What’s Going on with TikTok? By James Reed
One minute US Congress had decided that TikTok was a communist Chinese spying app, and a national security threat, pulled from the App Store and Play Store, and politicians were saying it had to be sold or banned.
Then Trump gets in a president and the ban is put on hold. So TikTok is back, with no public show of change, no sale, or change of ownership. Nothing beyond what probably took place, a secret deal where data would get handed over. After all, at the presidential inauguration, the now Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard was seen sitting next to the CEO of TikTok. What was he doing there anyway?
This example goes to show, that if a major internet site can be pulled for a month, then restated as if nothing had happened, the internet is under total control and the "chair" can be pulled out from us at any moment. By whoever holds power, even the so-called "good guys."
