The Dawn of the Euthanasia Society By Mrs Abigail Knight (Florida)

A Canadian citizen has applied for medically assisted dying, euthanasia, in Canada, not only because of his back pain, but being homeless. He can barely survive on his pension. So, he chooses death. Now those supporting euthanasia argued that it was for cases of terminal illness and severe, untreatable pain. But, the next level is for death to the homeless and whoever does not fit into society. Then it will be active euthanasia where those who dissent are put to sleep, like naughty dogs. It is a very slippery slope.

The Canadian citizen has been barely surviving on Ontario's monthly disability payments of $1,200. Mr Farsoud admitted he does not wish to die but could not afford to find another place to live, as his current property was up for sale. The Ontario resident claimed that even with the constant pain he was experiencing he still wanted to live.

City News Reporter Cynthia Mulligan said: "Amir Farsoud has applied for medically assisted dying, known as (MAiD) he lives in constant agony due to a back injury, but has started the process for end of life.

"Because his rooming house is up for sale and he can't find anywhere else to live that he can afford."

"He barely survives on Ontario disability support payments, which are just over $1,200 a month, he doesn't want to die but being homeless is not an option."

Addressing Mr Farsoud, she said: "Are you afraid to die?"

Mr Farsoud told City News: "Who isn't? Yeah, I mean it...”
