Today is the day of shame on the Australian media who have been sold a story that is too good to be true and you took it hook, line and sinker. Media across Australia had been blinded by the hate and bias towards One Nation and myself and rush to report on heavily edited footage. These covert recordings have been seen in full and the footage has been heavily edited. Therefore, comments aired have been taken completely out of context.

“The European particle physics research centre Cern has cut ties with the scientist who said that women were less able at physics than men. Cern has decided not to extend Professor Alessandro Strumia’s status of guest professor. The decision follows an investigation into comments, first reported by BBC News, made by Prof Strumia at a Cern workshop on gender equality. Prof Strumia told BBC News that he stood by his remarks. "Some people hated hearing about higher male variance: this idea comes from Darwin, like other offensive ideas that got observational support," he told BBC News. "Science is not about being offended when facts challenge ideas held as sacred". He added that he believed that he had not been fairly treated. "For months, Cern kept 'investigating' if my 30-minute talk might have violated Cern rules [requiring an] 'obligation to exercise reserve and tact in expressing personal opinions and communication to the public'," Prof Strumia said. "In such a case, they would have opened some procedure, where I would have been able [to defend] myself. This never happened." Last September, Professor Strumia stated that “physics was invented and built by men, it's not by invitation" at a presentation at the Cern the workshop.

     It is not important in itself, but US Senator Martha McSally has recently claimed that she raped while in the Air Force, but she refused to name the rapist. Ok, what I like is the reply to this delivered by Ann coulter, who must run for president in 2020, just for the rhetorical fun of it:

Facebook will now de-prioritize medical myths across the platform, taking action against verifiable vaccine hoaxes, the company said. Misinformation will now appear less frequently in News Feeds, both public and private pages and groups, search predictions and recommendations, according to Facebook. "We are working to tackle vaccine misinformation on Facebook by reducing its distribution and providing people with authoritative information on the topic," Monika Bickert, VP, Global Policy Management, said in a statement. Facebook also says it will start rejecting ads that include vaccine misinformation and disable ad accounts that violate its policies. "Leading global health organizations, such as the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, have publicly identified verifiable vaccine hoaxes. If these vaccine hoaxes appear on Facebook, we will take action against them," Bickert said. Facebook will also share education information about vaccines to people who have uncovered misinformation. "We also believe in providing people with additional context so they can decide whether to read, share, or engage in conversations about information they see on Facebook," Bickert said. “A new research paper has come to the startling conclusion that without changes to the way we produce our food, “insects as a whole will go down the path of extinction in a few decades.” The review published in the journal Biological Conservation looked at 73 studies that measured the prevalence of insects, mostly in North America and Europe. They calculated that populations are declining at an average rate of 2.5 per cent annually.
Examples of the studies included are a 27-year-long study in Germany that found a 76 per cent decline in flying insect biomass and a 36-year-long study in Puerto Rican rainforests that found losses of 98 per cent of ground-foraging and 78 per cent of canopy-dwelling arthropods. Study co-author Francisco Sanchez-Bayo, an ecologist at the University of Sydney in Australia, told CTV News Channel on Monday that we could lose insects “all at the same time.”

“Female gymnasts of all ages at thousands of British clubs must now use the same changing facilities and toilets as males who identify as female, following a ruling by the sport’s governing body. Women and girls travelling to official competitions have also been told they must share accommodation with boys and men who identify as female. Controversially, the edict by British Gymnastics, which has a membership of more than 350,000 – the vast majority of whom are under 16 – bans coaches from telling parents their daughter is sharing a room with a boy who has declared themself as female. It adds that anyone ‘unhappy’ with the new rules must make their own ‘alternative arrangements’. It is unclear whether males who identify as females will be allowed to share showers with female gymnasts. There has been a furious backlash from parents, who say the organisation’s transgender policy – introduced after advice from transgender campaigners – puts their daughters’ safety at risk. In a further ruling, boys and men who identify as female are allowed to participate in female-only competitions.

     I welcome, in a near-nihilistic fashion, that the rise of robots will eliminate the jobs of many of our enemies. “A text-generating "bot" nicknamed Tobi produced nearly 40,000 news stories about the results of the November 2018 elections in Switzerland for the media giant Tamedia -- in just five minutes. A similar automated program called Heliograf has enabled The Washington Post daily to cover some 500 election races, along with local sports and business, since 2014. "We've seen a greater acceptance of the potential for artificial intelligence, or robo-journalism, in newsrooms around the world," said Damian Radcliffe, a University of Oregon professor who follows consumer trends and business models for journalism. "These systems can offer speed and accuracy and potentially support the realities of smaller newsrooms and the time pressures of journalists."
