Australia is for Sale, and has Been for a Long Time By James Reed
I have assembled a large number of articles updating the vast selloff of Australia which is occurring now. We have pretty much lost this country, and organisations that should be fighting this, are caving in:
“KAP Federal Member for Kennedy, Bob Katter has today slammed the National Farmers Federation (NFF) after they appeared on national television and announced they were lobbying the government to provide financial incentives to drought-affected farmers to leave their land; a campaign which is being echoed by the National Party. A livid Mr Katter said, “Your solution is to get rid of the farmers. It is in the back of the mind of every intelligent Australian ‘why do you want these people out?’ So your big corporate masters, Chinese investors, prominent amongst them can buy them out and we can have corporate farmers. The city suits and foreign nations will be our farmers and we peasants will be out there working for nothing in little towns that are vanishing. That is the solution by National Farmers Federation.”
“A multi-billion dollar Singaporean food company is selling 89,000 megalitres of Australian water to a Canadian pension fund. The mega sale of Australian permanent water rights comes as the country is crippled by one of the worst droughts in its history. On Tuesday, NSW brought in a complete ban on hoses as part of the toughest water restrictions implemented for more than a decade. But no such problem existed for food and agriculture giant Olam International, which sold the 89 billion litres of permanent water rights for an astonishing $490 million. The company sold it to an entity associated with the Public Sector Pension Investment Board, one of Canada's largest pension investment managers, according to Straits Times. It will use the water to irrigate almond trees, in a business venture likely to draw criticism over foreign ownership of farms and water. The water rights are in the lower Murray-Darling Basin. The chairman of the Victorian Farmers Federation's water council, Richard Anderson, told the Sydney Morning Herald: 'Really, all you've got is a change of ownership, it (the water) has gone from a Singapore-owned company to a Canadian pension fund. 'It's a big bulk of water but it's still being used in agriculture. 'It's not as if they've just come in as a speculator and said ''we'll go and buy a big patch of water and we'll trade it every year".' In a separate deal, the same Canadian pension fund has bought 12,000 hectares of almond orchards in Victoria, in a move likely to draw criticism of foreign ownership of farms and water.”
“China is buying up Australian land, infrastructure and businesses at an alarming rate as it seeks to project power and influence beyond its shores. The communist nation of 1.4billion people owns an airport in Western Australia, nine million hectares of Australian land, several Aussie coalmines and wind farms and even the Port of Darwin, a key strategic asset. China is also the largest foreign owner of Australian water and has projected soft power Down Under by planting Communist Party-approved Mandarin teachers in schools and universities. Last week 'disturbing' stories emerged that China tried to install a spy as a federal MP - and it is also suspected of carrying out major cyber attacks on Parliament. As experts warn that China 'will not stop' meddling in Australian politics and its state-sponsored companies lock their sights on more Aussie businesses.”
“Australian visas are being advertised to rich foreigners in a move slammed by critics as 'immoral'. The photo of a Chinese billboard in Australia promoting the Significant Investor Visa was uploaded to website Reddit on Thursday night, which has been criticised as 'selling residency'. Wealthy elites can get a four-year stay in Australia on a 188 provisional visa in return for an investment of $5 million in approved instruments such as government bonds, funds, projects and companies approved by the Australian Government.”
And, so it goes on:
Many such articles can be assembled, but it is clear that our political class, and local capitalist class have sold us out, and are servants of the New World Order.
