The Leftist Mind: University Professor Said, Better to Kill a Racist Speaker, than Protest! By Charles Taylor (Florida)
One more example, if one more example is needed of the Leftist mind at work. It is instructive for conservatives to meditate upon such stories. Thus, Steven Shaviro, a professor in Wayne State University‘s English department, posted a Facebook post saying that the Left should kill political opponents, conservatives, rather than protest them. He was suspended without pay. Now, while at first glance that seems shocking, really the idea the violence is golden is the heart of Leftism, through Marxism, which holds that capitalism needs to be over thrown by violent revolution. So, all the professor is doing is stating in a modern context something that Lenis, Stain and Mao put into bloody practice, killing over a hundred million people.
“Steven Shaviro, a professor in Wayne State University‘s English department, was suspended without pay after he made a Facebook post that encouraged people to kill their political opponents instead of merely protest them.
“I think it is far more admirable to kill a racist, homophobic, or transphobic speaker than it is to shout them down,” Shaviro wrote. “When right-wing groups invite such speakers to campus, it is precisely because they want to provoke an incident that discredits the left, and gives more publicity and validation to these reprehensible views than they could otherwise attain.”
He continued, “The protesters get blamed instead of the bigoted speaker; the university administration finds a perfect excuse to side publicly with the racists or phobes; the national and international press has a field day saying that bigots are the ones being oppressed, rather than the people those bigots actually hate being the victims of oppression,” he said.
Shaviro pointed to the assassination of Symon Petliura, an antisemitic Ukrainian politician, and his murderer’s subsequent acquittal as evidence that this approach works.”
Along the same lines, we have academics calling for the end of white Christian society, even though what will replace it, will probably wash them away first!
“An exclusive, private research institution located in the extremely affluent suburbs of Philadelphia recently promoted a seminar taking place at the school titled “A Womanist Path to Ending White Christian America.”
Villanova University claims to be a Roman Catholic institution founded in 1842
This “Catholic” University is now hosting a Library’s Speakers’ Corner for a workshop surrounding “Ending White Christian America.”
“A troubling part of that reality is that white supremacy is grounded in Christian history, texts, ideas, and institutions. Is Christian faith possible apart from anti-Blackness? In this session, we will explore this question as we contemplate the meaning of the end of “White Christian America” We will study the liberative [sic] possibilities found in womanist theology, a discourse developed by Black women.”

It is worth mentioning that this event is not being coordinated by a fringe group on campus. According to the official announcement from the school, “This session will be facilitated by Rev. Naomi Washington-Leapheart. Reverend Naomi is an ordained minister, justice advocate, public administrator, and adjunct professor of Theology and Religious Studies at Villanova University.”
Not surprisingly, the event flyer includes liberal trigger words such as “racial violence” and “anti-blackness.” It also mentions the deaths of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd as a consequence of the American “white supremacist system.””
