It was a great piece of political satire and refutation for DeSantis to drop off illegals outside of the Washington DC residence of vice president Kamal Harris. Earlier she had said that the border was closed, as tight as a drum. Ut the illegals themselves, straight from the horse’s mouths, so to speak, said: “The border is open, not closed. Everybody believes that the border is open. It is open because we enter. We come in free, no problem. We came illegally, not legally.” It is difficult to think of any political figure getting such a knock down refutation. But, she will not care, and just chuckle and giggle. Scary indeed to have such people in control.
“Kamala Harris has been mocked by illegal migrants bussed to her Washington DC residence who said they’d strolled across the southern border unimpeded – days after she insisted it was secure.
One unidentified man filmed outside the Naval Observatory on Friday told Fox News: ‘The border is open, not closed. Everybody believes that the border is open.
‘It is open because we enter. We come in free, no problem. We came illegally, not legally.’
His words come just four days after Harris told NBC News: ‘The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed.
‘We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration.’
But the vice president’s words seemed hollow Friday, thanks to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s decision to dispatch two buses containing 101 illegal immigrants from Eagle Pass in the Lone Star State to the nation’s capital.
He did so as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent two planes filled with migrants to ritzy Martha’s Vineyard island, off the coast of Massachusetts.
The GOP leaders say they’re keen for liberals who espouse ‘sanctuary cities’ to experience the full effects of uncontrolled immigration, which has hit border cities including Del Rio and El Paso in Texas very hard.
Those who arrived on the bus said that they had travelled from Venezuela, with many women, children and families smiling as they got off the vehicles.
Gov Abbott appears to have directly retaliated to Harris’ comments about border security, by sending the latest load of migrants close to her home in DC.
He has sent hundreds of the migrants to Washington, DC, New York City and Chicago in recent weeks, but has yet to publicly comment on this latest escalation.
It comes after Gov Ron DeSantis bragged about sending two planes of migrants to affluent Martha’s Vineyard and El Paso is becoming ‘overwhelmed’ by the number of those crossing the border illegally.
Areas targeted by GOP governors all bill themselves as migrant-friendly ‘sanctuary cities,’ with Abbott saying he’s keen to show them the scale of the challenge his border cities are facing from the ongoing influx.
In a statement he said: ‘The Biden-Harris Administration continues ignoring and denying the historic crisis at our southern border, which has endangered and overwhelmed Texas communities for almost two years.
‘Our supposed Border Czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, has yet to even visit the border to see firsthand the impact of the open border policies she has helped implement, even going so far as to claim the border is “secure.”
‘Texas will continue sending migrants to sanctuary cities like Washington, D.C. until President Biden and Border Czar Harris step up and do their jobs to secure the border.’
Abbott argues that the border towns of his state of Texas is overwhelmed, and those in New York and DC should be the ones dealing with the crisis.
Eric Adams has slammed the Republican party for their ‘inhumane’ decision to send migrants with no warning, and branded Abbott as a ‘rogue’ Governor.
He said: ‘The Republican party they have created a blueprint that all of them are starting to follow. Its inhumane.
‘For the Governor to send immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard without any coordination is just creating real crisis and that is the problem that we shared to our lawmakers in Washington this is a blueprint that you are going to see start unfolding.’
On Wednesday, Adams admitted that shelters in the Big Apple are at ‘breaking point’ after the Texas Gov bused nearly 11,000 people into the city.
Abbott recently clashed with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot over the decision, with Lightfoot branding him as a ‘racist’.
She sparked outrage last week after deciding to move migrants from Chicago to a neighboring Republican suburb.
Of the 147 migrants who arrived last Wednesday, Lightfoot ordered 64 of them to be taken to a Hampton Inn hotel in Burr Ridge, where they will be housed for at least the next 30 days.
Republican Mayor of Burr Ridge, Gary Grasso, directed his anger at Lightfoot and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker for using the migrants as ‘political pawns.’
He said: ‘We are very unhappy that nobody from the city, from the state called and told me.’
Mayor Muriel Bowser, of Washington DC, last week declared a public emergency over the buses continuing to arrive from Texas and Arizona.
It will set aside funding to accommodate migrants as well as create the Office of Migrant Services (OMS).
The OMS will provide temporary accommodation, urgent medical needs, transportation and other services for those arriving.
Bowser has twice asked that the National guard be activated to assist with the thousands of migrants arriving at the capital, but they have both been denied by the Pentagon.
Brianne Nadeau, a member of the Council of the District of Columbia, has slammed the governors of Texas and Arizona for the city’s public migrant emergency.
She said: ‘So, it’s been said, but it’s worth reiterating, that the governors of Texas and Arizona have created this crisis.
‘And, the federal government has not stepped up to assist the District of Columbia.
‘So we, along with our regional partners, we’ll do what we’ve always done. We’ll rise to the occasion.’
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has also become embroiled inthe ongoing war against the Democrats after sending two planes of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
The affluent area is home to prominent liberals such as the Obamas, Oprah Winfrey and Larry David.
DeSantis bragged that he was responsible for the planes, with a spokesman for his office adding that it was ‘part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations.’
They took aim at the Democrat run areas, saying that Massachusetts, New York and California with ‘better facilitate’ the care of the migrants.
In their statement they directly accused those in charge of ‘inviting’ the illegal migrants to the country by ‘incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as “sanctuary states”’
His office also took aim at President Bidens open border policies, in a direct echo of Gov Abbott’s complaints.
They added: ‘As you may know, in this past legislative session the Florida Legislature appropriated $12 million to implement a program to facilitate the transport of illegal immigrants from this state consistent with federal law.’
At the same time as these new arrivals, humanitarian crisis is deepening in the Texas border town of El Paso.
Nearly 1,000 migrants have been released to sleep on the streets amid a surge of illegal crossings that is overwhelming Border Patrol facilities.
Border Patrol facilities and shelters in the west Texas town have been overwhelmed in recent days, leading to a flood of so-called ‘street releases’.
Congressman Tony Gonzalez, a GOP US Representative, said: ‘We’ve never seen anything like this. It’s a scene that you would see in a third-world country, not in the streets of El Paso.’
It has led to scenes of misery, with hundreds of migrants sleeping on the streets without access to toilets or showers, and residents say that the ‘smell of human waste is overwhelming in the area.’
The situation in El Paso comes after the Biden administration officially extended special protections for Venezuelans, known as Temporary Protected Status, that shield some of them from deportation.
Migrants in Eagle Pass, 450 miles east along the border, were also reported to have killed a guard dog and begun eating animals in desperation.
Just shy of 200,000 illegal immigrants were intercepted crossing the southern border in July, according to the most recent CBP figures available.”

