The Dangers of AI Shopping, By Brian Simpson

If the globalist elite succeed in bringing in the totally cashless society, what, on the ground will it be like, terrible yes, but how exactly? One proposal is detailed below, which involves the complete AI store, where you log into when going into the store, AI surveillance watches you, notes what you take, then you walk out, being automatically billed. As I see it this moves even basic shopping to a whole new level of tyranny. I simply would not trust such a system, beyond privacy concerns. While one can get a receipt by scanning a QR code, the errors which will occur will make the system yet another burden to shoppers. Scanning errors are already a great hassle with self-serve checkouts as they now exist, so how will this system improve things for me, and you? All it will do is reduce more labour in the shops, putting the burden back upon the customer. But that is the plan.

"A new cashless technology could change the way you shop by using artificial intelligence to track your every move in store. Australians traditionally walk in, grab an item and pay when they leave.

New technologies like self-serve checkouts have claimed to streamline the process. However, consumers have complained about the clunky process with scanning errors or shoplifting prevention methods.

Mastercard told Yahoo Finance a new cashless method being launched to customers at an Australian Open convenience store pop-up would have you tap your card to enter a store, then simply shop and walk away.

Cameras developed with spatial intelligence platform AiFi can work out exactly what you take and charge you accordingly.

Mastercard said there would be no surcharges for the consumer, and no need to scan items or talk to a cashier.

Surin Fernando, Mastercard Australasia's head of Customer Solutions Centre, said the new technology would make the process faster and more seamless for consumers.

"It's fully automated through the camera," Fernando said.

The technology was developed with "safety and security in mind" to improve autonomous shopping in a "privacy compliant way", he added.

"It's all anonymised," Fernando said.

The only cross-reference is from the card you tap with, which is linked to a "stick figure computer image of you".

"We don't leverage in the retail experience any type of like facial recognition, or any type of recognition of you as an individual," he said.

How does the new cashless system work?

A consumer will tap their card or smart device on a payment terminal before entering.

The device will put a temporary hold of $1 on your card, which is dropped when you leave.

Cameras set up around the store use artificial intelligence to track where you go and what you pick up.

When you exit, your card will be charged for whatever you leave with and you can get a receipt by scanning a QR code.

The technology can also work in group settings. The cameras can track each member's movements and will charge the items to the buyer who first scanned their card.

If you just want to window shop, you won't get charged anything."
