Women and Handguns By John Steele
How about a feminist argument for armed firearm carry in Australia: that women, but NOT men should be allowed, given all the appropriate testing, to be able to carry concealed handguns for self-defence so that situations like this do not arise:

Then there is this future, coming at us as fast as a bullet:

The argument would proceed along good old feminist lines about male violence and the need for women, who we can grant, are in general physically weaker than men, to gain full equality a la Sam Colt. After all, the Texas church shooter fled the murder scene after he was confronted by an armed citizen, which indicates that guns save lives, too:

Just think about it; all of the arguments of the gun banners would collapse for women have little gun violence, suffer greatly from domestic violence (particularly ethnic women), and generally are far better moral beings etc. etc.
I would support this form of affirmative action just to ram it up the gun banners, “ram” being defined in a non-violent, non-patriarchal, politically correct fashion.
