Immigrants Displacing Workers By Chris Knight

We do not get this sort of research done in Australia, since our academics almost totally conform to the politically correct catechisms of the present establishment, which accepts mass immigration as a matter of religious faith. But, there is critical deconstructions conducted in the US:
  https://vdare.com/articles/national-data-yes-virginia-it-s-a-national-emergency-out-of-control-immigration-massive-american-worker-displacement

“December’s jobs report, widely hailed because of strong employment growth, also revealed a massive immigration influx, far in excess of estimated legal inflow. And native-born American worker displacement remains close to record highs, continuing an Obama-Era trend that the Trump Administration has totally failed to break. The strong economy is muffling the impact. But what when the next cyclical downturn arrives? American worker replacements are entering the country in near-record numbers: the immigrant population of working age (16 years plus) increased by 1.439 million in December, the fifth consecutive month of 1 million+ growth. There are seasonal trends at work here, of course, so it is particularly alarming that the year-over-year increase this December was larger than in any December since 2008. With legal immigration running at about 1 million per annum, this figure implies a net illegal worker influx potentially in the hundreds of thousands. (In contrast, immigrant working age population actually shrank in the last five months of 2017 when the now-vanished “Trump Effect” seemed to be really taking hold.)”

Let’s End the Immigration Madness Forever! By James Reed

Here is something to support our great friends at the Reduce Immigration Write on campaign, which you must read about here:

“Soaring house prices and crowded cities have combined to convince a clear majority of Australians that the country’s immigration push must end. Just 30.4 per cent of Australians now believe the country needs more people, according to a poll conducted by the Australian National University (ANU). This was compared to 69.6 per cent who felt Australia did not need more people, a dramatic increase since a similar poll was done in 2010.
The collapse in support was most prominent among males with just 32.8 percent supporting a bigger Australia compared to 53.4 percent in the 2010 poll.”

The Return of Socialism … Did it Ever Go Away? By Chris Knight

After the mass deaths of about 100 million people from communism in the 20th century, after all the disasters that socialism has brought to South American countries like Venezuela, one would have thought that if the human primate had a grain of rationality, that socialism would have been junked long ago. Sure, they say that socialism works in the Scandinavian countries but this is only a game with words, since what we see are various grades of welfarism within the framework of capitalism, which may or may not work. Those pushing for socialism in America, want to go much further, and unfortunately, there are plenty of sheeple willing to see the institution of private property eliminated, or diluted:
  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/americans-warming-to-socialism-over-capitalism-polls-show?fbclid=IwAR0QFRjrXienkKk5wPV0JCVfA5inBVb5GT6xnwyO2x8HSS2E8atkeTMXNH0

“Politicians calling themselves "Democratic socialists" have made very-visible gains in the past year, with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joining Congress on Thursday and Sen. Bernie Sanders becoming a party icon with the status to bring policies like Medicare-for-all into the mainstream. But the trend goes well beyond those two, as polls show American voters across the country – in particular, young people and Democrats – increasingly warming to socialism over capitalism. The shift is a recent phenomenon, and reflects a dimming view of capitalism more than anything. Back in 2010, 68 percent of young people, 18-29 years old, said they approved of capitalism, while 51 percent said they approved of socialism, according to Gallup. Fast-forward to August 2018, and that same age group backs socialism over capitalism, 51 percent to 45 percent. Democrats, meanwhile, were evenly split between capitalism and socialism back in 2010. But now, 57 percent say they hold a positive view of socialism, compared with just 47 percent who say the same for capitalism. The trend extends to high school students, according to a YouGov poll released in November, which found 14-17-year-olds split 50-50 on whether socialism or capitalism is better. Americans as a whole, however, still prefer capitalism 56 percent to 37 percent.”

Feminist Divorce Laws and the Great Bonanza By Mrs Vera West

The big guy from Amazon, Bezo, is facing divorce which will clean him out of his hyper-wealth, meaning that he will only be stinking rich. He apparently did not have pre-nup, but when the stakes are in the multi-billions, anything can be got over. There is another woman involved, with hair like a raven. I hope she is worth it.

