.spectator.co.uk/articles/eating-blueberries-can-help-lower-blood-pressure/

“Eating 200g of blueberries every day for a month can lead to an improvement in blood vessel function and a decrease in systolic blood pressure, according to a new study published in the Journal of Gerontology. Researchers from King’s College London studied 40 healthy volunteers for one month. They were randomly given either a drink containing 200g of blueberries, or a matched control drink daily. The team monitored chemicals in volunteers’ blood and urine as well as their blood pressure and flow-mediated dilation (FMD) of the brachial artery: a measure of how the artery widens when blood flow increases, which is considered a sensitive biomarker of cardiovascular disease risk. In a further study, researchers compared the effects of a blueberry drink with those of purified anthocyanins, a type of phytochemical responsible for the blue, red, pink and purple colour of some fruits and vegetables such as berries and red grapes. They also compared this with control drinks containing either similar levels of fibre, mineral or vitamins found in blueberries.

Exercise on the Brain By Mrs Vera West

In this series I have been presenting material on the health benefits of exercise, beyond the obvious cardio-vascular/heart benefits. Here is some more information about how exercise can help our brains, and I don’t know about you, but my brain needs all the help it can get:
  https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-07-13-why-exercise-is-good-for-brain-health-memory.html

“ An international study presented further evidence that irisin protects neurons in the brain from degeneration. It showed that the so-called “exercise-induced hormone” can improve memory in humans and mice.
First identified in 2012 by researchers from the Harvard Medical School, irisin is a messenger hormone that helps convert white fat into brown fat, which produces heat. It was named after Iris, the heavenly messenger of the gods in Greek mythology. Irisin levels increase whenever the body performs intense physical activities. Its discoverers believe that the hormone plays a significant role in the numerous health benefits enjoyed by the body during sessions of aerobic exercise. “Exercise can improve cognitive function and has been linked to the increased expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF),” explained Harvard researcher Christiane Wrann. (Related: Physical exercise reduces severity of Alzheimer’s symptoms.) Aerobic exercise induces the formation of neuroprotective irisin in the brains of mice. The new study took a three-pronged approach to investigate the role of irisin. In the first phase, the researchers acquired samples of cerebral tissue from human brain banks for analysis. Post-mortem tissue evaluations showed that irisin molecules travel to the hippocampus, the region of the brain responsible for storing memories. Furthermore, the brains of patients with Alzheimer’s disease have much lower concentrations of irisin in the hippocampus, which is a prime target of the neurodegenerative disease.

Fruit Juice and Cancer By Mrs Vera West

We have been told that fruit juice is good for one, packed with nutrients, compared to say, soda. But, is there is another perspective to this? What about the sugar content? Sure, its fructose, but is that necessarily better for one? Here are the results of a recent article from the British Medical Journal showing that fruit juice can increase cancer risk! As this claim is surprising I will not mess around with quoting newspapers, but go straight to the abstract, which is readable:
  https://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2019/07/10/two-glasses-fruit-juice-day-may-boost-cancer-risk-50-per-cent/?utm_source=amerika.org
  https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/jul/10/sugar-in-fruit-juice-may-raise-risk-of-cancer-study-finds
  https://www.bmj.com/content/366/bmj.l2408

“Abstract
Objective To assess the associations between the consumption of sugary drinks (such as sugar sweetened beverages and 100% fruit juices), artificially sweetened beverages, and the risk of cancer. Design Population based prospective cohort study. Setting and participants Overall, 101?257 participants aged 18 and over (mean age 42.2, SD 14.4; median follow-up time 5.1 years) from the French NutriNet-Santé cohort (2009-2017) were included. Consumptions of sugary drinks and artificially sweetened beverages were assessed by using repeated 24 hour dietary records, which were designed to register participants’ usual consumption for 3300 different food and beverage items. Main outcome measures Prospective associations between beverage consumption and the risk of overall, breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer were assessed by multi-adjusted Fine and Gray hazard models, accounting for competing risks. Subdistribution hazard ratios were computed. Results The consumption of sugary drinks was significantly associated with the risk of overall cancer (n=2193 cases, subdistribution hazard ratio for a 100mL/d increase 1.18, 95% confidence interval 1.10 to 1.27, P<0.0001) and breast cancer (693, 1.22, 1.07 to 1.39, P=0.004). The consumption of artificially sweetened beverages was not associated with the risk of cancer. In specific subanalyses, the consumption of 100% fruit juice was significantly associated with the risk of overall cancer (2193, 1.12, 1.03 to 1.23, P=0.007). Conclusions In this large prospective study, the consumption of sugary drinks was positively associated with the risk of overall cancer and breast cancer. 100% fruit juices were also positively associated with the risk of overall cancer. These results need replication in other large scale prospective studies. They suggest that sugary drinks, which are widely consumed in Western countries, might represent a modifiable risk factor for cancer prevention.”

