     I was watching an episode of Cobra Kai with my granddaughter, this TV show being a karate soap opera for teens, when there was a presumably lesbian kissing scene dropped into the film, with no character development, gratuitously put in. Even heterosexual activities have some context, but this was characters that were dropped into the story with no development, purely to give a gay focus.      When the majority of diverse Australia voted for the same sex marriage proposal, I found myself totally disillusioned and unable to write for some weeks, due to a depression-related collapse.
