Why would Anyone need a Semi-Auto Firearms? For Self-Defence of Course By John Steele

     News stories continue to pile up, showing that guns do save lives. Not only that, but semi-auto rifles, with large capacity magazines have a place too, in dangerous environments. This is seen when home invaders have weapons such as semi-auto pistols and homeowners need an equaliser:

     Less discussed are attacks of feral dogs upon humans, especially in rural areas, but also in cities. This is not as great a problem here in Australia, as in America, although feral dogs are a big problem for our sheep farmers. In America, there have been many cases of dogs attacking people, where only gunfire saved the day. Here are some recent stories to support this:

“On December 21, 2016, Breitbart News reported the murder rate in gun-controlled Chicago had gotten so high it was skewing national murder figures. The death toll in Chicago had passed 730 for the year by December 6, 2016. And the Chicago Tribune reported that the number of murders in Chicago reached 755 by December 21, 2016. The Washington Post reported that Brennan Center of Justice expected “the homicide rate for the country’s 30 biggest cities … to go up by 14 percent” at that time. But they noted that “the killings in Chicago [accounted] for an astounding 43.7 percent of this overall increase in [homicides].”

     Gun control does not work because gun violence is a function of people violence, and as shown by the case of knife attacks in London, violent people will continue to be violence, using rocks if necessary.
