Is the Earth Flat? By Uncle Len the Flathead

Even someone as dumb as Uncle Len knows a few things, like that the Earth is not flat. It is not a sphere either, but has some kind of weird squashed ball shape due to the excessive amounts of bs produced in places like the US, Europe and Australia. But, don’t ask the 00 generation about this:

“Those who believe the Earth is flat vary in the exact theories, but whether they believe in science or religious literature as the basis for their claims, a new YouGov study reveals that 2% of Americans resolutely say the earth is flat. While an overwhelming majority of Americans (84%) believe that the Earth is round, at least 5% of the public say they used to believe that but now have their doubts. Flat earthers find traction in their beliefs among a younger generation of Americans. Young millennials, ages 18 to 24, are likelier than any other age group to say they believe the Earth is flat (4%). 8215 US adults were questioned on Feb 6, 2018. Results are weighted to be representative of the US population.”

Are these the same peole who pose on YouTube their exploits in sucking condoms up their noses?

“The exact origin of this trend is unknown,” notes The Free Thought Project, “but in recent weeks teens across the country have been snorting condoms and putting the footage on YouTube to catch their 15 minutes of fame — or perhaps 15 minutes of shame.” YouTube. Naturally. You can’t learn about various historical, political, or social issues from a conservative standpoint on YouTube without having that content “restricted,” but you can watch an idiot teenager inhale a condom up his or her nose all day long and no one sees anything wrong with that, apparently. Search the term “condom challenge,” says The Free Thought Project, and you’ll bring up more than 770,000 results on the social media platform, most showing young people performing this nasty — and potentially dangerous — feat.”

I don’t understand the magic of statistics, where some data can be weighted, and bingo, it is suddenly representative of a bigger population, which was not sampled, and should be unknown. It must be the same statistical methodology used by those predicting election results, which is almost always, wrong. And, as for snorting condoms, well it seems that today kids will do anything for 15 minutes of fame on YouTube. Maybe they could one day be really brave and do something like distribute social credit leaflets. No, that would take real courage.
