The Opposition Immigration Minister Dan Tehan has slammed Albo's immigration policy which has allowed 1.6 million people to come into the country over the present term of the Labor government. Immigration, fuelled by the international student scam, as shown by sites like Macrobisiness.com.au, has led in the main to the present accommodation crisis, and behind that has been the ever-greedy universities, reaping profits, while enjoying tax-free charity status. However, while there is a growing consensus about this, the weak Liberals are not coming out with an alternative immigration policy, only saying now that it will be lower.
The Liberals are also under the thumb of Big Australia globalist corporates, so in the end they will end up, like the British conservatives, in simply delivering more of the same for their masters. We need more independents who can bring the government to heel. Also, mass protests in the streets of millions, and a general strike. But I dream.
"Opposition Immigration Minister Dan Tehan says the number of people coming into Australia is "too high" but has refused to give a threshold the Coalition would be more comfortable with.
"I can tell you what's too high. 1.6 million people are coming into this country over four years… that is the population of the city of Adelaide," he told ABC.
"When we have a housing crisis, when we have a rental crisis, when people can't get in to see a doctor, when we're seeing cuts in our infrastructure… That is too high.
"What we need is a proper plan when it comes to immigration and set out what that should look like… it's a complete mess."
When asked point-blank what exact levels the Coalition wanted to see migration be reduced to, Mr Tehan refused to answer instead claiming the Liberals wanted a "better" not "bigger" Australia.
Mr Tehan said the intake of foreign students into Australia "absolutely" needed to be reduced, calling Labor's response a "knee-jerk reaction".
"There will be an immigration policy that will be announced before the next election and it will be very different to Labor's immigration policy."
He also slammed the government for not yet using the preventative detention powers given to it last year, given there were 37 sex offenders and seven murderers among the 149 people released."
