I have never seen anyone grilled as much as she was, with even radical Leftist communist AOC ripping into her. One Senator caught her out in a deliberate lie under oath, and recommended perjury charges be made. To give Kim credit she did not cry but took it like the patsy she is, taking the rap for the crooks higher up that organised the attempted assassination of Trump. All the points made by the dissent media, such as the existence of eye-witness reports of a second shooter, were put to Cheatle, and it was merely water off a duck's back.
Cheatle has now resigned, finally admitting that there was a failure to protect Trump, and it was her responsibility. "The Secret Service's solemn mission is to protect our nation's leaders. On July 13, we failed. As a director of the United States Secret Service, I take full responsibility for any security lapse of our agency," she said.
Of course, what is needed now is to get to the bottom of how and why this all happened. It is only week two, and unlike events such as 9/11, there seems to be an enormous public interest from both the Left and the Right to explain how, and most importantly, why, the Secret Service made catastrophic errors, such as being warned 12 minutes before the assassination attempt that there was going to be an active shooter, but let it happen, doing nothing.
