The Great Cartoon Non Event By Mrs Vera West

The great cartoon controversy has gone international.  A cartoon was published by The Herald Sun of tennis great Serena Williams, who had something of a meltdown following a dispute with a chair umpire in the US Open final. Personally, I am on Serena’s side on this, but I respect that most readers would disagree. The catoon was said to have “racist” overtones by depicting Serena in an unflattering light. The newspaper has stood by its cartoonist and on a recent front page partially republished the cartoon, under the headline, “Welcome to the PC World.”

The issue here relates to the cartoon, which like all cartoons uses caricatures. Cartoonists are savage by nature, and I don’t think race comes into it. Just look at how Julia Gillard was treated. You would think that all she was a backside. In general, women get a poor treatment by male cartoonists, who satirise their sexuality, but then again, everybody is fair game. It is just the price of free speech, and sometimes those on the receiving end, who are in the public eye simply have to suck it up. Let it go Serena, get back into training for next season.

Letter to The Editor - Why is it that there is no reporting of the Ursula Haverbeck

To The Australian    Why is it that there is no reporting of the Ursula Haverbeck case in our major public forums? Should not our advocates for free speech be clamouring in protest at Germany's treatment of an 89 year-old woman - put in jail purely because she publicly expresses a dissident view about history? And what about all those bleeding hearts opposed to the bullying of women? Should they not be expressing outrage against the pre-trial treatment of Haverbeck by the German government? She was to be transported 155 miles from prison to courthouse, stopping at five different prisons for a night on the way. She would travel in a crowded prison van and be submitted to a body search at each arrival. She would share her prison cell each night with real criminals. All this, presumably, to weaken her before her trial in Hamburg. There is a huge story here. Why the silence?

The Universities and the Fall By James Reed

Here is one for my Christian brothers and sisters, whom as yet may not have exactly the same level of concern,  I have about the universities. The issue here is that a Christian influence upon contemporary universities, at least elite Ivy League American ones, seems to have drained away, and I think Australia is not far behind, so to speak:

“Queer freshmen greatly outnumber conservatives at the university, according to a survey. A Yale Daily News survey of freshmen students at that university found that more students of the class of 2022 identify on the LGBTQ spectrum than as conservative, and that queer freshmen even outnumber other sizable demographics in the class, such as Protestants and Catholics. The paper’s survey, the results of which are composed of 864 respondents, or just over one-half of the freshman class, found that only nine percent of respondents identified as “somewhat conservative,” with one percent identifying as “very conservative.” LGBTQ respondents, on the other hand, greatly outnumberd conservatives in total: According to the survey, “nearly 5 percent [of respondents] identify as gay and just over 9 percent as bisexual or transsexual. Three percent opted not to answer, and the remaining 8 percent identified as asexual, ace spectrum or questioning their sexual orientation.” This combined demographic outnumbers even Protestants and Catholics, whom the survey identified as 16 percent and 15 percent of the incoming class, respectively. A 2018 Gallup poll estimated that 4.5 percent of all Americans identified as LGBTQ.”

Promoting Morbid Obesity By Mrs Vera West

I am perhaps not a good one to criticise body images, being overweight myself, one being ancient, and two, having severe arthritis which limits my mobility. But, I can still make health observations for young women. And, the present cult of accepting being morbidly obsese is a killer for young women, and men too. Positive body image may involve rejecting being model thin, but it does not mean accepting being morbidly obese. Magazines are not helping here:

“Cosmo U.K. just featured a size-26 model on the cover of their latest issue. While feminists and so-called body positivity activists are celebrating the fact that a 300-pound woman got to be on the cover of a popular magazine, many people are concerned about what kind of message this “activism” is really sending. No one would argue that body shaming is wrong, but is fat activism really the answer? Obesity is a top risk factor for virtually every major disease that plagues modern society: Heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and even cancer. Promoting healthy minds and bodies is not the same as promoting obesity, which is already rampant in most Western nations like the United States and the United Kingdom. Critics have been quick to point out the disparity between the two and have lambasted Cosmo U.K. for promoting unhealthy lifestyle choices.”

Banning Everything By Peter Ewer

The internet bans by Big Tech have been extended to the next frontier, after the race/immigration/Trump area, to now include life style material which may in some way offend feminists. There is no end to this because the tyrants are on a roll now. Trump sits and stares, like a bunny in a spotlight, waiting for his end via impeachment, to end his misery.

Amazon has removed 9 of my books from sale, including my newest book Game, which was ranking in the top 1000. They won't tell me the specific reason. Many of the books were on sale for 5+ years. @CreateSpace & @AmazonKDP: can you tell me why the books have been removed?