An Animal Model for Our Zombie Times By Bruce Bennett

When scientists ae investigating drugs to treat a human disease, animal models are used, often mice. Here is a nice illustration of the plight of the West, with an animal model, metaphorical of course.
  https://www.livescience.com/51764-wasp-spider-zombies.html

“Like a mindless zombie controlled by a menacing overlord, the spider scampers back and forth, reinforcing its silky web. Not long from now, the subservient arachnid will be dead, its web transformed into a shelter for the spawn of the creature that once controlled it, according to a new study. No, this isn't science fiction; it's the somewhat terrifying (but very real) tale of the orb-weaving spider Cyclosa argenteoalba and the parasitic wasp Reclinervellus nielseni, two species that carry out a strange relationship in Hyogo prefecture, Japan. Together, the wasp and the spider provide a perfect example of host manipulation — an ecological process in which one species (the parasite) and its young (the parasitoids) manipulate the behaviors of another species (the host) to their advantage. … The parasitic wasp's ability to manipulate its host in such a specific and subtle way is not unique. In Costa Rica, another parasitic wasp, Hymenoepimecis argyraphaga, ups the horror by depositing its eggs inside of its host arachnid (Plesiometa argyra), which builds a cocoon-worthy web before being consumed from the inside out by larvae. And, in Brazil (as well as other countries), there are fungi that infect many species of ants, turning these insects into a host of zombies. The ants climb to the highest point they can find and then die as fungal stalks shoot through their skulls, dispersing the fungus' spores into the wind. In the case of the fungi-entranced ants, scientists know that the fungi actually release a cocktail of chemicals into the ants' brains, inducing them to do the fungi's bidding. But entomologists are still actively studying the ways that wasps and other insect parasites might control their hosts. Takasuka suspects that, in the case of R. nielseni and C. argenteoalba, the mechanism controlling the spider's web-strengthening preferences is somehow related to the hormone that is naturally released in the spider just before molting. This hormone is what motivates the spider to start building a resting nest. In the near future, Takasuka hopes to study the chemicals present in the larvae to determine how those chemicals might be related to the resting-web hormone and others.

Universal Income and Drugs By James Reed

Here is an insightful piece that puts an obvious case against universal income schemes, namely that the level of degeneracy and drug use is so high in America, and probably Australia, that if people were given any extra money, a sizable minority would explode the already pandemic drug problem:
  https://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2019/07/06/the-danger-of-a-universal-basic-income/

“The entire number of US soldiers killed in Afghanistan, from 2001 until today, is 3,568. The same figure for Iraq, starting in 2003, is 4,571. Together they are 8,139, or about one ninth of the total deaths from overdoses in 2017 alone. The total number of American casualties in the Vietnam War was 58,220, less than any two-year pairing of overdose deaths in the last decade. The enormity of this death toll is truly hard to fathom, but consider this comparison: the total overdose deaths for the most recent ten years we have numbers for is 471,935. The estimated population of Miami today is 470,914. And that’s just overdose deaths. It doesn’t take account of the crime committed by addicts to feed their habit, the broken families, the disastrous health consequences of habitual drug use, etc. In terms of numbers, then, what is going on today is a war, and it is a war that we are losing. Since 2012, the percent increase of overdose deaths has gone up nearly every year. From 2012 to 2013, fatal overdoses went up just shy of six percent. From 2013 to 2014, it went up just shy of seven percent. From 2014 to 2015, the increase was about 11.3 percent. From 2015 to 2016, the increase accelerated dramatically, to 21.4 percent. From 2016 to 2017, the increase leveled a bit, going up only ten percent. As such, the numbers for 2018 may be as low as 80,000. That’s an optimistic view, mind you.

“Pipe tobacco blends represent a different idea. They seek an order which transcends the ages, much as conservatives seek order generally where the Left seeks equality (individualism). You want to be able to smoke what your great-grandfather smoked, and pass it down to your grandson, because we know people and how we like our intoxicants, but in true time-honored form, have chosen the gentlest versions of these and made them excellent, like Royal Yacht. This shows us the nature of tradition. Step one is ego-death; you realize that you are simply a point in time along a long line, and that ultimately none of our concerns here matter that much. This helps, since you stop worrying about whether you got the right car or if your house is the best on the block. The big thing is to be part of something big. After that, you start to see the wisdom in order beyond the individual. You benefit most from a society that is stable and part of a thriving civilization, so that it carries on the things you enjoy and anything good that you do. If you make a stone river bridge in your hometown, it should be there for centuries or longer, as people fix and maintain it, keeping it alive just like the population around it, even as individual stones and humans drop out over time.

