Let me see. Suppose you were wanting to invest in some real estate, perhaps in land under development. You can’t investigate everything, so you need a real estate firm that you could trust, especially when they tell you that some swampland is a great investment. “Corporate crime tracking data shows that US-based pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and its subsidiaries have paid over $10bn in penalties for 91 regulatory violations from the year 2000 until the present. The most common offenses include drug safety violations, false claims, and foreign corrupt practices, with payouts ranging from $5,000 to $2.3bn and a record high of $3.75bn by a subsidiary prior to acquisition.
Pfizer Inc. is a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporation with 52 locations around the world and headquarters in New York. As of the first nine months of 2022, the company has made over $76bn in revenues from both the parent organization and all its subsidiaries.”
