Is the Coronavirus Racist? By Brian Simpson

     The debate is continuing over whether of not there is a racial bias to the coronavirus, something which I have an open mind about. VDare has been championing this, and they may be right, but the thesis requires qualification. Italians get infected, and so do Iranians, presumably part of the “white” race, so what gives? My hypothesis is that it is the Nordic and possibly Alpine sub-races that have immunity of various degrees to the disease, maybe a product of past evolution, perhaps the Black Death. Anyway, since even nationalists do not like thinking about dividing up the mystical “white race” (a fear of dividing forces, even though diversity makes it as divided as it could be), they have to deal with the Italian counter-examples.

    In any case, here is Chinese research indicating a North East Asian vulnerability:

“A novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) was identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China in December of 2019. This new coronavirus has resulted in thousands of cases of lethal disease in China, with additional patients being identified in a rapidly growing number internationally. 2019-nCov was reported to share the same receptor, Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), with SARS-Cov. Here based on the public database and the state-of-the-art single-cell RNA-Seq technique, we analyzed the ACE2 RNA expression profile in the normal human lungs. The result indicates that the ACE2 virus receptor expression is concentrated in a small population of type II alveolar cells (AT2). Surprisingly, we found that this population of ACE2-expressing AT2 also highly expressed many other genes that positively regulating viral reproduction and transmission. A comparison between eight individual samples demonstrated that the Asian male one has an extremely large number of ACE2-expressing cells in the lung. This study provides a biological background for the epidemic investigation of the 2019-nCov infection disease, and could be informative for future anti-ACE2 therapeutic strategy development.”

The authors explain that “2019-nCov was reported to share the same receptor, Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2)” as the SARS disease, an outbreak of which in 2003 seemed almost exclusively to kill Northeast Asians. Based on “the public database and the state-of-the-art single-cell RNA-Seq technique” the Chinese scientists “analyzed the ACE2 RNA expression profile in the normal human lungs.” Crucially, they further found (in a comparison of  eight individual samples) that the “Asian male one has an extremely large number of ACE2-expressing cells in the lung” in comparison to other races. (The database was based on analysis of eight normal human lung transplant donors of different races.)”

     Well, given these race differences, how does one explain this? There is also a low incidence of infection in Africa, contrary to concerns raised a few days ago by Bill Gates. This may be due to evolution, namely that Europeans and Africans lived in areas with an environment well suited to flu transmission, so acquired immunities. But, who knows? It makes as much sense to speculate that the coronavirus is manmade, a bioweapon:

     There are numerous unknowns in this area, what in time, especially if the global economy is crated, we will see if this pandemic is natural, or engineered by the super-elites for their demonic purposes.