Medicalising Female Circumcision By Mrs Vera West

When the champions of diversity and mass immigration’s virtues speak, they do not discuss hard case, inconvenient issues such a female genital circumcision. If all cultures are equal, except our own which is racist and must be eliminated, then what possible reason is there against this practice? If diversity and multiculturalism decide all, then it seems decisive:

“A number of Sri Lankan Muslim groups have called on the government to medicalise female circumcision. In representations made to the Parliamentary Committee on Women and Gender, members of the All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama, All Ceylon YMMA Conference, Centre for Islamic Studies and United Religions Initiative urged the Health Ministry to withdraw a recent circular prohibiting medical professionals from carrying out female circumcision. In their submission, the joint Muslim groups stated that the Muslim community is very concerned about moves to ban this obligatory Islamic duty on the grounds that it is Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). “We wish to categorically state that the practice of female circumcision is an obligatory Islamic duty, that it confers numerous benefits and is not Female Genital Mutilation. As such we condemn all moves to ban the practice of female circumcision by legislation and/ or by government bodies and urge that no moves be taken in this direction which we will regard as an unwarranted intrusion on and infringement of our religious duties guaranteed by the law and constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka”, the Muslim representatives said in their submission. “We also request the Ministry of Health to withdraw a recent circular it issued prohibiting medical practitioners from performing the procedure and to issue a fresh circular excluding Islamic female circumcision a.k.a hoodectomy from the definition of FGM”

Diversity is Our (No, Their) Strength By Chris Knight

It is good to see some baby steps being made by more mainstream sources in thinking critically about the ideology of diversity. Here is Fox News’ Tucker Carlson beginning the questioning process:

“CARLSON: They’ve talked a lot about norms, called a lot of people racist, and tried to make anyone who disagrees with them shut up. And, of course, they’ve lectured us endlessly about something called diversity as if that answers some relevant question. OBAMA: Our diversity, our patchwork heritage, is not a weakness. It is still and always will be one of our greatest strengths. BERNARD SANDERS, POLITICIAN, JUNIOR UNITED STATES SENATOR, VERMONT: Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. HILLARY CLINTON, FORMER FIRST LADY OF THE UNITED STATES, AMERICAN POLITICIAN AND DIPLOMAT: We know our diversity is a strength, not a weakness. CARLSON: Well they all agree on that. It’s hard to know exactly what it means though other than stop talking or else. We won’t stop talking.

The Gulags are Coming By Bruce Bennett

The commos love the good old days when enemies of the commo state were rounded up, and put in gulags to be worked to death. The commos have not done any real work in their lives, so the thought of watching others do it, is a kind of labour porno, I suppose, pardon the French:

“A leftist student group defended Stalin’s Gulag labour camps Tuesday, calling them more “compassionate” than the “western, capitalist notion of prison”. The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Plus Society at London’s Goldsmiths University suggested people who question transgenderism are sent to such camps, for up to ten years, for “re-education”. “The ideas of [Trans exclusive radical feminists] and anti-Trans bigots literally *kill* and must be eradicated through re-education,” the student group wrote on Twitter before deleting their account. When Claire Graham, a special education needs teacher, asked if their attempts to silence a list of academics who questioned transgenderism was “a bit fascist”, the account replied: “Na, we’ll just arrange to send you to the Gulag.”

Marvel’s Next Level of Political Correctness By Chris Knight

It was only a matter of time. Marvel back in the 1960s worked on getting politically correct themes into the comics of the day. Now, way down the track, it is full speed ahead:

“Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington ripped Marvel Studios, saying gay people suffer from a lack of representation in the film company’s superhero movies. “There’s a big problem with masculinity and homosexuality that they can’t somehow go hand in hand,” Harington said in an interview with Variety at the Toronto International Film Festival. “That we can’t have someone in a Marvel movie who’s gay in real life and plays some superhero. I mean, when is that going to happen?” Yet in an interview with The Playlist, Marvel president Kevin Feige confirmed that the studio was planning to include openly LGBT characters for future films.”

Canada’s Idi Amin By Charles Taylor

Freedom disappears daily in the West, now. Take Canada for example, where Trudeau is becoming, some such as Jack Engelhard say, as tyrannical as former African dictator Idi Amin (remember him?)

“The doors were mostly closed. Now they are wide open. In Canada. Under Justin Trudeau. For Muslims. Say a word about that and Trudeau will call you a racist, as happened to a woman in Quebec. She was immediately surrounded by tall men when she asked if tax dollars going to migrants would ever be returned to Canadian citizens. Trudeau swiftly clamped her down, as bigoted, for daring to bring up an issue about his favorite people.
Where did she think she was – in a free country? Trudeau, fast becoming Canada’s Idi Amin, might have you arrested if you depart from his policies. These policies include funds for Muslim rallies where imams call for the murder of all Jews. Yes, that’s in broad daylight…in Canada…run by Liberals… and kudos to Parliamentarian Candice Bergen for her courage to speak up in front of Canada’s golden boy tyrant in Ottawa.

