For Australian readers, who do not seem to get a coverage of some vital news from the US, here is the latest on the lawfare against Donald Trump. Slammed with a $ 355 million fine for alleged fraud against banks, which the banks themselves deny (the issue is Trump's assessment of his property values, which was accepted by the banks with independent review, so it was not fraud by definition), Trump has now lost another judgment from the same judge, seeking a postponement of the judgment. Apparently not having the liquid cash is not a reason.
This is a system where corrupt Soros-supported district Attorneys have let antifa radicals who burnt down America walk free. But for Trump, a judgment can be made of fraud, where there are not any of the elements of the offence present, and the crime is victimless. It makes a kangaroo court look like supreme justice. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of the law should be stunned by what is being squeezed out of the US injustice system.
"Former President Donald Trump lost a bid Thursday to postpone the New York court ruling forcing him to cough up $355 million and banning him from doing business in the state for three years.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron said Trump's attorneys hadn't provided a good reason as to why he should delay his judgement from last week in the civil fraud case against the ex-president, the Trump Organization and others.
"You have failed to explain, much less justify, any basis for a stay," Engoron wrote in a Thursday email filed in the case. "I am confident that the Appellate Division will protect your appellate rights."