The Revealed Preference of the migrants has a mirror image in the receiving countries. In the populations of those countries—our countries—are many who express sympathy and support for those entering illegally. "Let them come!" they say, "No human being is illegal!"
But this week we have been seeing the actual Revealed Preference of those people.

I anticipate a new genre of virtue-signaling suburban lawn signs: NO HUMAN BEING IS A PROP.
That is of course naked hypocrisy. Why have First World Ruling Classes encouraged and abetted mass illegal immigration? To stick it to their own working and middle classes, of course, that's why—to stick it to the Bitter Clingers, the Deplorables, the Semi-Fascists whom they loathe and despise and want to Replace.

Governor DeSantis's move was a supercharged version of what Governors Greg Abbot of Texas and Doug Ducey of Arizona have been doing to our so-called "Sanctuary Cities." Those governors have been busing illegal aliens to New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. to shrieks of outrage from the mayors of those cities.

The Observatory neighborhood is the toniest district of our nation's capital—fine old elegant town houses and diplomatic missions—so I'd guess there is some Revealed Preference being Revealed in the clubs and drawing-rooms there, but so far I haven't seen any residents interviewed.
I like the growing audacity of these southern governors, and I love the Revealed Preference on display.
Over in the other major part of the white First World, which is to say Europe, the dynamic is somewhat different.
Immigration scofflaws who arrive in southern Europe don't need buses and planes chartered by politicians to take them north. The north is where they want to be. For one thing, that's where relatives and friends from their home countries mostly are—millions of them now. For another, the lush, soft, Woke welfare states of northern Europe are easier marks than Spain, Italy, and Greece.
Resistance to the demographic Replacement is stirring in Northern Europe, though. Sweden, the beating heart of white ethnomasochism, had a general election last Sunday. The result was a defeat for the ruling Social Democrats, a narrow win for a coalition of more conservative parties.
Included in that coalition were the Sweden Democrats (SD), described by The Washington Post’s Ishaan Tharoor as "a party founded in 1988 by ultranationalist extremists and neo-Nazis" [Sweden’s election marks a new far-right surge in Europe, September 16, 2022 ]
I have not sufficient acquaintance with Swedish politics to tell you whether that description is a fair one. Did Sweden Democrats start out wearing jackboots and giving their party leader straight-arm salutes? Did their original policy platform call for euthanasia of the mentally retarded and an invasion of Poland? I have no idea.

The references to "order" and "security" there point to the swelling lawlessness in Sweden's cities, all driven by high levels of immigration from the Balkans and the Middle East.
It's good that this nationalist party has a share in Sweden's new ruling coalition. I note, though, that their share of the total vote was only around twenty percent. That zone, twenty to twenty-five percent, was for years the ceiling for the AFD party, Germany's equivalent of the Sweden Democrats. So we're still waiting for a nationalist party in Western Europe to win a big, robust electoral majority. But we may see that next weekend, when Italy goes to the polls on September 25th.
Polls tell us that the favorite to be Italy's next Prime Minister is 45-year-old Giorgia Meloni, right, leader of the Brothers of Italy party. Quote from her:

As a political party platform, that's not bad. It's one Americans can only dream of.
But the next best thing to a straightforward victory for some nationalist party in Europe would be for one of the big old dominating social-democratic parties to steal some of the nationalists' clothes.
That seems to be happening in Denmark. The Prime Minister of that country is 44-year-old Mette Frederiksen, right, of the, yes, Social Democratic Party. Here's a thing that she said last month:
Unfortunately, the truth is that immigration policy is closely linked to crime, and that there is too large a group that is not part of Denmark. At the same time, we are seeing a crime picture that is changing, which in my eyes is one of Denmark's biggest challenges of all, because being unsafe is a huge loss of freedom.

Denmark's Social Democrats aren't stopping at words, though. Last year this same government passed a law saying that foreigners applying for asylum in Denmark could be made to wait in a third country. Now we've just been told that Denmark has signed a third-country agreement with Rwanda in South-Central Africa. That's the same deal the British government struck, also with Rwanda; but that deal was then scotched by the European Court of Human Rights which, for reasons I don't understand, apparently still has authority in Britain even after Brexit.
Denmark's in the EU, so perhaps that same court will stop their Rwanda plan. Possibly Prime Minister Frederiksen is hoping that will happen and is just playing four-dimensional chess to appease Denmark's nationalists, I don't know.
If her words are empty, though, they're still pretty good words and there are plenty of nationalists in Denmark who will like them. In a 2019 poll 31 percent of Danish respondents said that immigration brings no benefits, only harms.
