Saying Goodbye, Woollies By James Reed

I previously discussed the issue of how Woolworths is not having its once Australia Day merchandise, for two reasons, one being declining demand (well, stock less), the other being that it may offend the lobby against Australia Day, no doubt the main reason. I said that I won't be shopping at that supermarket anymore. And, I am pleased to see that Sky News host Liz Storer says the "silent majority" of Australians should "take their money elsewhere." "We, the consumer, have the power with our dollars and we can tell these global elites … where they can shove their agenda."

I would not put it as crudely as that, but this is Australia, and the general point is well taken, that people offended by woke decisions need to vote with their wallets and credit cards. That is an important political message that Major Douglas told us, that by association, people can achieve things the individual cannot.

"Sky News host Liz Storer says the "silent majority" of Australians should "take their money elsewhere" after Woolworths' decision to remove its Australia Day product range.

Woolworths Group, which also owns Big W, has said it will not be selling any special Australia Day merchandise in 2024.

They cited a 'gradual decline' in demand for the merchandise over the years as the reason for their decision.

"This is significant and what people need to realise now more than ever is we are the resistance," Ms Storer told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

"There's almost 26 million of us in this country, the lefties are the minority and the silent majority can stay silent, but take their money elsewhere.

"We, the consumer, have the power with our dollars and we can tell these global elites … where they can shove their agenda."
