For that Money, Maybe I Too Should Jump Ship and become a Pirate … eh … a Climate Protester!!! By James Reed
Follow the money trail – that is always good advice about getting to the bottom of things, of who has greased whose palms. The climate zealots, for example, seem to be on a good wicket:
“Extinction Rebellion is paying activists up to £400 a week to lead the protests that have brought chaos to the streets of Britain, documents seen by The Mail on Sunday reveal. Protesters have received payments totalling more than £70,000 in four months alone. But the eco-protest group privately fears it could face a six-figure tax bill if the money, which is given as expenses, is deemed to be payment for work done on XR's behalf. Last night, one Tory MP called on HMRC to launch an immediate investigation into the movement's tax affairs. Most of the thousands of activists who brought chaos to London last week were unpaid volunteers, but a select number are claiming the funds which enable them to dedicate their efforts to the protest group, also known as XR. This newspaper has seen claims for expenses from 168 activists, including Tamsin Omond, a baronet's granddaughter who has appeared in Tatler and rubbed shoulders with Boris Johnson – and who asked for money after ditching some public relations clients to concentrate on protests. A dossier of files from within XR reveals the inner workings of the protest movement and its finances.
They show how:
• Activists have been paid more than £200,000 since the start of the scheme;
• The cost of the payments is increasing by 'at least £40,000 a month';
• Activists are targeting 'high net worth individuals' for more funds;
• They spent £5,000 on a camping tour of Europe for key members.
The revelations come as the number of activists arrested in the current XR protests approaches 1,300.”
That is a lot of money. So where does it come from?
“While 16-year-old Greta Thunberg has become the face of the climate strike movement, it’s no longer gatherings of children. A litany of well-funded, left-wing activist groups have partnered to generate a week of climate protests known as the “Global Climate Strike:” Sept 20, through 27, bookending the U.N. climate conference. At least 22 of those partners have been funded by liberal billionaire George Soros who spends nearly $1 billion a year on groups pushing a variety of left-wing causes. Together, 22 organizations listed as international or North American partners of the Global Climate Strike received at least $24,854,592 from Soros’ Open Society Network between 2000-2017. The liberal media celebrated Thunberg’s arrival in New York and the global protests held Sept. 20, and will likely to do the same for the second round. ABC’s Maggi Rulli shrieked, “Now, look at what her movement has become!” MSNBC even promoted grotesque gestures such as German protesters “simulated hangings.” calling it a “striking visual message to push for action.” Berliners stood on ‘ice blocks with nooses around their necks. A stark call for change before it’s too late,” reported MSNBC’s Yasmin Vossoughian on Sept. 20.
There are, of course, other Deep State figures and organisations involved, all with a globalist, New World Order agenda. Totally predictable.
Oh … the protesters also like to take of their clothes, perhaps in a protest about the consumer excesses of the fashion industry!
Anything for attention.
