I got a perhaps a bit too emotional at Easter about the way the lying Western media have ignored the genocide and persecution of Christians occurring right now, and said that the “peak” of this is happening right now.      Here is a very good article, one which speaks for itself by leading US law scholar, Alan Dershowitz, about the invasion of the FBI into Trump’s lawyer’s office, searching for dirt on the latest Trump scandal. The learned professor, tells us here about the constitutional consequences of the raid, and the relationship between the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendments. To briefly explain: the Fourth  Amendment protects against unreasonable searches and seizures; the Fifth Amendment protects  individual’s against being witnesses against themselves, and the Sixth Amendment deals with rights in criminal trials, such as the need for a speedy trial.

The Simulation Argument

      Philosophers, and some physicists have speculated about the world not being “real” as we normally think but being a computer simulation, as seen in the Matrix movies. There he reasoned that with runaway technological advancements in computing power, and the reaching of a singularity producing post-human superintelligences, the post-human civilisation may run ancestor simulation on their computers. Given the standard assumption in the materialist paradigm of the philosophy of mind, that these simulated minds would be conscious (minds are just computers), then it could well be that the vast majority of minds like ours could actually be simulations, and given the vast number of simulations run, it would be more likely that we are among the simulated minds, rather than the original biological minds.
