Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price on the Voice Referendum Funding Tricks By James Reed

Senator Price is watching the tricks that the labor party is getting up to roll in the Voice referendum, establishing a third chamber of parliament, contrary to denials, for everything that otherwise is desired could be done now without constitutional change. Although the Albo government has said that it will not be funding either side of the referendum, Senator Price has pointed out that $235.1 million will be allocated for the referendum, with $160 million is in a contingency reserve, $75.1 million ready for “preparation and support work” and “increasing First Nations enrolment and participation,” and $6.5 million is being allocated to National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) to support the referendum. I agree that that does not sound like an even handling of the issue, setting up a clear bias for the yes case. But, what else would we expect? And, in the light of the same sex vote, and the return of the Andrews government, there is an uphill battle coming, as we do not have the same demographics of the ANZAC generation by a long shot. The entire forces of racial brainwashing, created since the 1960s will be unleashed. Once the lawyer class get their delicate fingers on the constitution, well, game over. So, let’s try and win the battle that really counts. People have to act, by trying to convince all they know, and they in turn, that the Voice is part of an agenda to break up Australia.

“Country Liberal Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has raised concerns about how money being allocated for the referendum is effectively funding the ‘yes’ campaign.

Despite the Albanese government stating it would not fund either side of the debate, October’s Federal Budget revealed that $235.1 million will be allocated for the referendum.

Of that figure, $160 million is in a contingency reserve to fund the upcoming referendum itself with a further $75.1 million ready for “preparation and support work” and “increasing First Nations enrolment and participation”.

An additional $6.5 million is being allocated to National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) to support the referendum.

The Northern Territory senator – a vocal critic of the Voice to Parliament – told Sky News Australia that she is not confident with how the money will be spent.

“We have organisations like the NIAA that are already pretty much pushing the constitutional change, the yes vote,” Ms Price said.

“It’s being pushed upon the public service. People in the public service are being pushed towards voting yes for constitutional change, the Statement from the Heart is being weaponosised and used as emotional blackmail to get people on board with the yes vote.

“Their campaign has been underway for some time already.”

The Voice to Parliament was a key element of the 2017 Uluru Statement from the Heart and called for an elected Indigenous advisory body to the Federal Parliament.

Last week it was revealed the Nationals would oppose the government’s proposal to establish an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament in the Australian Constitution.

Ms Price took aim at “big corporates” getting on board with the Statement, without being fully aware of the consequences.

“Big corporates that are signing on to the Uluru Statement, without really knowing what it all means and what those consequences might look like for our marginalised,” she said.

“This is a top-down approach, this is not a grassroots movement for people on the ground.”

“Jacinta Price has warned Australia should 'be on notice' for Anthony Albanese's government to start ramping up 'bullying, gaslighting, and emotional blackmail' ahead of the proposed Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum.

Liberal Senator's fury was trigged by comments from minister Linda Burney who declared the government wouldn't fund either side of the Yes/No argument.

This is despite the fact the federal budget has already allocated as much as $235 million towards the referendum which could be held as early as next year with $75million to be spent before Australians cast their vote.

Senator Price has been one of the proposal's biggest critics as she believes the push to recognise First Nations people in the Constitution and potentially establish a third chamber of parliament to advice government, will create further division while failing to address disadvantage.

She has accused Labor of saturating the public service, education systems and government funded NGOs with Yes campaign 'propaganda'.

The Northern Territory-based senator fears the government will ramp up 'bullying, gaslighting and emotional blackmail' in a desperate effort to get the Indigenous Voice to Parliament over the line.

'When the tactful PM refers to the Australian public being responsible for funding the Yes and No campaigns, what he actually means is big corporations that Labor have been courting for the last few years will be heavily bankrolling the Yes campaign on Labors behalf,' Senator Price told NewsCorp.

'It's blatantly evident that Labor are not interested in fully and equally informing the Australian public on the No argument, only the Yes argument.

'They'll ramp up their bullying, gaslighting and emotional blackmail tactics – everyone is on notice.'

According to figures in the budget handed down in October, $160 million already sits in a 'contingency reserve' to fund Australia's first referendum since 1999.

Another $75.1 million has been set aside 'preparation and support work,' (increasing) First Nations enrolment and participation,' along with with '$6.5 million to the National Indigenous Australians Agency to support the Referendum.'
