Were Some People Happier Being Locked Down? By Richard Miller (London)
Research, widely cited in the UK media, from campaign group More in Common, a Left-wing campaign group, polled 2,033 people between November 30 and December 4 2023, and asked about if they would back some form of Covid mandate measures. The question asked was "Currently, there are no legal Covid-19 restrictions in place in the UK. Thinking of the current health situation in the UK, would you support or oppose the Government re-introducing each of the following Covid-19 restrictions at the current time?" The results were, allegedly, that a third of those polled were happier in lockdowns and would not mind it all happening over again.
What is suspicious is that there is no link to the poll and details are not to be found. One would have thought that a poll indicating that UK young were happy having their basic freedoms removed, would be widely open to scrutiny. It therefore sounds like propaganda to me, and it would be worthwhile for independent to researchers redoing the poll. The opening question was whether one supported having a lockdown, even without a pandemic virus. Why, apart from insane totalitarian control would lockdowns be a normal state of affairs? It smells like propaganda.