The New York Time’s Open Borders Fantasy By Charles Taylor

One of the few good things about the rise of Donald Trump, and the deplorable Trumpsters, is that it has forced the globalist open borders crowd to come out in the open and proclaim the truth of the bs they push for the profits of the capitalist superclass. The New York Times has come clean on this. Here is Farhad Manjoo on open borders for America:
  https://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2019/01/17/new-york-times-op-ed-urges-open-borders-let-them-in/
  https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/16/opinion/open-borders-immigration.html

“The internet expands the bounds of acceptable discourse, so ideas considered out of bounds not long ago now rocket toward widespread acceptability. See: cannabis legalization, government-run health care, white nationalism and, of course, the flat-earthers. Yet there’s one political shore that remains stubbornly beyond the horizon. It’s an idea almost nobody in mainstream politics will address, other than to hurl the label as a bloody cudgel. I’m talking about opening up America’s borders to everyone who wants to move here. Imagine not just opposing President Trump’s wall but also opposing the nation’s cruel and expensive immigration and border-security apparatus in its entirety. Imagine radically shifting our stance toward outsiders from one of suspicion to one of warm embrace. Imagine that if you passed a minimal background check, you’d be free to live, work, pay taxes and die in the United States. Imagine moving from Nigeria to Nebraska as freely as one might move from Massachusetts to Maine.

Globalise This: Yellow Vests! By James Reed

Next time I go into the cheap junk shop I will buy a yellow vest, and wear it proudly in the streets of Melbourne. Since the French yellow vest movement is now embracing both Left and Right, I don’t expect to be bashed up by antifa too quickly. Apparently there have been some recent fights, but Leftist members of the yellow vests had to stop and start punching themselves in the head. I wish. Anyway, the yellow vest protests are now going global, well, at least in Europe and Asia, and here is a neat summary, to ponder over a cup of herbal tea, or something stronger:
  https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-01-20/yellow-vest-movement-has-gone-worldwide

•    “Bulgaria: Yellow Vests began protesting the same weekend as the French movement - coming out in force on November 16 to protest in front of parliament and demand the resignation of the government.
•    Canada: Yellow Vest protests have taken place in more than a dozen cities across Canada - largely campaigning against the carbon price, Canada's participation in the UN's Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, the Trudeau administration and other issues.
•    Croatia: Croatians came out in force on December 15, gathering in Ban Jelacic Square.
•    Egypt: An Egyptian A lawyer was arrested and jailed for 15 days after he posted a picture of himself wearing a Yellow Vest in support of the French protests.
•    Finland: Finns came out in force in mid-December as well, gathering in front of Parliament in opposition to the UN's Global Migration pact.
•    Germany: Marching in solidarity with the French, German Yellow Vests similarly came out against the UN migration pact.
•    Iraq: Yellow Vests demonstrated in Basra, Iraq on December 5 to protest poor job opportunities among other things. They were reportedly fired upon with live ammunition by police.
•    Italy: There have been several ongoing Yellow Vest protests in Italy over the last several months, with some protesting the government's hard-line stance against illegal migrants, and other pro-government activists protesting against the EU. In January, Italy's ruling government came out in support of the Yellow Vest movement, which AFP noted was "extremely rare for European leaders to back anti-government protesters in a fellow member state."
•    Netherlands: The Dutch joined the party at the beginning of December, blocking roads, roundabouts and tollbooths.
•    Pakistan: Hundreds of engineers came out in December to protest government services and pay.
•    Poland: Polish Yellow Vests protested in November and December, blocking the A2 motorway outside of Warsaw, demanding compensation for pigs they were required to slaughter, as well as the import of unlabeled Ukrainian agricultural products.
•    Russia: Yellow Vests protested right before Christmas in Moscow's Hyde Park against increased parking fees. "I’m a driver with 20 years of experience, and I can understand that the authorities want to free the city and make it accessible to pedestrians," said resident Tamara Papuashvili, adding " it's just a disgrace. You can use the metro, but there are more and more people there, it just cannot cope."
•    Serbia: Civil rights organisation "Združena akcija Krov nad glavom" began using yellow vests in its protests to show solidarity with the French protesters, as well as opposition to high fuel prices. Serbians have protested for six weeks in a row.
•    Taiwan: The Tax and Legal Reform League which has been protesting against high taxes since 2016 organized a yellow vest march on December 19.
•    United Kingdom: UK Yellow Vests are mostly right wing, pro-Brexit groups who have held rallies in London and other UK cities.

Money for Mexico, But Not the Wall By Chris Knight

The present shutdown of the US government over the wall funding needs to be seen in the light of how the US spends its money, money that should go to national security. Thus, US $ 10.6 billion is going to South American countries as overseas aid. Beyond that, US $ 100 billion was secured for disaster relief over the past three years, but there is no money to deal with the immigration disaster. The reason is that the progressives want America to become non-white as fast as possible because these progressives are self-loathing racists, who benefit from a system that makes it ok to threaten to murder a white teenagers who smiles, on the pretence of “racism.” The system is tyrannical, and what is even more tyrannical is that it has been put up with for so long.

