The Woke World of Disney By Charles Taylor (Florida)
There is so much woke and disgusting leftism associated with Disney that I long ago felt bored covering it. Poor old Walt, turning in his grave; I remember the theme song from the 1960s, “when you wish upon a star,” watching it with my sons every Sunday. All before this woke stuff, where there was wholesome family entertainment. Now, gone. Sad. Now we have movies where children hold up signs saying that they love Satan! What to do? Vote with your wallet and exercise consumer choice; it is your right under capitalism.
Time for some family entertainment film company to soak up the market.

“The latest Disney animated movie with a pro-LGBT subplot fell short of box office expectations over the Thanksgiving holiday, even as another of its Christmas offerings drew controversy for a scene involving kids inadvertently thanking Satan.
"Strange World," a sci-fi comedy about a family of explorers on a mission to save the planet from a mysterious ecological crisis, earned less than $19 million against its $180 million budget, Variety reported, citing box office experts who estimate the film could lose at least $100 million in its theatrical run as it needs to gross $360 million to break even.
The animated feature includes a subplot about a gay 16-year-old boy named Ethan — voiced by comedian Jaboukie Young-White — who is romantically attracted to another boy. Ethan marks the first openly gay character in a Disney film, according to Yahoo News.
With a voice cast featuring the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid and Gabrielle Union, "Strange World" was expected among most analysts to earn as much as $40 million over the holiday break.
But after grossing $18.6 million, the opening now ranks as one of Disney's lowest-selling opening weekends in recent memory, falling well short of other family films like "Encanto" and "Lightyear," which featured its own LGBT subplot.
Young-White, who said he identified as gay in a 2017 appearance on "The Tonight Show" Starring Jimmy Fallon, told Yahoo the movie doesn't focus on Ethan's sexuality.
"I love Ethan's character just because there is so much that he's figuring out at this time, and his identity and so many facets of his identity are all of him at once," Young-White was quoted as saying. "It's not a story about him coming out. It's not a story about him trying to find acceptance for his sexuality. It's just Ethan coming into himself wholly, fully, and in an environment that is ready to support him."
A former comedian and writer for "The Daily Show," Young-White was raised Catholic and hasn't shied away from making controversial comments about Christianity … in September, released a video for a rap song about gay sex in which he recites explicit lyrics.
While reviews for "Strange World" have been mixed, with critics calling it everything from "mundane" to "audacious," parents and audiences have been similarly divided. The film currently nets an audience score of 64 on Rotten Tomatoes.

“A new Disney Christmas show features a group of children holding up signs that spell out “WE LOVE YOU SATAN,” prompting a backlash from many, particularly in the wake of the Balenciaga scandal.
The incident occurs in the series called Santa Clauses, a Disney + spin off of the popular Tim Allen movies.
Each child holds up a letter, which is supposed to spell out “We Love You Santa,” but a couple of the kids end up in the wrong position.
Obviously, the scene is intended for comic effect, but it isn’t playing well.
The scene comes amid further revelations of designers associated with fashion label Balenciaga promoting satanism, following on from a weird photo shoot which sexualized kids.
As we previously highlighted, despite news outlets declaring the issue to be a “conspiracy theory,” the fashion label was forced to apologize.
Disney angered many parents earlier this year by throwing its weight and funding behind gender reassignment procedures, even for kids, as well as featuring transgender and LGBT characters:
The company was also heavily criticised by Florida governor Ron De Santis following Disney’s public rebuke of his “Parents Rights in Education” bill which prevents children as young as kindergarten age being taught about transgender and gay sex issues in schools.
Tucker Carlson charged that Disney has a “fixation on the sexuality of children” pointing to recent reports that four employees of the media giant were charged with human trafficking in Florida, with one having allegedly sent sexually explicit texts to an law enforcement agent posing as a teenage child.”
“The new CEO of Disney, Bob Iger, announced Tuesday that he will seek to “quiet things down” at the company following several high profile controversies, most notably the admission of an executive producer under his predecessor declaring that Disney is operating an open LGBT agenda.
Iger was filmed at a town hall meeting with Disney employees, and the footage was posted to social media by Manhattan Institute senior fellow Christopher Rufo.
“Do I like the company being embroiled in controversy? Of course not,” Iger asserted.
“It can be distracting, and it can have a negative impact on the company. And to the extent that I can work to quiet things down, I’m going to do that,” Iger vowed.
Iger, who is returning to the company for a second spell as CEO after the unscheduled exit of his appointed successor, Bob Chapek, also noted that he was “sorry to see us [Disney] dragged into that battle” with Florida governor Ron DeSantis following Disney’s public rebuke of his “Parents Rights in Education” bill which prevents children as young as kindergarten age being taught about transgender and gay sex issues in schools.
In an interview with Tucker Carlson, DeSantis and the host charged that Disney has a “fixation on the sexuality of children” pointing to recent reports that four employees of the media giant were charged with human trafficking in Florida, with one having allegedly sent sexually explicit texts to an law enforcement agent posing as a teenage child.
During the town hall, Iger further stated that “One of the core values of our storytelling is inclusion, and acceptance, and tolerance. And we can’t lose that, we just can’t lose that.”
He continued, “How we actually change the world for the good must continue… We’re not going to make everybody happy all the time, and we’re not [going to] try to. We’re certainly not going to lessen our core values in order to make everybody happy all the time.”
Iger’s comments come as the company faces a $100 million loss from a production called “Strange World,” which features an open gay teen romance.
Recall that back in March, leaked video footage revealed Disney executive producer Latoya Raveneau asserting that her team had implemented a “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” that would be “adding queerness” to programmes and films for children.
Disney has indeed been prominently featuring transgender and LGBT characters in productions:
Disney also angered many parents earlier this year by throwing its weight and funding behind gender reassignment procedures, even for kids:
As we noted yesterday, a new Disney Christmas show features a group of children holding up signs that spell out “WE LOVE YOU SATAN,” prompting more backlash.”
Perhaps, go woke, go broke will end all of this?