Now Milk is Racist, What Next, Marxist Textbooks? By James Reed

Well here it is, my crazy story torn from the insane pages of academia for this week. Did you know that milk, the stuff that you have on your cornflakes each morning, is … is … racist!

“A professor at George Washington University Law School argued that milk is a tool of “white supremacy.” “Sociologist Professor E. Melanie Dupuis has studied the historical links between milk-drinking and manifestations of white supremacy in society,” George Washington University Law School Legal Writing Professor Iselin Gambert writes in a new research paper of the supposedly nefarious consequences of milk-drinking on American society. According to Gambert, milk is a “symbol and tool” of “white dominance and superiority.” Milk is one of the most ubiquitous and heavily regulated substances on the planet – and perhaps one of the most contested. It is tied closely to notions of purity, health, and femininity, and is seen as so central to human civilization that our own galaxy – the Milky Way – is named after it. But despite its wholesome reputation, milk has long had a sinister side, being bound up with the exploitation of the (human and nonhuman) bodies it comes from and being a symbol of and tool for white dominance and superiority. The word itself, in verb form, means “to exploit.” It is also a word at the center of a decades-old, multinational battle taking place in courthouses, the halls of congress, on social media, and in the streets."

Politicians again show “Real Genius” By Viv Forbes

Back in the chaotic dying days of the Whitlam-Cairns-Connor government, Canberra was buzzing with Rex Connor’s grand plans for a national energy grid and gas pipelines linking the NW Shelf to the capital cities, all to be funded by massive foreign loans arranged by a mysterious Pakistani named Khemlani. Malcolm Frazer staged a parliamentary revolt. The economy slumped. A British observer at the time noted “Any fool can bugger up Britain but it takes real genius to bugger up Australia.” Australian politicians are again showing real genius. Now, we have incredible tri-partisan plans to cover the continent with a spider-web of  transmission lines connecting wind/solar “farms” sending piddling amounts of intermittent power to distant consumers and to expensive battery and hydro backups - all funded by electricity consumers, tax-assisted speculators and foreign debt.

We are the world’s biggest coal exporter but have not built a big coal-fired power station for 11 years. We have massive deposits of uranium but 100% of this energy is either exported, or sterilised by the Giant Rainbow Serpent, or blocked by the Green-anti’s. Australia suffers recurrent droughts but has not built a major water supply dam for about 40 years, and the average age of our hydro-electric plants is 48 years. And when the floods do come, desperate farmers watch as years of rain water rush past to irrigate distant oceans. Once, Australia was a world leader in exploration and drilling – it is now a world leader in legalism, red tape and environmental obstructionism. Once, Canberra and the states encouraged oil and gas exploration with geological mapping and research - now they restrict land access and limit exports. Once, Australia was a world leader in refining metals and petroleum - now our expensive unreliable electricity and green tape are driving these industries and their jobs overseas.

Testosterone and Socialism By John Steele

Testosterone levels are falling like lead bricks dropped from the sky … well, almost:

“A new study has found a “substantial” drop in U.S. men’s testosterone levels since the 1980s, but the reasons for the decline remain unclear. This trend also does not appear to be related to age. The average levels of the male hormone dropped by 1 percent a year, Dr. Thomas Travison and colleagues from the New England Research Institutes in Watertown, Massachusetts, found. This means that, for example, a 65-year-old man in 2002 would have testosterone levels 15 percent lower than those of a 65-year-old in 1987. This also means that a greater proportion of men in 2002 would have had below-normal testosterone levels than in 1987.”

Ban Men, and Guns! By John Steele

I have said this before; gun banning is really a form of symbolic castration, and will ultimately lead, in the mad bad world of lunatic liberalism, to banning men, or what remains of them:

“Speaking of authoritarianism, The Mary Sue features a Leftist’s most recent plan to neuter the Second by banning the biggest user group of firearms: Men. Literally. It gets even better. The arbiter of this craziness admits she isn’t even from the United States (her after-story bio says she lives in the U.K.): While some of these men may have had mental health issues, as is often discussed in the aftermath, all of these men exemplify toxic masculinity—just think of how many of them also have a history of domestic violence. Indeed, I believe that most terror attacks are influenced in some way by it, and we are greatly underestimating the threat it still poses. If you gather from that nonsense that “all men are terrorists or at least terrorists in waiting,” you’re perceptive. That appears to be the general sentiment. It gets better, though. Not long after that passage, the writer – who is complaining about violence caused by “toxic masculinity” – writes this gem:

Senator Feinstein and the Law By Ian Wilson LL.B

Gun controlling Senator Dianne Feinstein has said that President Trump has obstructed justice:

“Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said that based on former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen’s statements, President Donald Trump obstructed justice. Feinstein said, “If I understand what Mr. Cohen has said, the president directed him to essentially commit a felony, and that’s obstruction of justice. So we’re going to have to wait and see.” Feinstein was referring to Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen pleading guilty to campaign finance violations. Cohen testified earlier this month that during the 2016 presidential election Trump directed him to pay for the silence of two women who claim they had affairs with Trump."