Israel Does Not Want More (Non-Jewish) Immigration, and Good for Them! By James Reed

Israelis do not want any more non-Jewish migrants, whether they are skilled or not:
  https://www.timesofisrael.com/most-israelis-dont-want-non-jewish-migrants-even-if-they-are-highly-skilled/

“The majority of Israelis don’t support non-Jewish immigration to the country, even when the immigrants are highly trained or have advanced degrees, according to a new Pew Research Center report released on Tuesday.
The Pew poll found that 51 percent of Israelis oppose high-skilled immigration of foreigners moving to the country with a bachelor’s degree or higher. The Pew poll focused on immigration of those not entitled to Israeli citizenship under the law of return, which applies to anybody with at least one Jewish grandparent.”

Why Don’t the Elites Vaccinate Their Children? By Mrs Vera West

The old saying is that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Thus, regarding vaccines, if they are so good, then we would expect the capitalist superclass to have taken them on-board for their children. Surprise, surprise:
  https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-01-22-bill-gates-and-the-worlds-elite-do-not-vaccinate-their-own-children.html

“Gates’ former private doctor from Seattle back in the 1990s said, “I don’t know if he had them vaccinated as adults, but I can tell you he point blank refused to vaccinate them as children.” We know this because the quote was taken from Gates’ doctor during a side note conversation at a medical symposium, which caused a small uproar among the attending physicians, who blasphemed Gates’ doctor for breaking rank with doctor-patient confidentiality (even though it’s a “gray area” because he was speaking to other doctors privately). Still, it was too late – the cat got out of the bag, and now the world knows the ultimate hypocrisy of the elite who radically and religiously push vaccines as the “holy grail” of medicine, all while they keep the same poisons out of their own children’s blood and muscle tissue, knowing good and well the high risk of side effects and adverse events far outweighs any possible benefits.

Collapse is Already Here By Paul Walker

     Writers here, usually at the end of an agony piece worrying about some enormous problem that is being neglected, wave their hands and mention collapse, be it the West, the World, or even the universe. Yet, a case has been made that collapse is already occurring, and is a process of decay, rather than a catastrophic event, like the collapse of a bridge. “Decay,” is probably a better word to describe the nature of the fall of the West;
  https://www.peakprosperity.com/blog/114741/collapse-already-here

“Collapse is already here. However, unlike Hollywood's vision, the early stages of collapse cause people to cling even tighter to the status quo. Instead of panic in the streets, we simply see more of the same -- as those in power do all they can to remain so, while the majority of the public attempts to ignore the growing problems for as long as it possibly can. For both the elite and the majority, their entire world view and their personal sense of self depends on things not crumbling all around them, so they remain willfully blind to any evidence to the contrary. When faced with the predicaments we warn about here at PeakProsperity.com, getting an early start on prudently shifting your own personal situation is of vital strategic and tactical importance. Tens of thousands of our readers already have taken wise steps in their lives to position themselves resiliently. But most of the majority won't get started until it’s entirely too late to make any difference at all. Which is sad but perhaps unavoidable, given human nature. If everybody around you is saying “Everything is awesome!” it can take a long time to determine for yourself that things in fact aren't:

Green Energy Vandals By Viv Forbes

For decades now we have watched green energy dreamers destroy Australia’s backbone industries. Their incessant attacks on hydro-carbon energy have vandalised our electricity grid, damaged heavy industry, bloated power costs and made blackouts inevitable. The last coal-fired power station built in Eastern Australia, the small Kogan Creek generator in Queensland, is now 12 years old. We should be building new coal-fired power stations on established coalfields near existing transmission lines. However Green worshippers prefer to scar the hills with wind towers, plaster the flatlands with solar panels, and waste money on spider-webs of new roads, transmission towers and power lines. Then when it becomes obvious that this ramshackle system will not produce reliable energy, they waste even more money on humungous lithium batteries, energy-wasting hydro pumped-storage, thumping diesel engines and “load shedding” (pc language for “power rationing”). Parroting tired and discredited climate alarm theories, they oppose any expansion of coal exploration, mining or power generation. They also impede gas exploration, timber-getting and fishing, and continually attack the grazing industries. No industry has escaped their lethal green shackles.  Who will rid us of these yokes?

