How Unsustainable Debt and Foreign Wars Will Cause America to Collapse! By Chris Knight (Florida)

Empires rarely fall in a single, spectacular moment. They corrode from within, piling up debt, stretching armies thin, and distracting themselves with endless overseas adventures until the core finally buckles. America is no exception. If you want to see the writing on the wall, just follow the money and the troop deployments.

The United States government is now more than $35 trillion in debt, and growing. Politicians of both parties treat this not as a crisis, but as business as usual. Every year, Washington spends more than it collects, and instead of fixing the problem, leaders simply kick the can down the road. Interest payments alone are ballooning, soon set to exceed what the government spends on national defence.

This isn't abstract accounting. When a government borrows endlessly, it devalues its currency, erodes the savings of its citizens, and locks future generations into an economic straitjacket. America's addiction to deficit spending is not just reckless, it is suicidal.

At the same time, America continues to maintain a sprawling military footprint across the globe. From the Middle East to Eastern Europe to the Pacific, U.S. forces are deployed in conflicts that rarely serve the actual defence of the homeland. Every foreign war, whether in Iraq, Afghanistan, or Ukraine, has drained trillions of dollars, cost thousands of American lives, and left behind chaos rather than stability.

The strategy is always the same: declare a new enemy, pour resources into "democracy building" or "regional stability," and then quietly admit, decades later, that nothing has been achieved. Meanwhile, roads, bridges, schools, and communities inside America crumble for lack of investment.

History offers a clear warning. The Roman Empire bled itself dry by waging wars in far-off lands while ignoring the rot within. Debt, corruption, and overextension brought down the greatest empire of antiquity. America is repeating the pattern almost beat for beat. The combination of unsustainable debt and endless wars abroad is not strength, it is the classic path to collapse.

Collapse won't happen all at once. It will begin with inflation eating away at household wealth, interest payments crowding out essential services, and allies quietly distancing themselves from an America they no longer trust to pay its bills. Then will come the crises abroad, wars America can no longer afford to fight, alliances it cannot maintain, rivals it cannot deter.

The warning signs are already flashing, yet the ruling class shrugs. They imagine America too big to fail, forgetting that every empire before believed the same.

Unless the U.S. reins in its debt and abandons its obsession with foreign wars, the collapse is not a question of if. It is a question of when.
