The loss of freedom of thought can be seen in many areas of modern society, from gun ownership, to sexuality issues and race.  Here, I will briefly mention two areas by way of illustration.

     If you spend a couple of hours reading articles at this site it could save your life. In a nutshell, learn the signs of trouble, always keep in an alert, but relaxed mode of awareness, and know your limits. In war, I have killed men, and have the PTSD that comes with it, but this experience has indicated to me how truly frail humans are. We die very easily.      Vaccinations have become something of a magic bullet of the age, supposedly giving people Superman-like protection against disease. But, is this magic bullet view correct, or is a more kryptonite position a better fit of reality?
     The flu which hit Australia this year, hit harder because the strain mutated after the vaccine had been produced: The Australian, September, 14, 2017, p. 4. There were 155,000 confirmed cases, which is 70 percent more than the entire 2016 flu season. Yet, the concern was made that vaccination rates were still not high enough.
But, wait. If the flu mutated, and hence the vaccine, made for the pre-mutation flu was rendered inadequate, the vaccine rate is besides the point. The fact remains that there is a continuous arms race between bugs and humans, and often the bugs have the upper hand. In this case the mutation was too fast for the vaccine.
It is also interesting to note that research indicates that bacteria can adapt to conditions in outer space, and get stronger and reproduce faster:

Although the bacteria decreased in size, they tended to group together in collective patterns for protection. This suggests that space travel could be extra dangerous due to the increased virulence of bacteria. The elite who hope to leave Earth on space ships, to let us all burn down here, may well die of common bacteria infections, if they get their fantasy ships off the ground.

The article, “Triggs’ one important contribution to human rights” by Greg Walsh (News Weekly, August 26, 2017), is objectionable for a number of reasons.

1. The so-called Anti-Discrimination Act is rotten to the core. Is it necessary to recite the shocking cases of Andrew Bolt, the Queensland University of Technology students, the late Bill Leak and the memorial to the Japanese sex-slave women?

     I have followed the media response to Dick Smith’s strategy dealing with immigration, which was to launch an attack on the growth economy. It has received almost no sympathetic response in the MSM: The Weekend Australian, September 16-17, 2017, p. 22. This is to be expected, since the MSM is pro-growth to the core.

     It has not been a wise use of money by Dick. The growth mad pro-immigration lobby accept none of his assumptions. They think that the more migrants that are brought in the more jobs are created. No matter about IT displacing jobs, migrants have so much magic that they can solve every problem.

     The predictions are based on numerology, centred around the number 33. However, the world will not end on that day, but rather a series of events eventually leading to the Second Coming.

     Mike Adams has been conducting an extensive critique of Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency, generated by a mathematical algorithm, which has taken decentralised money folk by storm.      The problem here is that it is highly unlikely that a deliberate conspiracy is at work, beyond the normal conspiracies, such as the great Given: destroy the White race. With the explosion of population numbers in Africa, it is unlikely that there is any globalist plan to eliminate Africans. All the evidence points towards the elimination of the White race. And, no drug in food is even needed. It is easy enough to do things politically, allowing Whites to simply fall on their own swords of political correctness.

     While many conservatives are lamenting about Alt Right street marches, following Charlottesville, opinion polls may give room for pause.
     A recent Ipsos poll has revealed that 31 percent of responders agreed that “America must protect and preserve its white European heritage.” That is about 100 million people, something to work with. Further, 8 percent of respondents supported White nationalist ideals, whatever that means:

     In reflecting upon ‘the collapse of European civilisational self-belief’ Greg Sheridan avoids mentioning two vital factors (‘Merkel might yet leave Europe in ruins’, 21/9). The first of these is the failure of Christian leadership to renew Christian sacred tradition by reforming it. The analyses of Carl Jung, Rene Guenon, Piotr Ouspensky and other intellectual giants have been almost completely ignored. European culture cannot grow fruitfully into the future without a religious base that does not flout 200 years of scholarship in comparative religion and study of esoteric initiation.

     The second factor is the widespread influence of certain aspects of Jewish culture, as has been capably analysed by Jewish writer Gilad Atzmon in his 2017 book ‘Being in Time’. Largely atheistic and hostile to intellectual freedom, this influence has been eroding the philosophical tradition that goes back to Plato, Aristotle and the ancient Egyptian civilisation before them. No-one need be ‘baffled’ by what has happened.

The displacement of Christianity, which provide the metaphysical foundation for Western civilisation, would have been beyond comprehension for most traditionalists, in the 1960s, yet it has happened.      It is hard to see how the issue does not, since the issue has already  angered multicultural Australia, with Chinese Christian churches fearing that same sex marriage would open their children up to radical gender theory in schools, as well as ringing in legalised polygamy: as above. Religious leaders now say that once same sex marriage is legalised it will become illegal to preach that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. After all, it will not be.
     At the base level, Christianity is under threat. It is an illusion to think that there can be some protection for religious freedoms when the entire point of this movement is to deconstruct the past. The debate brings out all the issues of centrism, identity politics and political correctness that have been with us since, well, when Adam met Eve, I mean, Steve.

     The impending collapse of ISIS has touched off a race for territory in the oil-rich eastern part of Syria pitting US-backed forces against the Russian-led coalition of Syria, Iran and Hezbollah. This is the nightmare scenario that everyone wanted to avoid. Washington and Moscow’s armies are now converging on the same area at the same time greatly increasing the probability of a conflagration between the two nuclear-armed superpowers. The only way a clash can be avoided is if one party backs down, which seems increasingly unlikely.

     It is word which we don’t hear too much of nowadays: “dotard.” The ever-slim-faced Kim Jong-un called President Donald Trump a “deranged dotard,” for his UN speech and a new grab bag of sanctions.      Well nothing to get upset abut here, because we all go down that route, or die, or die before we get to know the joys of dotage, just bobbing along in the great ocean of life, and not worrying about the hard knocks of existence any more.      I don’t normally like any of the journalism of Caroline Overington, but she did a great piece, “Exorbitant Energy Bills Can be A Death Sentence If You’re Old and Short of Cash,” The Weekend Australian, September 23-24, 2017, p. 17.

     The point made is that rising energy bills, something that will be talked about at the League National Weekend, 14 and 15 October, 2017, threaten the vulnerable who cannot afford sky high energy bills, and many will die. Winter can be harsh, but it is always possible to struggle through using plenty of warm clothes. But, hot summers are a killer, and a real danger. The heat can offer seemingly no escape.