Immigration Destroys Australian Workers’ Wages By James Reed

Remember the old argument against immigration, popular when the White Australia Policy was first fought for, that immigration acts to destroy Australian workers’ wages? Guess what? A chapter in a new book by A. Stewart (et al.),  The Wage Crisis in Australia, (2018), by Iain Campbell, “Temporary Migrant Workers (TMWs), Underpayment and Predatory business Models,” shows that Australia’s immigration system is undercutting the wages of Australian workers:
  https://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2018/11/australias-immigration-system-undercuts-australian-workers/

“This chapter argues that the expansion of temporary labour migration is a significant development in Australia and that it has implications for wage stagnation… Three main facts about their presence in Australia are relevant to the discussion of wage stagnation. First, there are large numbers of TMWs in Australia, currently around 1.2 million persons. Second, those numbers have increased strongly over the past 15 years. Third, when employed, many TMWs are subject to exploitation, including wage payments that fall below — sometimes well below — the minimum levels specified in employment regulation… One link to slow wages growth, as highlighted by orthodox economics, stems from the simple fact of increased numbers, which add to labour supply and thereby help to moderate wages growth. This chapter argues, however, that the more salient point concerns the way many TMWs are mistreated within the workplace in industry sectors such as food services, horticulture, construction, personal services and cleaning. TMW underpayments, which appear both widespread in these sectors and systemic, offer insights into labour market dynamics that are also relevant to the general problem of slow wages growth…

Must the Left be Globalist? By James Reed

The old Left, that which helped create the White Australia Policy, was anti-globalist, and nationalist. This Left was displaced by the 1960s revolution, which saw feminism and identity politics, filtered through cultural Marxism, arise. Yet, our enemies are not completely homogeneous, as an interesting article from the Left/socialist position by Angela Nagle, “The Left Case Against Open Borders,” details:
  https://americanaffairsjournal.org/2018/11/the-left-case-against-open-borders/

“The transformation of open borders into a “Left” position is a very new phenomenon and runs counter to the history of the organized Left in fundamental ways. Open borders has long been a rallying cry of the business and free market Right. Drawing from neoclassical economists, these groups have advocated for liberalizing migration on the grounds of market rationality and economic freedom. They oppose limits on migration for the same reasons that they oppose restrictions on the movement of capital. The Koch-funded Cato Institute, which also advocates lifting legal restrictions on child labor, has churned out radical open borders advocacy for decades, arguing that support for open borders is a fundamental tenet of libertarianism, and “Forget the wall already, it’s time for the U.S. to have open borders.” The Adam Smith Institute has done much the same, arguing that “Immigration restrictions make us poorer.”

As An Engine Needs Fuel. .... So An Economy Needs Money By Peter Davis

It is a sad fact very few people have any comprehension of how our "money supply" is created. Nor, its importance to a functioning National economy and the power exerted by those who control its flow into our economy. The objective of this brief paper is to try and convey those three criteria; How our money is created; its rate of distribution; and the control exerted by the private Reserve Banking system.

In terms of simplicity, an internal combustion engine, together with its fuel supply, is an excellent illustration of how money functions in an economy ... Let us accept we possess an engine and we have some fuel. Providing we supply fuel in the correct air /fuel ratio the engine will run, thus performing our desired task. By increasing or decreasing the rate of flow of fuel/air we control the work performed, {the speed} of our engine; or, indeed, we stop the engine by turning off the flow of fuel.

Life in the Amazon Jungle By Brian Simpson

Wow, I had a bad feeling every time I got a book from Amazon, that people must be working in cages like beasts. No, that is optimistic, because presumably even in a cage one can still, in the worst case, do one’s business as my mother used to say, however messy. But, at Amazon you better wear a nappy, and be snappy, and happy:
  https://www.theverge.com/2018/4/16/17243026/amazon-warehouse-jobs-worker-conditions-bathroom-breaks

“Amazon warehouse workers are forced to pee in bottles or forego their bathroom breaks entirely because fulfillment demands are too high, according to journalist James Bloodworth, who went undercover as an Amazon worker for his book, Hired: Six Months Undercover in Low-Wage Britain. Targets have reportedly increased exponentially, workers say in a new survey revealed over the weekend, and as result, they feel pressured and stressed to meet the new goals. Workers who pick up products for delivery at a warehouse in Staffordshire, UK use bottles instead of the actual toilet, which is located too far away, Bloodworth reported. They are afraid of being disciplined for idling and losing their jobs as a result, he added. Bloodworth told The Sun in an interview that the warehouse resembled a prison or an airport, with high security scanners that check workers for banned items like hoodies, sunglasses, and phones, and other employees who pat down workers to check for stolen goods.

