Peanuts the squirrel was an internet sensation. Was. The cute little fellow as taken in by Mark Longo after his mother was killed. There was bonding and the squirrel did cute and clever things on the internet. But the big bad New York authorities thought that peanuts may have had rabies, which he did not, so they killed him. It is hard to tell how much this may have influenced the election. It shows the nastiness of the state bureaucracy which has been set up in the vast political swamplands.

The squirrel may have been in Mark Longo's home illegally, but so is a third of New York, and more illegals overall than the entire population of Australia. It will be a task of Hercules to get them out.
