With Albo fearing an electoral backlash against his destruction of Australia, some policy changes have been afoot, such as the plan to limit international student enrolments beginning in 2025. This was done after the disastrous impact open borders international student intake had done, leading to Australia's great accommodation crisis. Seeing what is coming, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) has announced a temporary pause on international student admissions for 2025. They will only be able to enrol 9,500 new international students, which is still absurdly high.
