The Social Justice University By James Reed

     I hope that most readers at this site have been poisoned at the thought of the modern university. I report the absurdities and injustices whenever material comes my way. The latest:

“Over the past several years, we’ve seen America’s universities essentially turn into social justice training camps, where teaching about diversity is more important than U.S. history and making sure that all students have a safe space to turn to is more important than making sure they have the skills they need to be successful in “the real world.” It shouldn’t come as a surprise, therefore, that some schools are now hiring faculty members based solely on their commitment to social justice.

At San Diego State University, for instance, there is a substantial amount of evidence that points to the idea that the school’s new president was hired largely because of the fact that she headed a number of social justice departments during her time at the University of California-Davis. In a recent article published in City Journal, Heather Mac Donald provides a long list of social justice departments that SDSU’s new president Adela de la Torre was a part of, the goal of which was to show how “the purpose of the university is no longer the pursuit of knowledge” but rather the bureaucracy of identity politics."

    Actually, the trend is much worse in Australia, where it is well known that the entire university structure is now comprised of politically correct clones who seek to replicate themselves in hiring practices. There are no academic critics in Australia to match say Jordan Peterson, because everybody like that soon gets sacked if they do not have tenure. At taxpayer’s expense, an open season is declared on traditional values. Universities are training grounds for the cultural war.

    Hence, as always, I repeat that the main source of our problems comes from these evil institutions, and we have no alternative, if Western civilisation is to survive, but to exercise self-defence, and close down the universities!
