Here is an amusing tale from the crazy sagas of US universities. While many students struggle to think up excuses for late assignments, one professor found out the hard way that urging a student to get work in on time can lead to said professor coming unstuck. After all, who needs workers to do things on time anyway? Tomorrow, or even next year, will be good enough. It will get done when it gets done is the new Protestant, no, multicult, work ethic.
How this organisation has fallen from the days of Eliot Ness and the Untouchables! The case is being made on a number of sites that the FBI is now irreparably corrupt, and must be closed down. Trump should have done this when he was in power and could have, but just let them attack him, as if he was a human punching bag, full of cheese burgers and inflated ego.

Both Gibraltar and Iceland have high vaccination rates, levels Australia can only dream about at the moment, but oddly enough, Covid cases are on the rise. I guess that shows that the vaccines must be working, as I read in one mainstream article, but some disagree:
Covid Beijing Biden is going hard-line on getting Americans vaccinated, but has Border Control, or should that be, Lack-of-Control, processing illegal aliens into the country. Thus, some Covid infected illegals turned up at La Joya, Texas, first at a burger joint, probably wanting a Covid cheese burger, then to local hotel that had been completely booked by Catholic Charities to house illegal aliens, which should now be called, the House of the Rising Covid, or something to the effect. America just wants to die.

When Nancy Pelosi called House GOP minority leader Kevin McCarthy a “moron” for saying he opposes the new mask mandate (even for fully vaccinated people), she said that this was because of science, and she repeated the word numerous times to make her point. But, how much of this allege “science” does she know? The Leftist media never challenge her, so she is free to bs to her heart's content.
Many famous web people are proclaiming that a global extinction event is approaching. People have spoken of the apocalypse since Noah was a boy, but, sometimes it does hit the fan, often burying the fan. So, it is worthwhile to pour a cup of coffee, grab maybe a blueberry muffin, or six, with jam and cream, and contemplate this with good old Mike. I saw him on with Alex Jones, and the high energy apocalypse frenzy was almost too much for me, and I had to have a rest on the couch, not even bothering to shift the potatoes.
As regular as Old Faithful … I am not exactly sure what that is, probably some volcano or geyser … here is data released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). It showed that total reports of serious injuries following COVID vaccination, across all age groups, increased by 14,717 to 63,000 compared with the previous week.
The debate about re-masking, even after a mass vaccination of Americans, is causing controversy. The CDC wants even those vaccinated to wear masks, and many who are vaccinated are now asking, but if the vaccine works, why do I need to wear a mask? Here is the take on this by Breitbart.com.

Having solved the Queensland balcony crisis, let us turn to another important issue. There is a growing concern about the mental health aspects of the Covid crisis, not just lockdowns, but with the stress associated with a disruption to life styles. Thus, I wonder how society will cope in the future when many more of these pandemics occur, some released from leaking labs, some open bioweapon attacks, and still others, the revenge of Mother Nature, and all dwarfing Covid in their effects? I have a feeling that things are going medieval, if not new Dark Age. Anyway, we have enough problems to deal with for the time, so I suggest that crises take a ticket, and wait their turn in the disaster line. Say, how about a genetically engineered neo-vaccine to deal with mental health issues, maybe one full of nanobots, to rewire neural circuits? I will email my mate at the Gates, Bill, and see what he thinks. I am sure he and the boys could whip something up in record, if not warp speed, time. It could be tested on Joe Birdman Biden.
There is presently a debate about whether lockdowns are saving more lives than such lockdowns cost. The debate, of course, is not in the political arena, but on the internet, the last fleeting area of freedom. Here today are some of the latest material dealing with this issue. As is becoming the convention here now because of radical activist and agitators breaking lockdown laws, there is the disclaimer that mere analysis of the lockdown issue in no way implies that anyone should break the law in their jurisdiction. That will, of course, lead to prosecution, and as well things are tense enough now in what was once quiet Oz, so people should not make things worse. That said, here we go in the first of this run of articles. As far as I am aware, public policy debate about this issue has not yet been made illegal.
I wear a face mask in appropriate circumstances because it is required by law here, and if you are legally required to do so, you should too, and you should not break the law under any circumstances. However, your mind should remain free to critically examine these sorts of public policies, because that is what a democracy, unlike a technocrat dictatorship, is all about. So, keep legal, always, but keep thinking too.
I do not claim that the following material is necessarily correct, only that these sorts of claims are part of the international debate occurring about Covid-19 face masks, and we should be aware of what is being debated. Otherwise we are just in an intellectual backwater.
We at the League always oppose people undertaking illegal acts. The law is best changed by legal, rational means rather than by the violent confrontations of the Left, who seem to control protests. Thus, it is good to see Clive Palmer set to launch a High Court action against the prosed vaccination passport. Whether Palmer is right about the passport being unconstitutional is a controversial and fascinating question, as is the additional one about whether or not it violates international conventions. I would very much like to see a legal answer to these questions. Far better than agitators going out on the street, breaking lockdown and causing more trouble. And, ultimately resulting in even longer lockdowns!
A research team used MRI data to measure the effects of circumcision upon the baby’s brain. It was found that substantial trauma to the baby occurred, the greatest changes occurred in the limbic system concentrating in the amygdala and in the frontal and temporal lobes. Circumcision affected the parts of the baby’s brain associated with reasoning, perception and emotion, which would never return to the baseline configuration. Not good indeed, and it constitutes one more piece of evidence against circumcision as routine practice. However, if parents of a Judaic faith choose this age-old practice, I believe that religious freedom and liberty should permit it. There are no good non-religious arguments for circumcision.
I have reported on the fears expressed by commentators in other countries, that the great divide between the vaccinated and unvaccinated could lead to a type of medical apartheid society. Australia could be on the road to something along these lines, as ScoMo has said to a meeting of voters from the Cook electorate in Sydney, that there could be restrictions. The unvaccinated may be kept out of pubs and restaurants. As I see it, it will probably be to the greater health advantage of those kept out, to keep their intake of fatty foods and grog down! I definitely see this measure being put into place. The real concern is a restriction upon grocery shopping. That will have to be challenged at the High Court of Australia.
