There is a song by a rock band from the 1980s whose song, Would I Lie to You? sticks in my mind, as much as I resist the ear worm. Uuuugh, a worm in one’s wear, even metaphorically is not good. The weird lady singer, now pretty ordinary for these times, was crooning irony, but not the present Covid system.

Almost one third of Americans surveyed distrust public health officials, and they believe that they are not being given full disclosure about Covid vaccine safety. Hey, maybe that is why lots of people are not getting the vaccine?

“Distrust of public health officials may be a major factor in people refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Nearly a third of Americans believe officials are lying about vaccine safety, a number that rises to almost two-thirds among those who say they don’t intend to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 32% of American Adults believe public health officials are lying about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines. Forty-eight percent (48%) don’t think so, while 20% are not sure.

The survey of 1,000 U.S. American Adults was conducted on June 30-July 1, 2021 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research.”

Perhaps it won’t be long before the US system moves to compulsory vaccination, done at gun point; everything there is done at gun point, not that I am saying that that is necessarily bad. But I am sure that there will be compliance when tanks are in the streets, and black attack helicopters circle the hesitants Americans’ houses, with red-pointed missiles at the ready.  Oh, I am getting carried away, that would never happen in the West. Would it? Biden wouldn’t threaten to nuke conservatives, would he?
