In Britain death from dementia and Alzheimer’s accounted for 11.6 percent of all recorded deaths.

This radical increase cannot be due to the ageing of populations, because heart disease is also closely linked to ageing and in many countries the death-rate for heart disease has declined. Doctors are now certainly better at diagnosing dementia and this would have impacted upon the recent morality statistics.

Apart from the likely impacts of toxins in foods, poor nutrition and environmental pollution, wireless technology, the Natural News.com article hypotheses, could be having a major impact. Microwaves can cause genetic damage and doctors are observing patterns of increased risk of glioma, malignant brain cancer, in people who have used mobile and cordless phones.

Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease have become a logical consequence of our out-of-control technocracy, where every piece of technology that can yield a buck is flung upon the market, with no regard to the social consequences. The problem here is not merely physical but metaphysical, arising from an inner emptiness in the soul of modern mechanistic man.
