“Embattled NSW Labor MP Shaoquett Moselmane has warned “the obsolete scum of white Australia” has re-emerged, attacked Australia’s “mainstream media” as anti-Chinese and praised Beijing’s leadership during the coronavirus crisis in a February essay that mirrors Chinese state propaganda. The revelation of Mr Moselmane’s February 5 opinion piece for the East China Normal University comes with the upper house MP already facing intense criticism - including from his own party- for separate comments he made praising Chinese President Xi Jinping. In his February opinion piece, Mr Moselmane endorses the much-maligned praise by the World Health Organisation of “measures adopted by China... to stop the virus from spreading”. “At the same time, the Australian government was hesitant, lacked direction, and responded slowly and confusingly," he wrote. But in his February piece, Mr Moselmane savages Australia’s “mainstream media” for having “publicly played racist cards, offending and insulting many Australian citizens, especially Chinese residents” in actions that “further deepened the already great suffering of the victim”. “Today, the obsolete scum of 'white Australia' is once again flooding, and the theory of yellow fever has once again surfaced,” he wrote.

“Some mainstream media have bred and spread these racial viruses in our multicultural community with the purpose of inciting hatred. “Today, media xenophobia and full-scale war against China have become the norm,” his piece says, attacking not only Australian outlets but a piece in The New York Times.”

     Wow, at first I thought this guy was doing the usual ethnic/multicult thing, and having a go at ordinary deplorables like you and me, mouthing off some Great Replacement scenario, which would be a conspiracy, wouldn’t it? No, he did not say that white Australians are all obsolete scum, only those in the media criticising majestic China; we need to read the fine print. And, he had bigger racist fish to fry, going after the mainstream media, which is really hiking for the highest moral ground. Strategically, all I can say, is keep up the good work Shaoquett, and never stop hammering the mainstream media on their racism. Yeah, just do it, 24/7. Your seat is safe, nobody would ever consider you obsolete, replaceable by a Chinese candidate, would they? And, if they did replace you, it won’t really matter will it, for you have gone to the great political scrap yard, while paving the way for China, China, China, which is simply divine, tastier than the sweetest Lebanese delight such as knefeh.
