The Soviet Strategy for Destroying the West by Peter West

Yuri Bezmenov, a Soviet KGB agent defected to the West at the height of the Cold War. In the West, he tried to warn us – unsuccessfully – that the real threat from communism was ideological, through sowing the seeds of collectivist ideologies in the West, as detailed in, Love Letter to America

Ideological subversion involved seeing the West and its institutions as the enemy. Hence the West can be viewed as racist and imperialist while communist regimes have slaughtered hundreds of millions and are “pure” people. “American privilege” was pushed by the Left in the 1960s, but this has now morphed into “white privilege” and there seems to be no end in sight on the ride down.

Undermining of the West first involved corrupting the youth (1960s counter-culture), destroying the centrality of Christianity and Christian ethics in life, and offering incentives to sell out one’s nation. Here in Australia, betrayal of the nation and people has become a way of life. “Free” trade and foreign investment are just forms of this.

Along with the subversive impact of the entertainment industry, the communist strategy has also been to use the legal system to legislate for equality and enforce egalitarianism by the power of the state. This is well illustrated by section 18 C of the Racial Discrimination Act, which models earlier Soviet laws along the same line.

In particular, the concern is with “groups” and “collectivities,” moving away from individuals as the units addressed in the law. Such “thought crime” legislation is alien to the Western legal tradition, but not the Soviet or criminal Chinese one.

Here, communist China under Mao Tse-tung has also had its influence. Chairman Mao’s essay about where “correct” ideas come from (“Where Do Correct Ideas Come From?” May, 1963) would influence the political correctness movement in the West. The communist killer wrote:

“Where do correct ideas come from? Do they drop from the skies? No. Are they innate in the mind? No. They come from social practice, and from it alone; they come from three kinds of social practice, the struggle for production, the class struggle and scientific experiment. It is man’s social being that determines his thinking.
Once the correct ideas characteristic of the advanced class are grasped by the masses, these ideas turn into a material force which changes society and changes the world…  It is therefore necessary to educate our comrades in the dialectical materialist theory of knowledge, so that they can orientate their thinking correctly, become good at investigation and study and at summing up experience, overcome difficulties, commit fewer mistakes, do their work better, and struggle hard so as to build China into a great and powerful socialist country and help the broad masses of the oppressed and exploited throughout the world in fulfillment of our great internationalist duty.”

The words drip with socialist mind-control.
Techniques of shaming and abuse and moral panic and degradation of individuals were practiced during the Cultural Revolution. These techniques are now being used on us by our Soviet/Maoist-influenced new class.

The first step in resisting this tyranny is to begin by realizing that our institutions, such as higher education, the schools, the churches etc., have been fully subverted and taken over by collectivism, which is now called “globalism.”
There will be no hope of any fight-back until one begins again at that point. We are not citizens, but subjects and slaves. Let the revolt of the slaves begin!