Old George does Not Like Old Borders By Richard Miller

Just in case anyone thinks that we are running a George Soros conspiracy line, proof has emerged that he has had his wrinkly fingers deep in the migrant crisis:
  https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2015/11/02/soros-admits-involvement-in-migrant-crisis-national-borders-are-the-obstacle/

“Billionaire investor George Soros has confirmed he wants to bring down Europe’s borders, following the accusation made last week by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Last week, Mr Orban accused Mr Soros – who was born in Hungary – of deliberately encouraging the migrant crisis. “This invasion is driven, on the one hand, by people smugglers, and on the other by those (human rights) activists who support everything that weakens the nation-state,” Mr Orban said. Mr Soros has now issued an email statement to Bloomberg Business, claiming his foundations help “uphold European values”, while Mr Oban’s actions in strengthening the Hungarian border and stopping a huge migrant influx “undermine those values.” “His plan treats the protection of national borders as the objective and the refugees as an obstacle,” Mr Soros added. “Our plan treats the protection of refugees as the objective and national borders as the obstacle.”

Universities Helping China, on Your Tax Dollars! By James Reed

Smash the Paris Shackles By Viv Forbes

A new lobby has called for Australia to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. Calling itself “The Saltbush Club” the group includes top scientists and engineers covering every aspect of the global warming/energy debate, as well as representatives from small business, big business, farmers and consumers. It challenges the whole idea of a consensus on man-made global warming, condemns the unjustified demonization of CO2 and denounces the baseless war on coal. Australia’s push to meet the Paris carbon dioxide emission targets is leading to higher electricity prices and unreliable supply. People think the Paris Accord is just about commitments to lower CO2. It is really about transferring wealth via the sticky-fingered UN to the so-called Less Developed Countries. It’s about advancing centralised UN control of people’s lives on a global scale. We must reject the UN Agenda which is crippling western industry with high-cost unreliable electricity, in a futile attempt to control global climate.

Migrants lie? How is That Even Possible? By James Reed

Thanks to Denis who forwarded this incredible story, from a site I had not heard of, which does not mean much because I have not heard of very much at all in this large and diverse, culturally rich world. Like lying migrants for example, who in the wildest stretch of their imagination, would even contemplate that migrants, who are all rocket scientists, if given half a chance, would lie?
  https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/11/ngo-caught-on-camera-admitting-they-teach-migrants-to-lie-and-act-the-part-of-the-refugee-in-trauma/

“Documentary film-makers Lauren Southern and Caolan Robertson have released shocking new recordings in which the director of a major NGO in Europe told their undercover team how she teaches migrants to lie and pretend to be persecuted Christians to border police. Ariel Ricker, Executive Director of Advocates Abroad, was caught in the recordings admitting that the asylum process is simply theatre. “This is all like a big theatre production, everyone has a part to play and a refugee has to act the part of the refugee in trauma for the interviewers, but it is extremely difficult to do this because unless they are taught how to be this character, this actor, then they go about it usually the opposite way,” Ricker says. Ricker’s NGO, Advocates Abroad, provides legal aid to refugees and migrants seeking asylum in Europe. They have 380 staff members that are primarily involved in preparing refugees and migrants for their asylum interviews. In 2017, they worked with over 15,000 refugees. Southern’s team points out that they also recently campaigned with 12 British MPs to raise $100,000 in donations. In the shocking undercover video, Ricker also admits to teaching the migrants how to cry, to “act the part” of the “refugee in trauma” and even throw up to show extreme emotion.

Splitting Up Evil Big Tech By Brian Simpson

With deplatforming and shutting down sites where there is media content that the System does not like, the call has gone out that there not merely should be regulation of Big Tech, but that these monopolies are so large that they are a danger to what remains of democratic institutions. And that is not just us, who face this threat, but the founder of the internet:

  https://www.reuters.com/article/us-technology-www/father-of-web-says-tech-giants-may-have-to-be-split-up-idUSKCN1N63MV

“Silicon Valley technology giants such as Facebook and Google have grown so dominant they may need to be broken up, unless challengers or changes in taste reduce their clout, the inventor of the World Wide Web told Reuters. The digital revolution has spawned a handful of U.S.-based technology companies since the 1990s that now have a combined financial and cultural power greater than most sovereign states. Tim Berners-Lee, a London-born computer scientist who invented the Web in 1989, said he was disappointed with the current state of the internet, following scandals over the abuse of personal data and the use of social media to spread hate. “What naturally happens is you end up with one company dominating the field so through history there is no alternative to really coming in and breaking things up,” Berners-Lee, 63, said in an interview. “There is a danger of concentration.”