Big Sister Surveillance by Heart Beat By Brian Simpson

It is hard to keep up on how Big Sister is working to monitor us. Have you heard of heart beat surveillance? No? Well here is what you need to know:
  https://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/mass-surveillance-the-pentagon-can-now-id-you-by-your-heartbeat-with-a-laser_06272019

“As if we aren’t being tracked, recorded, and monitored enough, the Pentagon now has a laser that can identify a person by their heartbeat. Your heartbeat is going to be a lot harder to hide than your face… So, when is enough surveillance enough? Apparently, there’s no line the government can cross that will rile up the masses. We’ve got facial recognition in airports and schools, cars that can be unlocked just by looking at them, technology that can detect a person’s unique way of walking, and of course the ubiquitous fingerprint, used for everything from smartphones to event ticketing. Next on the agenda…Your heartbeat, according to an article written by Engadget. As MIT Technology Review reports, the Pentagon has developed a laser that can identify people from a distance by their heartbeat alone. The technology, known as Jetson, uses laser vibrometry to identify surface movement on the skin caused by a heartbeat, and it works from 200 meters away. Everyone’s cardiac signature is unique, and unlike faces and fingerprints, it can’t be altered in any way. As with facial recognition and other biometrics which rely on optimal conditions, though, Jetson does have a few challenges.

Censoring Alternative Health News By Mrs Vera West

Google has gone berserk, and after taking out conservative sites it is now targeting alternative health sites. Will its rage know no bans, so that in the end it censors itself? We are in the brave new world, far beyond 1984.  And, will the ending involve a neo-Luddite revolt of the enslaved, as occurs in any good dystopian film?
  https://www.technocracy.news/boom-google-crushes-traffic-to-mercola-com-by-99/

“Now, any time you enter a health-related search word into Google, such as “heart disease” or “Type 2 diabetes,” you will not find Mercola.com articles in the search results. The only way to locate any of my articles at this point is by searching for “Mercola.com heart disease,” or “Mercola.com Type 2 diabetes.” Even skipping the “.com” will minimize your search results, and oftentimes the only pages you’ll get are blogs, not my full peer-reviewed articles. Negative press by skeptics has also been upgraded, which means if you simply type in my name none of my articles will come but what you will find are a deluge of negative articles voicing critiques against me in your searches. Try entering my name in Yahoo or Bing and you will see completely different results. As explained by Telapost, a core update “is when Google makes several changes to their main (core) algorithm.” In the past, Google search results were based on crowdsource relevance. An article would ascend in rank based on the number of people who clicked on it. Traditionally, if you produced unique and high-quality content that matched what people were looking for, you were rewarded by ranking in the top of search results. You would find Mercola.com near the top of nearly any health search results.

Ice Age Now! Ha! I Told You So! By “Jammers” Reed

I am not a climate change denier. In fact, I am a radical climate change actionist! How so, Mr Crazy Person Reed? Well, I do not believe in global warming. I have always felt that a new ice age is approaching, or at least a period of great cold. As I type this on a freezing Melbournian day, my arthritis tells me that this is so, and that is more proof than most fanatics opposing me have. Also, the prostate … but we will not go there … it’s just too sad … imagine a rusty tap …
  https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-01/devastating-crop-losses-are-literally-happening-all-over-globe

“Let me warn you right up front – the information in this article might freak you out.  If what some experts are telling us is true, a global food crisis appears to be inevitable.  Even during good years, we have a really difficult time feeding everyone on the planet, and now a major climate shift appears to be happening.  Our sun has become exceedingly quiet, and many experts believe that this is a sign that a solar minimum is now upon us.  Of course, we have seen solar minimums happen quite regularly in the past, and if this is just a normal solar minimum then conditions should begin to return to normal after a couple of years.  Unfortunately, evidence continues to mount that we have entered what is known as a “grand solar minimum”.  In fact, Professor Valentina Zharkova says that what we are facing is a “super grand solar minimum”, and if that is true we are going to be facing climate chaos like we have never seen before.  During previous “grand solar minimums” the globe was gripped by devastating famines and vast numbers of people died.  Could a similar scenario potentially be in our future? Ice Age Farmer has compiled a “Grand Solar Minimum Crop Loss Map” which you can view right here, and I appreciate our friends at ANP for pointing it out to us.  Ice Age Farmer’s map shows that there are literally dozens of locations all over the globe right now that are reporting significant crop losses, and this is really unlike anything we have ever seen before.  Some parts of our planet are dealing with horrific drought, but in the middle of the United States it just won’t stop raining.  In some areas of the world it is too cold, while others are experiencing record heat.  Everywhere we look we see extremes, and the behavior of our sun is the primary reason this is happening.

Destroying Male Fertility By Mrs Vera West

There has been great concern, as far as that is now possible, about a study claiming that a fast food diet can irreversibility destroy the capacity of males to produce sperm, killing off sperm producing cells with things going down by the age of 18years:
  https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/06/24/mens-fertility-irreversibly-damaged-age-18-thanks-western-junk/

There is no link to the actual study, which apparently was a conference paper that has not yet appeared. Thus, questions such as whether obesity and fat consumption, and vitamin and mineral intake may not have been addressed, but probably the death of the sperm producing cells may have been due to the fact that junk food is ultra-poor nutrition anyway. There was material published in the previous news cycle about a junk foods diet causing shrinking of the brain:
