Milo Loses It: Civil War II Stress? By Chris Knight
Gay Alt Right dynamo Milo Yiannopoulos, perhaps in jest, perhaps out of utter frustration, has called for death squads to gun down journalists. Could there be a more stupid, “shoot oneself in the foot” thing to say? Wasn’t the narrative that the extreme Left were the violent ones, and here we have this self-defeating, immoral, illegal, nonsense:
“Milo Yiannopoulos has started issuing reporters threatening messages when asked to comment for stories. “I can’t wait for the vigilante squads to start gunning journalists down on sight,” the right-wing nationalist told Observer over text message, in response to a longer feature in development about an Upper East Side restaurant he is said to frequent. When asked to elaborate on who specifically had upset him, Yiannopoulos explained that the statement was his “standard response to a request for comment.” Yiannopoulos also sent the message to The Daily Beast’s Will Sommer in an article examining the struggling U.K. Independence Party, which the conservative commentator is reportedly seeking to join as part of, what an Info Wars host describes as, a “soft coup” lead by nationalist figures. Yiannopoulos posted a picture on Instagram of the veiled threat issued to Sommer, captioning it “where is the lie.”
Even if this is just another example of Milo’s flamboyant “Liberace” style, it is not thought out. There are too many unhinged people out there who could act on such comments with tragic results. Such shootings have already occurred by Leftist figures. There is presently a campaign to commit violence/harassment against not only Trump supporters, but all Republicans and even government administrators, fuelled by Maxine Waters:
Violence begets a violent response, in a crazy “dialectics,” and hence the advice given to threaten officials, to arm themselves against these threats:
“As resistance to the Trump administration moves from Twitter to the streets, many on the right are anticipating that protests will turn violent. Trump’s aides, they say, should arm themselves. Last weekend saw chanting protesters camped outside Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s house; White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders booted from a Virginia restaurant with her family; and Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi screamed at and spat on by a progressive mob as she tried to attend a movie in Tampa. It also saw Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters (California) – a committed anti-Trumper who’s called for the President’s impeachment dozens of times – come out and condone public harassment of Trump officials.
“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” said Waters. The political left’s rage has spiked since news about the Trump administration’s separation of children from their illegal immigrant parents threw the President’s immigration policy into the national spotlight. President Trump hit back at Waters, calling her “an extraordinarily low IQ person,” but to many on the right, the new-found aggression of the anti-Trump left means Republicans need to get concealed carry permits and arm up.”
Perhaps, viewed in this context, Milo is only noting in his own way that Civil War 2.0 is already underway in the US of A, and indeed, 31 percent of Americans in one survey said that this civil war will take place in the next five years:
“A shocking 31% of voters say it’s likely that the United States will experience a second civil war over the next five years, according to a new Rasmussen poll. Breaking it down by race, 44% of blacks think a second civil war is likely in the next five years, while 28% of whites and 36% of other minority voters are similarly concerned. …
• While 31% of voters say civil war is “likely” in the next five years, 11% say it’s “Very Likely”
• 59% of respondents are concerned that those opposed to Trump will resort to violence
• 37% of Democrats and 32% of Republicans fear that a second civil war is imminent
• Voters who believe the nation is divided has jumped from 50% before Trump’s inauguration to 55%
• 42% of voters say the country is headed in the right direction - a figure which ran in the mid-to upper 20% range for most weeks during the last year of Obama’s presidency
• 51% of voters blame Trump for his poor relationship with the media, however only 40% think it’s possible for the president to do anything the media will approve of.
• 51% of voters agree with Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate Matt Flynn, who said that his party is “pickled in identity politics and victimology.”
Somebody might even do a rap song about it, which might go like this, my creation:
Civil War today
Civil War today!
Burning down the USA!
All us antifa come out to play
Come to make the racists pay!
So all the migrants can stay
Forever and a day
Make USA communist today!
Socialist in each and every way!
Etc. Etc. …
