Assembled below is some reading on Sco Mo, or whatever the bozzo is called, advocation of mandatory vaccination for all Australians, apart from medical exemptions. Already this has been enormously controversial, so it seems likely, that when a vaccine is ready to be pumped into human lab rats, Centrelink recipients will be the first test case, since no jab, no pay/play got through, so it will eventually move to the New Zealand line of no jab, no freedom, then no doubt to no jab, no oxygen. No sooner had the electrons dried on the cyber-page, then I heard that Mo has backed away from compulsory vaccination. Overnight he was hammered by criticism, so we will have to wait and see what happens. No doubt he will pick on soft target like Centrelink recipients at some point, having had a victory with the no jab, no oxygen policy. Anyway, here is Andrew bolt on this issue:
“Sky News host Andrew Bolt says while he would probably take a potential coronavirus vaccine, he sure as hell doesn’t want to be forced to take one by a government that has made so many mistakes dealing with the virus. “No government should have a right to stick drugs in your arm,” Mr Bolt said. “It seems to me that Morrison – and many of our political leaders have gone power mad in this virus panic”. Following public backlash, Prime Minister Scott Morrison wound back comments about making the COVID-19 vaccine "as mandatory as possible". The Prime Minister appeared on Sydney radio confirming vaccines would not be made compulsory. The federal government said it would like to see a 95 per cent uptake in any vaccine rollout to ensure herd immunity could be achieved. Mr Bolt said Mr Morrison “sounded like he realised he's gone too far”.

How about we wait till a vaccine is finalised, after human trials, and the impact on children, the elderly, pregnant women etc is assessed by medical experts, rather than Scott Morrison jumping the gun (as he did with his COVID-app super flop).

People of my age are still haunted by the memory of Thalidomide, a supposedly safe drug that wrecked lives. I recall a girl up the road with one arm. Policy must be: Safety first, every precaution taken. Not a PM shooting his mouth off. He'll be shocked by the resistance to this.

“Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced on Wednesday the Australian government has signed a letter of intent to procure the University of Oxford’s vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) and to provide it free to all Australians. All the signs are promising so far, as the vaccine has been shown to provoke an immune response in humans and hasn’t yet caused serious side effects. But there’s a risk the vaccine may not fully protect against COVID-19 in humans. It still needs to pass through phase 3 trials, which are currently recruiting and expecting results at the end of the year. So we can’t get too excited yet. Importantly, it also hasn’t been tested on vulnerable groups, having mainly been tested so far on young, healthy individuals. It may still produce serious side effects we don’t yet know about. The candidate vaccine, called “ChAdOx1 nCoV-19”, has been developed by University of Oxford researchers and is being tested in human trials in partnership with multinational pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, which will also produce and market the vaccine. The vaccine uses a virus that naturally infects chimpanzees, called chimpanzee adenovirus, as a way to carry the gene for the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein into human cells. The human cells then express this gene, producing significant amounts of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein inside the body, which the immune system then produces antibodies against. Because SARS-CoV-2 uses its spike protein to invade human cells, the presence of these antibodies induced by the vaccine should hopefully prevent SARS-COV-2 from entering and infecting the cells.
The vaccine also stimulates the production of special immune cells called T cells, which may kill infected human cells that have virus hiding inside of them. Importantly, the next time the immune system of a vaccinated person sees the SARS-COV-2 spike protein, it knows what to do, and generates antibodies and T cells even faster, showing immunological memory. All the signs are promising thus far, but there’s a risk at this stage the vaccine may not protect fully against COVID-19 in humans. Indeed, most new candidate vaccines do not work during the development and testing phases. However, as there are more than 160 different SARS-CoV-2 candidate vaccines based on diverse technologies in development, with 29 in clinical trials, it’s likely some will successfully make it through the pipeline. There are several other candidate vaccines being tested in Australia, including at the University of Queensland. The Australian government has also invested in its development financially, though no supply deal has been announced as yet.”
Anti-vaxxers are getting angry, but the government does not worry about them since the past organised opposition has not been able to get up a coherent legal challenge, and I imagine that it will be difficult to organise even against even mandatory vaccinations unless new groups take the lead. Can’t wait.” Bill Gates was a common theme. “Is this the one from Dr Bill Gates that believes in lowering the world’s population by use of vaccines significantly to help with ‘climate change’?” one reader asked. Another said, “The grim reaper is in the house. Bill Gates must be rubbing his hands with all the billions of dollars that he will make.” One added, “Considering Bill Gates is a eugenicist and this fraudulent orchestrated pandemic is all about the UN’s Agenda 21 and depopulation I think I’ll pass.” Many comments questioned the need for a vaccine given the recovery rate. “We need a vaccine for a virus that has a 99.5 per cent cure rate, without the vaccine. Let that sink in,” one wrote. Another person warned “don’t order too many”. “Most people don’t need a vaccine for something that has a 99.96 (per cent) recovery rate and hydroxychloroquine is a much safer alternative,” she said. The recovery rate in Australia is about 97 per cent.”
A recovery rate of 97 per cent? Wow! There I was thinking that the Wuhan flu was a new Black Death with bodies piled ten high on the street.
“Many were also concerned about their vaccine coming with a side of 5G microchips. “Leave my body alone Bill Gates, I don’t want your 5G tracking inside me,” one wrote. Another said, “Say no to vaccines and no to chips. They can’t force you.” Some questioned why the vaccine was “free”. It’s not – the Australian taxpayer will be paying for it. “No company gives a multi-billion dollar vaccine away for ‘free’,” one commenter said. “Also the pharma company also apparently states that they are not legally responsible for anything that goes wrong. It’s like playing Russian roulette. No thanks.” One person explained, “The Mark of the Beast is here. That’s why it’s free.” The question of whether the vaccine should be mandatory sparked heated debate, even among pro-vaccination readers. “I’m no anti-vaxxer, I get my flu shot every year and an a very strong supporter of mandatory immunisation. This however sounds a bit scary,” one wrote. “You can’t release a vaccine onto the public that has not gone through a proper rigorous testing program.” Similarly, another said, “I’m not keen on any COVID vaccine. A successful vaccine takes years of testing and trials. All these COVID vaccines have been rushed, and we don’t know the possible side effects and long-term effects.” One woman said she was “not choosing to be a anti-vaxxer”. “I’m far from it, however I would be wanting way more information released about the vaccine before it’s injected into myself or into my family,” she wrote. “I feel it’s been rushed, and no one knows about any of the side effects, long-term effects as yet.”