California Trumps Even Our Universities! By Mrs Vera West

Here in Australia the femocrats are just getting started on pushing for greater numbers of women in top corporate jobs. Yes, the elites may have thought that political correctness was for others, but not themselves, but they sure have got that one wrong, just ask Julia Gillard:

Once again, Kalifornication is showing the West where this will go:

BBC Drops Wise White Men Seeks New Ways of Imparting Propaganda … eh… Knowledge By Richard Miller

     The ever politically correct BBC, just like our ABC, where the “C” stands for “communist,” is dropping programs where white males impart knowledge;

“The era of TV shows in which white males impart information on a subject is dead, a top BBC executive has said, stating the corporation must find “different ways” of bringing expert insight and knowledge to audiences in future. BBC Four editor Cassian Harrison, an upper middle-class white male, told the Edinburgh Television Festival that people are no longer interested in “static” television programmes featuring a white male presenter talking about a topic, The Times reports. “There’s a mode of programming that involves a presenter, usually white, middle-aged and male, standing on a hill and ‘telling you like it is’. We all recognise the era of that has passed.”

France Normalises Paedophilia By Mrs Vera West

I have been saying for some time that with regards to the gender agenda, the next horizon will be undermining the taboo on paedophilia. The chattering class in America, and most probably here too, seem to get off on underage sex, and media sites, even somewhat mainstream, often report on the latest scandal. France may well be a testing ground for what is to come next, for the elites never rest, their sole reason for being is to completely dissolve tradition society:

“President Macron’s government has voted against having an age of consent in France, becoming the latest nation to give in to pressure from an international network of liberal activists determined to normalize pedophilia and decriminalize sex with children across the world. Federal law in France now has no legal age of consent, meaning adults who have sex with children of any age will not be prosecuted for rape if the child victim is unable to prove “violence, threat, duress, or surprise.” The draft bill against sexual and gender-based violence, known as the Schiappa law, was signed into law by the French Parliament on 3 August, sparking outrage in France as parents and children’s rights groups accuse Emmanuel Macron’s government of betraying the nation’s children. The lack of an age of consent places millions of children in serious danger of sexual abuse in France, according to child protection officials. Childrens’ rights groups criticised Emmanuel Macron’s government for failing to provide a legal age of consent to protect children, pointing to the recent decision by French courts to refuse to prosecute two pedophiles for the rape of 11-year-old girls because authorities couldn’t prove the children did not consent.”

Immigration Means that Slaves Now Live with (Former) Slave Owners By Richard Miller

Immigration, they say, bring people together, including, it seems, slaves and former slave owners:

“A former Yazidi sex slave came face-to-face with her ISIS captor after escaping captivity to flee to Germany but was told that police could do nothing because he was a refugee, it has been claimed. Ashwaq Ta’lo was kidnapped by ISIS in August 2014, aged 15, and was kept in captivity by the jihadist man for three months but escaped and made her way to Europe. Speaking in a Facebook video, she said she had seen the man, Abu Humam, in 2016 and then again earlier this year in Schwäbisch Gmünd in south-western Germany. She told police and asylum officials about the encounter and although they identified the man from CCTV they said there was nothing they could do because the man was also registered as a refugee, The Times reports.”

The Case Against the Anti-Pope Deepens By Peter West

I previously covered the story that the present Pope is likely to have let sexual abuse float by his window, so to speak. But, it has been noticed, and now corroborated by a former Vatican official:

“A monsignor who worked at the apostolic nunciature to the United States has corroborated an explosive report accusing Pope Francis of rehabilitating Cardinal Theodore McCarrick despite knowing of his record of homosexual abuse of priests and seminarians. Contacted by the Catholic News Agency (CNA), Monsignor Jean-François Lantheaume, the former first counselor at the apostolic nunciature in Washington D.C., declined to give an interview, but affirmed the veracity of the report by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò. “Viganò said the truth. That’s all,” he wrote to CNA. In a written 11-page “testimony” published Saturday, the Vatican’s former ambassador to the United States said that Pope Francis had reinstating Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to a position of prominence despite direct knowledge of McCarrick’s sexual abuse.
