It May Not be a Baby Boom, but it is a Start! By Mrs. Abigail Knight (Florida)
Just as the story broke, mainly on TikTok posts, of liberal/Democrat/Leftoid women going into a sex ban because of Trump winning, there was the story of the other side of the coin, of Trump women, now planning to have babies, as the economy will improve, and inflation and the cost of living will get under control:
"Me waiting for my husband to get home from the fire dept. to ask if we can have another baby now that we can afford it. Thank you Trump," reads the caption of a TikTok clip posted Wednesday by Illinois mom Tara Elsas. Elsas, 30, can be seen dancing and twerking to Usher's hit song "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" in the 11-second-long clip, which has amassed 66,000 views.
"The video was for entertainment purposes, but there really is so much truth behind it," Elsas told The Post. Elsas and her husband of four years have always known that they want to give their 20-month-old daughter at least one more sibling, she said.
"But, as we all know, things are expensive and my husband is a firefighter, so that doesn't come with a great salary."
The Lincoln, IL. family's dreams felt out of reach – until Trump's landslide victory on Tuesday.
"It was just a big sigh of relief," Elsas said about the election outcome.
"[Trump's] campaign pledged to end the inflation nightmare and he has a plan to do so, which makes a big difference for our family," she explained.
Additionally, "My husband works a lot of overtime, so Trump proposing no taxes on overtime is a huge thing for us. And extending the current Trump tax laws that are set to expire, that's great for our family."
Elsas also praised the next president for his promises to lower gas prices, drill domestically, and end the Russia-Ukraine War.
"All of these things are going to enable us to have another child without the worry that inflation will keep growing, and to give our child the life they deserve."
"We also feel that we will have more peace bringing another baby into this world . . . and that [Trump] will keep boys out of my daughter's locker room and not allow them to be in her sports," Elsas pointed out."
This will at least deal with some of the uncertainties people have faced having families.
